Overview

The Video & Sound Production Specialist must demonstrate a command of the daily workflow for the advertising/marketing team to include development of Video & Sound project timelines by managing schedules, maintaining company brand standards across all projects, and by demonstrating a thorough understanding of specifications for all marketing/advertising projects.

The Video & Sound Production Specialist is responsible for our media deliverables, including TV, digital video content production, all radio, (both streaming and terrestrial), and all in-store messaging which includes all overhead in store announcements, in store music, and queuing monitor advertising.This role impacts our branding content and messaging across multiple impressions for our customers.

Responsibilities:

TV Production & Digital Video:

  • Owns the relationship with outside vendors to execute national, cable, local + top 10 local markets television campaigns and digital video needs from start to finish.
  • Assists in development of all creative briefs and scheduling to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Partners with marketing content team, collecting merchandise information and samples for in store and out of store TV shoots.
  • Supports agency on all network legal TV substantiation.
  • Manages Spanish translations process to ensure accuracy and brand guidelines are met.

Terrestrial Radio, plus all Steaming Radio (Spotify and Pandora)

  • Schedules all seasonal terrestrial radio, all streaming radio, and Grand Opening campaigns.
  • Assists in development of all creative briefs and scheduling to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Proofing all Terrestrial & streaming radio and review of final scripts with team.
  • Manages Spanish translations process to ensure accuracy and brand guidelines are met.
  • Partners with agency on traffic distribution.

In Store Announcements & Music & Queuing content:

  • Owns vendor relationship with Mood Media, ensuring delivery and deadlines are met.
  • Owns calendar and content for all Que monitor content.
  • Manages partnership with internal and external IT teams to make sure all communication is streamlined for Mood & Queuing partnerships.

Qualification:

  • BA Liberal Arts, Marketing, Communications.
  • Broadcast Journalism or Film & Producing a PLUS.
  • 2-4 years of related experience in production, digital film, and live studio production.
  • Strong team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-reliant to collaborate and partner across departments including media, creative, merchandising, in store advertising and outside agencies/ partners.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and deliverables with aggressive deadlines.
  • Understanding off price retail.
  • Passion for social media & digital content creation.
  • Software Skills: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams.

The Weekend Associate Video Producer/Editor is responsible for producing news and social videos from start to finish and will work closely with the News & Social Producers and the PEOPLE Editorial and Audience teams to provide informative and engaging content for People.com and its social platforms. The Weekend Associate Video Producer/Editor will work 5 days a week, but will be able to operate independently on the weekends. The Weekend Associate Video Producer/Editor is a self-starter, has strong edit skills, can pitch and create content that aligns with the PEOPLE brand and voice, and is able to anticipate what video needs and requests they will have to execute in a quick turnaround situation.

70% Editing news and social videos 

20% Researching, script writing

10% Licensing content 

Experience:

Two to three years experience editing in a newsroom or media setting. Entertainment and/or news experience is a plus. 

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Extensive knowledge of Adobe Premiere and After Effects. Strong attention to detail, flexible, communicative, a self-starter that is able to work under tight deadlines.
