Healthcare Commercial Casting Call

Casting: 20 Non-Union/Non-Speaking Principal Roles 

Ages 9-72 years FOR A HEALTHCARE COMMERCIAL
Shooting Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvannia
Date: August 18-22, 2022.

All should be able to work any day that week.
Some talent may be needed for two days.

Rates: $1000/day for 1 Year buyout

• Fitting for those within 150 miles of Pittsburgh on August 17th – $300
  
• Those beyond 150 miles of Pittsburgh will be fitted on the shoot day.
  

Mileage will be provided for those outside of the 150 mile radius but within driving distance of Pittsburgh – No hotel or per diem.

COVID PROTOCOLS: VAXXES ARE NOT MANDATORY, however
the client would prefer talent to be fully vaxxed with at least 1 booster BUT If you do not have these vaccinations, they will require the talent to provide production with a negative covid PCR test done 2 days prior to their first day of shooting.

Self-tape direction:
Slate on a head to toe shot, face the camera, smile and say your name, role, city, and agent (if you have one) and if you are 56-72 yrs, please also let us know if you are a good/confident swimmer and are ok to wear a bathing suit in a scene. Then stop and reset the camera (or move towards camera) into a medium shot (waist or chest up) and answer the question:

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE VACATION AND WHY?

• 60 seconds or so is fine.
  
• When sending your self-tapes, please also INCLUDE a recent headshot and full length still photo (well-lit smart phone smiling photos are fine if you don’t have a professional photos. No hats or sunglasses please).

WE ARE CASTING: Men and Women (25-72 yrs) and Children (9-12 yrs) – white, black, hispanic, bi-racial and ethnically ambiguous.
(20) roles in the following age ranges are available and the director will choose which role that he would like booked talent to play, such as doctor, patient, visitor, health care worker, park goer, swimmer (56-72 year olds only – please note in your slate if you are a good swimmer) or school age child.

Note: when you say your role name it should be one of the age ranges listed below. (For instance one would say, Hi I am Jane Smith for the 9-12 Year old girl). Then answer the question: What was your favorite vacation and why?)

FEMALE GYMNASTS NEEDED FOR HOSPITAL COMMERCIAL!

GYMNAST (16-25) – Female

• Should be someone who can do an impressive floor routine.
• Must be someone who has competed in gymnastic competitions at a high level.
• You will be required to do a portion of an expert level floor routine convincingly on our shoot day.

FILMS IN PITTSBURGH 8/10, 8/11 or 8/12 – SPECIFIC DATES PER TALENT TBD

Pays $1300-$1700 for Adult Roles

COVID PROTOCOLS

• All should be fully vaxxed (booster not required) by the shoot date and will need to provide proof of vaccination upon booking.
  
• Home testing will be provided to the talent prior to the shoot. No Covid test stipend.

For the Audition part: This gymnast has been recovering from an orthopedic procedure and being able to get back on her feet and get back into the gym is very important to her. This is her first time practicing her routine since recovering. She walks to the corner of the mat, takes a deep breath, looks up and then explodes into her routine. After performing, she takes a breath and then she explodes with a big smile of confidence.

Shoots in Pittsburgh for 1 day August 17 or 18. Must be available either day. Virtual Zoom Interview this Monday, July 25th.

Fot those outside of Pittsburgh area, but wthiin driving distance, client witll pay mileage, hotel and per diem. Airfare (under 90 minute flights) will be considered for those outside of 150 mile radius of Pittsburgh (Chicago, NYC, Philly etc.)

• Adults $1200-$1500 per person for shoot and usage
• Kids $500-$750/person per person for shoot and usage
• Usage: Two (2) Years. North America for all print, in-store signage and worldwide for online and digital.

No vaccination required. Client will require testing.

Production Title: HBO Max Mini-Series Casting Call

Job Description: Casting directors are now casting British Legion Dragoons to work on scenes filming in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday, July 20th. Must be able to work from the said date. 

