Production Description:

The show tells the true story of the Black Mafia Family, one of America’s most notorious and powerful organized crime syndicates.

Headed by brothers Demetrius and Terry Flenory, BMF operated out of Detroit in the early 2000s. At the height of their power, they generated millions of dollars a month from drug trafficking, money laundering, and other criminal activities. But as the brothers’ empire continued to grow, so did the feds’ investigation into their operations.

In 2005, Demetrius and Terry were indicted on federal racketeering and conspiracy charges, and they were both sentenced to 30 years in prison. “BMF” chronicles their rise to power and eventual fall, and it features interviews with members of the Black Mafia Family and law enforcement officials who worked on the case.

The series is directed by Mario Van Peebles and executive produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson.

We are a startup Vintage Lingerie Company in need of 2 models. Our relationship would start as a collaboration with the potential to move towards a paying position. We are happy to work with aspiring/new models who are looking to learn new techniques, build their portfolio and social media following, and gain professional references.

We are not requiring perfect stereotypical model-types, but rather we are just looking for anyone who fits the sizes we need and who wants a collaboration with us as described.

Some photos will include your head/face, while some are of neck down only. Your photos will be seen on our multiple websites, on our social media, in advertisements, and potentially other brand mediums.

We’re looking for 2 models with just a couple of size needs:

1. Size 0-2, Bust size: A-B cup.

2. Size 10-12, Bust size: any.

OTHERWISE NO REQUIREMENTS in terms of age, height, body type, skin or hair color, body hair, hair style, tattoos, piercings, etc. Finger/toenails don’t need to be painted, there’s no need to be perfectly waxed or shaved, and you don’t need to fit into any ‘photoshoot perfect’ stereotype. We really want REAL women, so the details of your body are not likely to be an issue, as long as you are one of the sizes we are looking for. Most things can be edited in post-production, so if you have things you’re uncomfortable with about your body we can usually photoshop them out easily; and we can often include your opinions in the post-production process should you want certain things airbrushed out.

To collab with us as a model you will receive the following:

1. Coaching and training during both catalog and editorial type photoshoots

2. Complete and professional copies (after photo-retouching) of all usable photos from every shoot to include in your portfolio

3.  Guaranteed professional references and letters of recommendation to potential employers as needed in perpetuity (so long as your collaboration with us meets standards which will be outlined to you in detail prior to work)

4. Credits for every photo we use of you on our social media, including links to your social media accounts to help you gain awareness and followers and to show your work

5. Extra time working with us if you request—during which we can help you to learn techniques, take practice photos using various stylings, and grow your skills.

If you have any other things you’d hope to get out of a collab with us, we are happy to discuss your desires further!

These are unpaid positions. You receive the above opportunities in return for about 4-10 hours per month of modeling time with us (plus more if you request extra technique training and practice). As our business grows, we will be looking for your improvement so we can offer you hourly pay.  There is no requirement to continue with us should you land other work.

Even if you have never modelled and are just interested in seeing how it goes, we welcome you and look forward to helping you start. We welcome ALL looks and types and believe anyone can be a model it just takes willpower to get there!

Photoshoot atmosphere:

The clothing is lingerie, but there will be no nudity in any photos, meaning no exposure of nipples or genitals in final print photos. We will ask that you bring black and white underwear pairs to every shoot to wear underneath most lingerie, and we will provide pasties to cover nipples when bras are not worn. Our brand is women-owned and women-run: female photographer, stylist, editor etc. Models are provided with a bathroom and robe as well as a dressing area for privacy. We have a privacy agreement, and work standards & collaboration agreement to sign upon beginning all collaborations.

Location of photoshoots: is primarily our studio in Bristol, CT. We ask that models come to that location about 2-4 times per month. Moving forward there will be more on-location photography in surrounding areas and opportunity for more creativity.

TO INQUIRE: please respond with your name, general area of residence, and a description of any modeling history or reason why you want to model if this would be your first time. If you are comfortable, Please attach either a full body photo or a link to your social media, Or we can go over those in person during an interview.

Looking forward to hearing from you! Any questions, please let us know.

What are Casting Calls?

Casting calls are auditions organized by casting directors to find suitable actors for various roles in film, television, theater, and commercials. These are your gateway to the screen and stage, providing a platform to showcase your acting skills to key decision-makers in the industry.

Popular Filming Locations and Their Impact

Several cities around the world are renowned for being film-making hubs, each offering unique opportunities for actors:

1. Hollywood, Los Angeles: The heart of the film industry, Hollywood is synonymous with cinema and television. Here, casting calls are plentiful, ranging from blockbuster movies to independent films and everything in between.

2. New York City: Known for both its theater scene and film productions, NYC is a vibrant hub for casting calls, especially for Broadway shows and live performances.

3. Atlanta, Georgia: With its favorable tax incentives, Atlanta has become a hotspot for film and TV productions, resulting in a surge of casting calls for actors in recent years.

4. Vancouver, Canada: Often referred to as “Hollywood North,” Vancouver is a top destination for filming due to its diverse landscapes and favorable filming conditions, leading to many opportunities for actors.

5. London, UK: A significant center for film and theatre, London offers numerous casting calls for everything from feature films to West End productions.

Tips for Navigating Casting Calls

  • Stay Informed: Regularly check specialized websites like Project Casting, where you can find daily updates on casting calls in various cities. Utilizing these platforms can help you stay ahead of the competition by applying early to newly posted opportunities.
  • Prepare Thoroughly: Always arrive at auditions prepared. This means having your lines memorized, understanding the character you are auditioning for, and being ready to take direction or feedback on the spot.
  • Network: The film industry is as much about talent as it is about connections. Attend industry events, workshops, and festivals in these popular locations to connect with casting directors, filmmakers, and other actors.

How do I find a legit casting call?

To find legitimate casting calls, start by using reputable platforms like Project Casting, which vets postings to ensure authenticity. Always research the casting company or director associated with the call. Legitimate opportunities typically don’t require payment to audition, and any contact should come from professional email addresses rather than personal accounts.

Can you audition without an agent?

Yes, you can audition without an agent. Many open casting calls and online platforms allow individual actors to submit directly for roles. While having an agent can provide access to more exclusive opportunities and handle negotiations, many new actors start their careers by attending open calls or self-submitting for roles online.

What is the difference between a casting call and an audition?

A casting call is a notice put out by producers or casting directors seeking potential actors for roles, inviting them to apply or present themselves. An audition is the process where actors perform a specific piece, like a monologue or a script, in front of the casting team after responding to a casting call. Essentially, the casting call is the request, and the audition is the response.

What is the best free casting call website?

Generally, you should not pay to attend casting calls. Legitimate casting calls and auditions do not require payment from actors. If a casting call asks for money to audition or to secure a role, it is likely a scam. The standard practice is that any fees associated with the casting process are covered by the production.
