A non-union short film is casting for multiple speaking roles in a character-driven story filming this summer. The film blends heartfelt emotion with humor, following a father and son navigating an unexpected life change. This project is ideal for actors who enjoy grounded performances, strong character arcs, and working on an indie short film with meaningful storytelling.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform scripted scenes with emotional depth and natural comedic timing

• Collaborate with the director and cast to bring layered characters to life

• Participate in multiple shoot days depending on role

• Maintain professionalism and reliability throughout production

Requirements

• Male Actor (Gil): 40s–50s, heavyset, warm and lovable with natural humor and strong comedic timing

• Male Actor (John): Mid-to-late 20s, athletic, confident with expressive reactions and emotional range; basketball skills required

• Female Actor (Sue): Early 20s, sharp, sarcastic, and emotionally intelligent

• All ethnicities encouraged to apply

• Comfortable performing both emotional and comedic material

• Prior acting experience preferred
