Job Description
An independent short film titled Ten Miles is recasting the role of Evie for a non-union production filming in the Hampton Roads, Virginia area. The film is an intimate drama exploring grief, guilt, memory, young love, and the difficult process of moving forward after losing someone. Evie is a woman in her early-to-mid 20s who is warm, emotionally intelligent, playful, and deeply caring. As the emotional heart of the story, her natural openness contrasts with her boyfriend Jacob’s more guarded personality.
Job Responsibilities
- Portray Evie in a dramatic independent short film.
- Deliver both natural romantic moments and emotionally demanding dramatic scenes.
- Perform subtle emotional material with believable chemistry opposite the character Jacob.
- Appear in major sequences including coffee shop, waterfront/pier, picnic, and apartment scenes.
Requirements
- Female actor in her early-to-mid 20s.
- Must be able to play guitar.
- Able to portray a warm, playful, caring, and emotionally intelligent character.
- Must be comfortable performing romantic scenes and establishing believable on-screen chemistry.
- Hampton Roads, Virginia area production.
- Non-union.