Role: 8 British Legion Dragoons

• All ethnicities
• 18 years old and above
• Male or Female
• We will be filming three scenes – 1 indoor, and two outdoor
• No horses needed

Covid Test: TBD

Rate: Pay is $250/Day if you have a complete kit 

Production Title: Nutritional Drink Commercial

Job Description: Casting directors are now casting actors to work on scenes filming in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on Thursday, July 14th. Must be able to work from the said date. 

Casting: Women 

• 30-60 years old
• All body types (including plus size)
• All ethnicities
• Must be local in Pittsburgh 

Covid Test: Not required 

Rate: Pay is $800/day 

Production Title: Thomas Jefferson Mini-Series

Job Description: Casting directors are now casting actors to work on scenes filming in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from July – September 2022. Must be able to work from the said date. 

Roles:  

Young Thomas Jefferson (Principal Role)

• Age Range: 14-early 20s
• Male
• Caucasian.
• Red hair is a plus but not necessary.

British Dragoons

• Age Range: 18-50 years old
• Male
• Caucasian
• Thin to athletic builds are needed. Clean-shaven. These soldiers will be a part of a tavern scene and a montage of raiding various buildings.
• Must have the complete kit – uniform, pistol/musket, accouterments.
• Horse & tack are not necessary,
• Work Horses are not needed for all days.
• The setting is Alex Shoots on July 20, 2022, without Horses.

British Soldiers 

• Age Range: 18-40 years old
• Male
• Caucasian
• Thin to athletic builds are needed. 
• Clean-shaven. These soldiers will be a part of a marching column montage.
• Must have the complete kit – uniform, musket, accouterments.
• Works multiple days of filming in September.

Continental Soldiers

• Age Range: 18-40 years old
• Male
• Caucasian
• Thin to athletic builds are needed. Clean-shaven.
• These soldiers will be a part of a montage doing various duties.
• Must have the complete kit – uniform, musket, accouterments.
• Works one day of filming in September.

Civilians

• Age Range: 16 – 70 years old
• Male & Female.
• Caucasian & African American.
• Thin to athletic builds are needed. These Civilians will be seen crossing camera, standing in a crowd, or given specific duties.
• Must have a complete kit uniform
• We will not have extra clothing for you.
• Women must have all the proper underpinnings, etc.
• Men must be clean-shaven. No exceptions. Shoots in July and September.

Rate: Pay is $200 (Soldiers).  Additional bump for Mounted w/horse (if needed)

Production Title: Nutritional Drink Commercial 

Job Description: Casting directors are now casting actors to work on scenes filming in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, from Wednesday, July 13th to Thursday, July 14th. Must be able to work from the said date. 

Casting: Women

• Age range: 30’s to ’40s 
• average build, in good shape, but do not have to be athletic
• All ethnicities
• Must be local to the Pittsburgh area

Rate: Pay is $2000-$3000 per day for two days

Production Title: Netflix ‘The Deliverance’

Job Description: Casting directors are now casting background extras to work on scenes filming in the Monroeville area outside Pittsburgh on Tuesday, June 28th.

Role: Patients Undergoing Chemotherapy

• Completely shaved heads OR are willing to shave/buzz their hair
• To portray patients undergoing Chemotherapy
• Ages 18+ years old
• All genders
• All ethnicities

Covid Test: June 28, 2022

A reminder that there is a Covid Vaccine Mandate in place that requires everyone ages 5+ to be vaccinated unless an exception is approved. Following CDC guidelines, the protocol for ages 5-11 is the primary series required, no booster. For ages 12 and up, the primary series plus Booster is required. To be fully vaccinated, you need to be 14 days before your second immunization and less than five months from the Booster (if you do not have the Booster).

Rate: Pay is $175 for 12 hrs or less + $50 for Covid Test

Job Description: Casting directors are now casting, actors, models, and influencers to work on scenes filming in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Thursday, June 23rd. Must be available to work full-time.

Casting:
