Job Detail: Alessi Hartigan Casting is currently seeking individuals aged 18 and above of all ethnicities to fill the roles of editors and office staff for an upcoming A24 Feature film. This production will be shot in Albuquerque, and we are specifically looking for individuals with diverse appearances, well-groomed facial hair, and those who can embody the essence of a dynamic Los Angeles publication office.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as background talent, portraying office staff and editors in various scenes.
  • Take direction from the director and production team regarding placement and actions within the office set.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and be punctual for all scheduled shooting times.
  • Collaborate with other background actors and the production crew to create a realistic and engaging office environment.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • All ethnicities are encouraged to apply.
  • Must have a polished appearance with well-groomed facial hair for male candidates.
  • Must be able to self-report to the set location in Albuquerque.
  • No prior acting experience necessary, but a professional demeanor and the ability to take direction are essential.

Compensation Details:

  • Rate: $104 for 8 hours of work.
  • Additional compensation for overtime hours, if applicable, will be provided in accordance with industry standards and regulations.

Casting Call: Background Talent

Job Description:

We are seeking background talent to join the production of the ACTRA Feature Film, “The Unrestricted War.” This is a primarily Asian-themed project, encompassing various Asian ethnicities such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc. The production offers opportunities for both ACTRA and non-union spots, with several roles requiring continuity.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as background talent in various scenes, enhancing the visual authenticity of the film.
  • Follow directions provided by the director and production team to accurately portray the intended atmosphere and setting of each scene.
  • Maintain professionalism and focus during long periods of waiting and filming.

Requirements:

  • Age range: 6 – 80 years old.
  • Ethnically Asian (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc).
  • No previous acting experience required, though it is a plus.
  • Ability to take direction and work well within a team.
  • Reliable and punctual.

Compensation:

  • Compensation will be provided based on ACTRA standards for union members.
  • Non-union talent will receive a competitive daily rate.
  • Meals and refreshments will be provided on set.
  • Transportation stipends may be provided for select roles and locations.
