Experiential Art Director – Jan 2024

An experiential marketing firm in New Haven County, is looking for a solid, hands-on Art Director to join our small, but growing design team. We create brand activations, in-venue experiences, permanent installations and VIP experiences for our group of “household name” clients. This is a highly conceptual role. As many of our events are sports or entertainment related, knowledge of and prior experience with either market is a huge plus. This position requires an individual who is flexible, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment. This role reports directly to the Creative Director and is a fully in-office position.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the creative for one or more projects and follow each project from concept, design, build and installation
- Brainstorm and execute 3D renderings and Photoshop comps for concept explorations
- Effectively communicate your vision/design ideas with the team
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the best final product
The Ideal Candidate
- 4+ years of experiential agency experience, working for national brands, where you ideate the project’s concept – not just executing another team member’s creative
- Killer design skills and a refined and versatile design aesthetic
- Top-Notch Photoshop and Illustrator skills
- Proficiency in Sketchup and rendering software like V-Ray
- Track record of thriving in a fast-paced agency environment
- Embraces a “can-do” attitude
- Must be detail-oriented and have strong time management skills
- Understands and enjoys working in a collaborative team environment
- Completely comfortable with adding and subtracting fractions (for construction of builds)
- Juggle being involved in multiple projects while meeting various deadlines
- Proficient at creating production mechanicals from approved designs
- Comfortable with creative writing and copywriting skills
- Has a general understanding of basic construction

Compensation Details:
