Vin Diesel confirms ‘Fast and Furious 8’ with a touching story about Paul Walker’s devotion to acting and the franchise.
The past few weeks have been filled with celebrations and sadness for Vin Diesel who is celebrating the success of ‘Furious 7’ while still grieving for the loss of his co-star, the late Paul Walker.
After singing ‘See You Again’ at the 2015 MTV Movie Awards, Vin Diesel confirmed plans for ‘Fast and Furious 7’ with some emotional details about Paul Walker’s devotion to the franchise. When asked about a sequel, Vin Diesel told interviewers:
“Well, I was trying to keep it close to the vest throughout the release. Paul [Walker] used to say that eight was guaranteed. And in some ways, when your brother guarantees something, you sometimes feel like you have to make sure it comes to pass. So if fate has it, fate..F8…if fate has it, then you’ll get this when you hear about it. Seven was for Paul, eight is from Paul.”
It’s great to know that the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise will continue with another movie, but its even better to know that Paul Walker was passionate about doing another movie before his death.
Over the past year, Vin Diesel has dedicated a lot of his time in memory of his “Brother Pablo” telling reporters intimate stories about Paul Walker and how it has impacted his life.
It’s hard to imagine ‘Fast and Furious 8’ without Paul Walker, but if anybody can make it happen, Vin Diesel is the man.
