An Executive Producer acts as an integral member of the KCD Worldwide Creative Group and its global clients to provide a highly professional and innovative perspective on event execution & client services. This person is an expert in live event production with extensive and impressive know-how in managing all aspects of the event including ideation, experience design, consumer journey, custom fabrication, technical & production management, staffing, live event execution & client management. The Executive Producer has a deep respect and appreciation for big picture ideas and has the experience and sensibility to navigate the process of delivery. An innovative approach to solving production challenges is necessary to execute our complex and original ideas & designs. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a leader to Producers and Coordinators to ensure that their projects are hitting milestones on-time and within assigned budget
  • Align project resources, full-time and freelance, to manifest excellence in the execution of defined project objectives
  • Be an advocate for the client, translating their business needs and interests to the internal team
  • Translate project requirements to internal teams and collaborate with Leadership and Executives to develop proposals, SOWs, or Change Orders (including objectives, approach, estimates, and timelines) as needed
  • Report real-time status to Executive leadership, while anticipating “what’s next”
  • Inspire and challenge the project teams by continually looking for innovative solutions and production methods
  • Able to develop an engagement strategy and work with the project team and discipline leads to execute it, involving people at the optimal levels for project success and overall account utilization (goals, deliverables, schedule, budget, resources)
  • Develop and actively manage all vendors/ freelance talent relationships to ensure the best available talent and pricing for the project.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years producing events and/or live activations including hands-on experience overseeing event content creation, fabrication, interactive development, onsite testing, AV production, projection mapping, etc.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in producing multi-day pop up experiences, live music concerts with top tier talent & touring brand activations.
  • The ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with extensive budgeting and negotiating skills
  • Capacity to instill trust in clients and have strong global relationships with a wide range of fashion industry leaders and peers, as well as high level vendor contacts, and relationships within the events industry
  • Detailed knowledge of vendor pricing for production elements in both large and small scale
  • Possess strong management skills, ability to work in collaborative team environment, actively engage both colleagues and clients in open communication, and ability to lead a team while continually motivating and inspiring innovation
  • Exemplary time management skills, ability to multitask, intelligent analysis of dynamics across variable and concurrent client projects, ability to work well under pressure
  • Strategic and logistical thinker with the ability to approach situations from a solution-based frame of mind
  • Insightful and comprehensive verbal and written communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), creative software of Adobe Creative Suite and working knowledge and/or proficiency of CAD/Vector Worx and or other technical design software

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assistant Videographer/Editor position requires skills in a high-volume production environment specializing in the final storytelling of a project. This position is primarily responsible for assisting in the filming and editing process for company video projects.  This position requires a diverse knowledge of industry standard types of cameras and production equipment along with basic Avid editing skills.  They will work closely with the Producers, Videographers and Editors on staff to ensure projects are completed on time and with the highest technical and aesthetic standards. They are responsible for maintaining the company’s production assets and working with the department production calendar so that equipment is ready for each project.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Support production staff with variety of projects using production gear including various models of cameras, lenses, tripods, and other gear related to shooting.
  • Work with Production team to build sets for production needs.
  • Assist with general duties.
  • Maintaining production equipment before and after projects.
  • Coordinate the tracking of all production assets.
  • Assist with research and ordering of equipment.
  • Support with reporting and tracking maintenance and repairs of production equipment.
  • Ingest media into company’s archiving system and prepare media for Editors.
  • Log footage and edit basic to intermediate level projects.
  • Operate additional cameras as needed for production needs including live events.
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

 

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Degree Required: Minimum college or trade school experience in production or similar field..
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of practical field experience working in multiple aspects of film and video production.
  • Color grading at intermediate level.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

  • Thorough understanding of fishing, hunting, and other outdoor skills as required to best work with production team in outdoor recreation company.
  • Strong work ethic. Outgoing personality with ability to interact within group of creative individuals in a dynamic and constantly changing environment. Willingness to react with short notice to changes in daily routine.
  • Willing to travel as required – often locations require extensive driving and multiple night stays with early and late hours.
  • Strong communication skills – able to understand direction and make themselves understood when communicating objectives for accomplishing story lines or goals of a production.
  • Thorough knowledge of Avid non-linear editing systems, specifically the Avid Media Composer or similar.
  • Strong working knowledge of various codecs, containers and file types used in today’s media environment.
  • Able to work within a team environment including in the field or studio and in the post process, editing and finishing.
  • Able to lift and carry heavy equipment in variety of terrain and conditions from very hot to very cold.
  • Good driving record, able to secure Missouri Operator’s License Class E.
  • Good organizational skills: able to keep multiple projects balanced at any one time
  • Strong video resume required.  This resume should demonstrate samples from all of the areas mentioned above.

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • 25-30%

  • Seldom/never lifts up to 50lbs.
