Job Description
An independent feature film production is seeking an experienced Gaffer to join the crew for an upcoming project filming in London. The Gaffer will be responsible for overseeing the lighting department and ensuring the visual tone of the film is achieved through proper lighting design and execution. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a professional film set and collaborate with a creative production team.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the lighting department on set
• Design and execute lighting setups in collaboration with the Director of Photography
• Ensure all lighting equipment is properly installed, maintained, and operated safely
• Supervise lighting crew and delegate tasks efficiently
• Troubleshoot technical lighting issues during production
• Maintain consistency in lighting throughout filming

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Gaffer on film or television productions
• Strong understanding of lighting techniques and equipment
• Ability to work collaboratively with the cinematography team
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
• Must be based in or able to work in London

Compensation
