Date:

David Beckham is planning a career as an actor and he is ready for the haters.

David Beckham has revealed that he is planning to launch a career as an actor.

The soccer star and part time model has recently caught the acting bug after appearing in the upcoming feature film King Arthur as Blackleg and now he wants to audition for more roles.

David Beckham claimed he hoped to make the transition to acting even though many other celebrities have failed in the past.

He told The Times: ‘I am very aware that many sportsmen and other celebrities have turned their hand to acting – and failed.

‘I know it is a tough profession, where you need a huge amount of skill and discipline. I wouldn’t want to push myself forward too soon, without learning more about it, and doing a lot more practice.

‘But what I have done so far, I have loved. I can deal with most things. I am a well-known person, so I have got used to criticism.’

He told the paper that he wants to “build up” his experience and “see where it takes him”.

So far on David Beckham’s acting resume, Beckham has had a brief cameo on the box office bomb The Man from U.N.C.L.E.

But, David Beckham has a good chance at making it in the film industry. According to a recent report, casting directors and talent agencies are more interested in Twitter and Instagram followers than actual acting talent because, of all of the free promotion the production gets by hiring a Instagram famous actor.

We will have to see if Hollywood will bend it like Beckham.
