Job Description
An independent dark comedy/drama short film is seeking a dependable, proactive Grip to join a small, focused production team. This non-union crew opportunity is ideal for grips who enjoy hands-on work in character-driven indie films and thrive in organized, collaborative environments. The role plays a key part in maintaining efficient setups and a safe, smooth workflow during interior-heavy scenes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support camera and lighting setups, including stands, modifiers, and basic rigging

  • Assist the Director of Photography and G&E team to keep setups moving efficiently

  • Help maintain a safe, organized set during company moves and resets

  • Contribute positively to a collaborative indie film environment

Requirements

  • Non-union crew members

  • Prior on-set experience as a Grip (student, indie, or short film experience welcome)

  • Comfortable working on a tight, performance-driven production

  • Reliable, punctual, adaptable, and team-oriented
