RUSH CASTING CALL!!! – NON-UNION
PROJECT: THE CHI – SEASON 6
ROLE: AFRICAN AMERICAN MALE TWINS (AGE 1 – 4 YEARS OLD)
RATE: $250/4
COVID & FILMING DATES: TBD BUT ASAP

LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WHO CAN PLAY THE FOLLOWING:
We are looking for real-life African American male twins to play a recurring role of the baby of a series-regular couple.

We also want to make sure that the children have the correct version of the work permit – a sample is pictured in this post. If they do not yet have work permits, please check our minors registration link on our website (link below by “minors register”) for more information. If you need help, please let us know so we can make it happen ASAP, as the role is meant to be cast ASAP.

To be considered, your child must have a POP Profile. To create a profile, click the following link and then follow the instructions on sending the submission e-mail:
If you already have a POP profile, the parent may continue with the submission email. Make sure that your child’s photos and sizes are up-to-date before submitting it.

General Information regarding our Minors Portal for POP:

The process is slightly different – you will need to visit our website @ www.4starcasting.com to upload your child’s information to the minors’ POP portal.
You will need a separate, unique email for your children (if you, the parent, are registered on our Adult POP portal, it must be a different email). Each and every child must have his or her own email address that will link to his or her own profile.
You can find the paperwork required, including the Parent/Legal Guardian Data Collection Parental Verification and Consent affidavit (which is a new legal document, and not the parental form required to obtain the work permit), in the paperwork for minors on our website. The parent affidavit is required for all children 17 and under. 18 and older should use the adult POP portal. The PARENT AFFIDAVIT MUST be uploaded as a pdf. We fixed the problem with downloading the folder.
You must also upload each child’s work permit as jpeg or png – which should be named with your child’s first and last name, name of the employer listed on the work permit, and the date of issue of the work permit (current and valid, it expires one year from issue date).

While we can accept Empire Casting Co Payroll work permits on some projects, we can not on all, so we suggest uploading the 4 Star Casting work permit over others. We also accept talent agency work permits such as Lily’s, Shirley Hamilton, DeStanti, etc.
The work permit MUST be uploaded as jpg or png.

If you do not upload the forms (work permit, proof of age and parent affidavit) in the required format, then your child’s profile will hover in an uncompleted, pending application. If you use a false document to upload and/or an expired work permit, upon our review we will delete the document and/or work permit, and make the account inactive until the proper documents are sent to us and verified.

If you are having issues – send child(ren)’s name and the email you used to create the profile(s) in an email to either the show you are trying to submit your child for and/or to [email protected] with the subject line: MINORS’ PORTAL UPLOAD ISSUES. We can not look up or help without the information requested.

If your child’s information changes, i.e. look, height and weight, measurements, make sure to log on the computer and update the sizes.

COVID-19 NOTICE: Production will comply with applicable health and safety laws and regulations relating to the COVID-19 pandemic. Background Actors will be required to comply with Production’s then-applicable COVID-19 protocols, including any advance testing and negative test result requirements. Employment will be contingent upon receiving a negative pre-employment test result. Current protocols require testing approximately two days prior to the start of services. In addition, Production is requiring all background actors who work in Zone A to be fully vaccinated as a condition of employment, subject to applicable laws and guild requirements, including reasonable accommodations as required by law. All protocols, including timing and frequency of any required testing, are subject to change.

To continue to be eligible to work in ZONE A, the production requires that you verify that you are up to date on your COVID-19 vaccination.

NOTE THAT THIS DEFINITION HAS BEEN UPDATED TO INCLUDE THE UPDATED, BIVALENT BOOSTER approved and recommended by CDC on 9/1/22. Per the CDC: “Updated COVID-19 boosters add Omicron BA.4 and BA.5 spike protein components to the current vaccine composition, helping to restore protection that has waned since previous vaccination by targeting variants that are more transmissible and immune-evading.” The full CDC guidelines for vaccination and booster recommendations for adults and minors can be found at: https://www.cdc.gov/…/201…/vaccines/stay-up-to-date.html Please note that the CDC has different recommendations for those who are moderately or severely immunocompromised; see: https://www.cdc.gov/…/vaccines/recommendations/immuno.html

“Up-to-date” means the following:
 FOR ADULTS 18+
– You have received full primary dose(s) of the Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson/Janssen vaccine
  AND
– You have received the updated, bivalent booster that was approved for use on 9/1/22 at least 2 months after your last dose of vaccine or booster
FOR MINORS
Pfizer/BioNTech Primary Vaccine
  – Ages 6 mos – 4 years: 3 primary doses
 –  5 – 11 years: 2 primary doses and a booster at least 5 months after last dose
 –  12 – 17 years: 2 primary doses AND an updated, bivalent Pfizer/BioNTech booster at least 2 months after second dose
 Moderna Primary Vaccine
 –  Ages 6 mos – 11 years: 2 primary doses
 –  12 – 17 years: 2 primary doses AND an updated, bivalent Pfizer/BioNTech booster at least 2 months after second dose
 Novavax Primary Vaccine
 – 12 – 17 years: 2 primary doses and an updated, bivalent Pfizer/BioNTech booster at least 2 months after second dose

This production’s HEALTH & SAFETY TEAM will notify you of your requirements after you have submitted your vaccination information. You will then have 21 days after that notification date to complete the above requirements to remain eligible to work for the production.  If it has been less than 2 months since your last dose, you will be eligible to work until 21 days after you become eligible for the updated booster. If you receive the booster during those 21 days, you’ll be cleared to work thereafter.   Examples for this “Grace Period”: Let’s say you are Vaccinated with no booster OR the 1 booster and Health and Safety NOTIFIES you on 9/1/22 that you need the new shot. That means you are ELIGIBLE for the NEW Booster shot and have 21 days from that date, which you would have to get the new shot by 9/22/22 to continue to work on this show. Let’s say you are Vaccinated, and you got a booster shot on 8/21/22. You are NOT eligible for the NEW Booster shot for 2 months, or on 10/21/22. You can still work until then, but you will have to get the booster shot on this date to be eligible to continue work on the show.
