Scardapane calls this season a “resistance story”, contrasting street-level heroism against oppressive political power. Characters are divided between Murdock’s resistance and Fisk’s authoritarian regime. Season 2 also expands on events from Echo and The Defenders, while being careful not to alienate new viewers.
