50 Cent has reportedly signed a four-year deal between Starz and the rapper’s G-Unit Film & Television company.
As part of the deal, 50 Cent will be creating at least three series with the Lionsgate-owned network, on top of a list of off-screen commitments related to his role as executive producer.
In an interview with Variety, 50 Cent said “When I sat down with Chris [Albrecht, Starz CEO] and walked him through my plans for G-Unit Film & Television going forward, he let me know I was essentially requesting the biggest deal in premium cable history,” Jackson said. “I am excited to announce that we’ve made that partnership between myself, G-Unit Film & Television and Starz/Lionsgate and we will continue our proven track record of breaking records and delivering unique content for audiences around the world … Get The Strap.”
There has been no official dollar number amount released by Starz on how much 50 Cent will make in the deal, but 50 Cent did take to Instagram to confirm the details, supporting the rumored USD 150 million.
