Job Description

A SAG low-budget independent film is casting local actors in the Fire Island and Massapequa areas of Long Island, New York. The production is seeking talent for two character roles, including a young woman portraying a 16-year-old Long Island girl and a male actor in his 20s portraying an indie-rock-inspired local character. This opportunity is specifically seeking SAG performers who are local to the filming area.

Job Responsibilities

• Portray the assigned character authentically in an independent film.
• Perform scripted scenes according to the director’s creative vision.
• Take direction and collaborate professionally with the cast and production team.
• Work as a local hire in the Fire Island/Long Island area.

Requirements

• Female Role: Actor must be 18+ and able to portray a 16-year-old girl; white; described as a cool girl from Long Island.
• Male Role: Actor in his 20s; white; seeking an indie-rock, cute-boy look from Long Island.
• Must be a SAG performer.
• Must be local to Fire Island, Massapequa, or the surrounding Long Island area.
• Represented performers should submit through their agent.
• Unrepresented SAG performers may contact the casting team directly.
