Job Description

A student-led period bowling short film with an experienced crew is casting featured and supporting roles in Rome, Georgia. The story follows a young athlete facing mounting pressure during a high-stakes competition, forcing him to confront legacy, expectation, and the voice in his own head.

This is a non-union, 3-day shoot offering IMDb credit, meals, and travel expenses.

Roles Casting

George (15–18)

  • African American

  • Athletic presence preferred

  • Strong dramatic ability required

  • Carries the emotional weight of the film

  • Must handle close-up performance and physically active scenes in a bowling alley setting

Young George (7–10)

  • African American

  • Expressive, natural presence

  • Comfortable holding and rolling a bowling ball (supervised)

  • Minimal dialogue, strong visual performance

Mitch (15–18)

  • Any ethnicity

  • Confident, competitive energy

  • Athletic build preferred

  • Strong on-camera presence

Announcer (25–60)

  • Any ethnicity

  • Clear diction

  • Commanding voice

  • On-camera speaking role

Extras Needed

  • Teen bowlers (14–18)

  • Adult spectators

  • Men ages 30–60 (period look required – no modern fades, visible tattoos, or contemporary styling)

Job Responsibilities

  • Portray characters in a period-set bowling competition

  • Participate in physically active bowling scenes (as applicable)

  • Follow on-set direction from the production team

  • Be available for the full 3-day shoot schedule

Requirements

  • Must be able to work in Rome, Georgia

  • Non-union talent

  • Submit headshot, age, location, résumé (if available), and any athletic experience
