How Melissa McCarthy Lost 50 Pounds in Less Than a Year

Date:

Melissa McCarthy lost 50 pounds and here’s how she did it.

You may or may have not noticed this but, Melissa McCarthy is a lot slimmer than she used to be – 50 pounds thinner.

So how did the Atlanta-Filmed The Boss actress lose 50 pounds? During an Extra interview, the Ghostbusters reboot actress revealed her secret to losing weight.

“No trick, nothing to tell, just super boring life,” she said. You bring it real down, you don’t do anything fun and you go to bed at 7:30 — that’s the trick.”

She joked that her husband, Ben Falcone, would question why she was in her pajamas so early. “I’m gonna call them loungewear,” was her go-to response.

Melissa McCarthy has recently launched a fashion line called Seven7, and wore some of recent creations to her movie premieres. “I’m wearing my own clothes every day of my life, which I never thought I would get to say.”

“The Boss,” which is set in Chicago but filmed in Atlanta, is in theaters April 8.
