Job Description: STARZ, in collaboration with NALIP and NFMLA, is seeking emerging TV writers from underrepresented backgrounds to participate in the third season of the STARZ #TakeTheLead Writers’ Intensive. This program aims to support aspiring writers who want to make their mark in the world of premium cable television. Selected fellows will receive mentorship and guidance from industry professionals, helping them develop their TV writing skills and create compelling spec scripts and episode treatments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in the STARZ #TakeTheLead Writers’ Intensive program, working closely with mentors, executives, and established writers.
- Develop a spec script and an episode treatment under the guidance of industry professionals.
- Engage in workshops and networking opportunities that will further hone your understanding of TV writing.
- Collaborate with other fellows and program mentors to receive constructive feedback and improve your storytelling craft.
Requirements:
- Must be an emerging TV writer from an underrepresented background.
