Summary
An integral team member in the MarComm department, the Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, tracking, and optimizing SCT’s integrated messages across all digital channels.
What You Will Do
- Drive SCT’s digital marketing strategy across all channels including web, app, SEO/SEM, database marketing, email, and display advertising.
- Lead the strategy, development, and management of SCT’s digital ecosystem, including all properties, tools, and projects.
- Lead evaluation and implementation of third-party digital tools and features as needed.
- Monitor, track, and generate reporting for sonomacounty.com and the Sonoma County app while providing on-going, proactive insights and optimization opportunities to the MarComm team.
- Measure and report performance of digital marketing efforts against ROI and KPI goals.
- Manage budgets related to digital marketing activities, ensuring projects stay within budget.
- Manage SCT’s third party digital vendors, including negotiation of contracts, day-to-day management, and reporting.
- Manage all inbound website requests, maintain website development schedule, track, and resolve open issues, write detailed project requirements, and conduct all communication with key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize user experience across all digital properties.
- Provide digital project management of all SCT programs and projects.
- Manage all website and app product launches and upgrades.
- Work closely with MarComm team and key vendors to implement and maximize digital components during campaign periods.
- Work in tandem with Content and Social Media Manager to coordinate and optimize editorial and video content publishing efforts, as well as social media efforts.
- Work with PR team to optimize earned media and influencer marketing efforts.
- Liaise with all SCT teams to optimize their respective digital marketing plans.
- Stay current with emerging opportunities in the digital marketing world.
- Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption, where appropriate.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, or related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in digital marketing–experience in Tourism/Hospitality industry preferred, but not required.
- Understanding of digital marketing metrics, evaluations, and best practices.
- Strong project management and budgeting skills.
- Previous experience managing vendors and contractors.
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced marketing environment.
- Experience with WordPress, website and content editing/publishing platforms, Drupal experience a plus.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics and social media reporting tools.
- Possess strong oral and written communication skills.
- Destination marketing, hospitality industry or lifestyle brand marketing a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and provide own transportation.
