VH1’s ‘Single Ladies’ gets the axe.
The Queen Latifah, Flavor Unit Entertainment Production, was canceled today. In a statement by VH1, they remarked on how proud they were of the three seasons to include drama, romance and style.”Although we’ve decided not to move forward with another season, we hope to work again with the talented cast, creatives and producers as well as our partners at Flavor Unit Entertainment in the near future. We also thank the show’s fans for their support since the premiere in 2011.”
The television series stars Charity Shea, Denise Vasi and LisaRaye McCoy. Single Ladies revolves around three best friend with different ideals on sex, love, and relationships. The series did have some problems including arguments between cast members especially during the first season when, Denise Vasi replaced the former lead Stacey Dash.
The third season averaged about 2.2 million total viewers. The decision to cancel Single Ladies comes after VH1 picked up Hindsight a 1990’s scripted drama.
