You will also oversee short and long-term planning and ensure acquired content is mirrored on-air and online. This role is charged with development of story ideas with an emphasis on strong storytelling. The person in this role runs the editorial meetings and signs off on stories. The managing editor stays in contact with crews throughout the day and takes the lead in coverage response during breaking news.
