Searching for a casting assistant to work in the extras casting office at Cinespace Studio for Chicago Fire and Chicago Med. We work Monday thru Friday and we start at 9am and work until about 8pm or so. You will need to have a working laptop and a car.

This position will start this week. We will shoot until the beginning of May.

You need to be fully vaccinated with two shots and the second shot received over two weeks ago. We wear a mask at work.

This is a PA rate, and not an “on set” job. 

You need to have neat, legible writing as we write many lists.

You need to be always on time, able to juggle many tasks as we book lots of extras. You need to be great on the phone (we call extras who want to work), and be able to work quickly. We like a team spirit, laughter, and to work well together. Courteous attitude and a “let’s get it done” work ethic.

Sr. Video Manager / Executive Producer

You can create a story. You understand how to take a business journey and give it creative class and flair. This could be through overall narrative strength, well-placed humor, or other literary devices that turn a potentially staid concept into something that people actually want to watch.

You also understand business development and how and when video proposal responses are needed and how they should be built. You live and breathe compliance and have extensive experience creating and submitting fully-compliant video proposal responses. You understand the sometimes-tedious Federal Proposal lifecycle and can lean into shaping and development meetings as a Subject Matter Expert. You understand the complex language of a TOR or an RFP and can discern oftentimes unclear language to establish compliance drivers for the response.

Always, you are the glue that holds a video project together. You handle the initial interactions with client to determine project scope, you formulate the story, create the storyboards and scripts, help build the internal team to accomplish that project, and you manage the overall story and its scope from end to end. You are extremely organized and extremely flexible – it’s a delicate balance between listening to needs and helping them achieve a vision that’s greater than they imagined. You work on tight timelines, and you enable other people to be successful within their role on a project.

You will be the glue that holds the team together, too; navigating logistics and using institutional knowledge to keep the group pushing forward and continuing to deliver at a higher quality each time. You will balance the time, resources, and schedule to determine when to deliver in-house and when to lean on and manage outside vendors. Overall, always keeping delivery as the top priority and empowering our teams to win their pursuits.

Work you’ll do

  • Oversee the intake process and help decided priorities for internal pursuit and marketing video requests with Account Team Executives, understanding the goals and challenges, and help determine a clear and actionable creative direction
  • Oversee the development process in shaping the concept, story, and script for pursuit and marketing videos
  • Create and execute the long-term strategy and identify opportunities for growth for the Video Pursuit Team, oversee creation and priorities for team budgets, and manage the logistics of the team at large
  • Researches the market landscape to understand competition
  • Provide oversight and guidance over the work of the Video Pursuit Team ensuring deliveries are compelling and compliant
  • Manage and maintain internal executive account team relationships
  • Be an on-set resource as needed
  • Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite and its tools
  • Knowledge of, and comfort posting to, a variety of file delivery tools (and familiarity with privacy settings and other features), including: Vimeo, YouTube, Google Drive, frame.io and more
  • Knowledge of 508 Compliance requirements, including how to create an .SRT or similar sidecar file for closed captioning

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience on client-facing projects and project management, to include managing multiple concurrent projects with short timelines
  • 10+ years of Video Production Experience
  • 10+ years of writing experience
  • 8+ years of capture and/or bid and proposal work, notably at the Federal government level

Preferred Qualifications

  • Filmmaking or writing degree/accreditation
  • Strong Experience pitching new projects and creative concepts to new and existing stakeholder
  • Strong Experience producing short films with small, agile teams
  • Strong Experience with capture and bid and proposal work like FEDSIM responses

The Video & Sound Production Specialist must demonstrate a command of the daily workflow for the advertising/marketing team to include development of Video & Sound project timelines by managing schedules, maintaining company brand standards across all projects, and by demonstrating a thorough understanding of specifications for all marketing/advertising projects.

The Video & Sound Production Specialist is responsible for our media deliverables, including TV, digital video content production, all radio, (both streaming and terrestrial), and all in-store messaging which includes all overhead in store announcements, in store music, and queuing monitor advertising.This role impacts our branding content and messaging across multiple impressions for our customers.

Responsibilities:

TV Production & Digital Video:

  • Owns the relationship with outside vendors to execute national, cable, local + top 10 local markets television campaigns and digital video needs from start to finish.
  • Assists in development of all creative briefs and scheduling to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Partners with marketing content team, collecting merchandise information and samples for in store and out of store TV shoots.
  • Supports agency on all network legal TV substantiation.

Position Summary

We are seeking an Associate Producer who will work alongside the finishing producing team in a supporting capacity. The Producing team is responsible for oversight and management of the production process from initial pre-pro phase through conform, color and delivery.

Although this is a more junior position, the Associate Producer position is an opportunity to learn and be mentored by some of the most experienced finishing producers in the industry.

The Associate Producer we are looking for should have great inter-personal skills, be meticulous, always organized and work calmly and professionally especially during high pressure situations.

As a member of the production team, this individual will take pride in their work and be an active participant in a dynamic team whose members are constantly looking to develop the capabilities and successes of the department.

This position reports to the Director/Production – Las Palmas.

Main Duties

  • Be a supporting interface between our producing team, client production, client editorial and the various faculties and services at Company 3.
  • An appetite to learn and master the digital finishing workflow including image acquisition technologies, digital camera types, best editorial procedure, online-conform, color correction, LUTs, digital cinema, HDR and deliverable requirements and procedures relevant to each of your projects.
  • Have exceptional organizational skills and be detail oriented.
  • Participate alongside out producing team on regular status calls, production summaries and strategy meetings for high-profile feature & episodic finishing projects.
  • Coordinate with internal operations, scheduling and assist teams to schedule facility resources & preparations for Projects/Sessions
  • Prioritize and ensure timely completion of all intermediate processes and deliverables as per client production schedule and requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal data management team to ensure timely migration of all digital assets relevant to your project into, through and out of our storage infrastructure.
  • Support producers in accounting/billing – Work Order creation, actualization, updating financial and project trackers

What You Bring

  • Experience in features, trailer marketing, episodic, dailies, Post Production or VFX finishing environment.
  • The ability to prioritize, monitor, and manage workload.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to learn and process information quickly is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities and projects is a must.
