Emmy-Winning producer is on the run after stabbing his roommate.
A producer who won a Daytime Emmy earlier this year is wanted by police on charges of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon after stabbing his roommate, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Andre Salaman Bautista, who works under the name Andre Bauth, allegedly stabbed his roommate, actor Clayton Haymes, in Studio City on Tuesday after they got into an argument about the Oscars.
In an interview with CBS Los Angeles, Haymes, 23, said that Bautista bragged that he would someday win five Oscars and became “upset” when his claim was laughed at.
“When he said ‘five Oscars,’ we all kind of laughed a little bit, and he got really upset,” Haymes said.
Bautista, who won a Daytime Emmy for his producing work on the soap opera The Bay, the stabbed Haymes with a kitchen knife before leaving the scene, according to the actor’s account.
