We are seeking individuals of open gender and ethnicity, aged 20s – 60s, who are fluent in Japanese. This is a fantastic opportunity for those looking to break into the film industry, as well as for seasoned actors seeking new challenges.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in reading and performing roles in Japanese as per the director’s vision.
  • Collaborate with the film’s director and producers to bring characters to life.
  • Attend costume fittings, makeup sessions, and rehearsals as required.
  • Be available for the entire shoot duration on an as-needed basis (1-5 days maximum).

Requirements:

  • Must speak fluent Japanese. Japanese accents are highly encouraged.
  • Open to individuals of any gender and ethnicity, aged 20s – 60s.
  • No prior acting experience is necessary. We welcome both non-actors and actors to apply.
  • Must be available for the shoot dates from May 20th to the beginning of August 2024.

Compensation:

The production seeks authentic performers with musical talent, especially those familiar with punk and heavy metal. Roles are performance-based with no dialogue and will require musical authenticity and physicality. Applicants must be non-union and based in the Greater Toronto Area.
