Samuel L. Jackson teases The Hateful Eight with a leaked photo
If you were not excited about The Hateful Eightbefore, then here is an image or two that will increase your anticipation for Quentin Tarantino’s last movie.
Samuel L. Jackson, one of the movie’s leading actors, has recently released a couple of behind the scenes images from the cast’s rehearsal for the movie onto Twitter – and well, it’s all looking pretty awesome.
The only problem is that is pretty hard to make out who everyone is. So keep scrolling down for us to identify the cast and crew.
So the photo includes Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Dern, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Quentin Tarantino, Kurt Russell, Walton Goggins, Michael Madsen, Tim Roth, and Demian Bichir. The only person that is missing is Channing Tatum.
Do you remember the 2008 Angelina Jolie action thriller Wanted? The movie that featured bullet-bending and teaching the world that anyone can transition from a cubicle worker to a ruthless assassin? Well, if you were a fan of the original, producers are ramping production for a sequel, Wanted 2.
But, it begs the question, in Wanted, all of the members of the Fraternity Wesley died at the end of the movie, who will the movie feature? Didn’t Fox, Angelina’s character, kill off the entire Fraternity, and herself? And then, later, Wesley kills Sloan, the misguided leader of the Fraternity, played by Morgan Freeman.
So what will happen? With two major actors removed from the movie, what will happen in the sequel. The movie’s original producer revealed that a sequel was never a plan.
“We have a script that’s getting pretty good,” Platt explained. “To do a sequel when it wasn’t really set up for a sequel-one of our main characters dies in it. You don’t want to just retread a similar story, but when we get the script to a certain bar, there will be a sequel. It’s taken a while because it’s challenging, as I said, because we lost a main, main character, so where that James McAvoy character goes now… we have good ideas though. It’s coming along”
That sounds pretty vague, but it looks like it may be interesting.
Mark Millar, the creator of the comic that the movie is loosely based around, influenced the first movie’s script’s tone and overall feel. He is attached to the second movie as well, but in a limited capacity. According to Chris Platt, he won’t be in charge of the script-writing process but will have input.
He’s always going to be involved but he’s not going to write the screenplay which is far along,” he explained. “As I said, but he’s always going to be involved because the tone he puts forth is so much his tone and I think the film captured the dark humor of his really well.”
Many people were upset with Millar for selling the comic book rights to a movie studio instead of demanding more creative control. Because, the movie may have been more different if it had fallen more in line with the comics. For example, Milllar wanted Eminem to play the lead role in the movie along side, Halle Berry instead of Angelina Jolie.
How excited are you for ‘Wanted 2’? Do you plan on watching the movie? Share with us your thoughts in the comments.
Johnny Depp says not caring about acting his acting has made him a better actor.
Johnny Depp won the Golden Globe Award and Screen Actors Guild award for Best Actor. He rose to prominence on the 1980s television series 21 Jump Street, becoming a teen idol.
Johnny Depp is regarded as one of the world’s biggest movie stars. He gained superstar status for his famous portrayals of such people as Ed Wood in Ed Wood, Joseph D. Pistone in Donnie Brasco, Hunter S. Thompson in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, George Jung in Blow, Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean, J.M. Barrie in Finding Neverland, and the Depression Era outlaw John Dillinger in Michael Mann’s Public Enemies.
In addition, Johnny Depp’s movies have been commercially successful movies. Pirates of the Caribbean films, which have grossed $3 billion; Alice in Wonderland which grossed $1 billion; Charlie and the Chocolate Factory which grossed $474 million; and The Tourist which grossed $278 million worldwide.
But, Johnny Depp is perfectly happy if his movie choices don’t please everyone. Johnny Depp told Detailsthat he admires his late friend Marlon Brando for eventually deciding he “just didn’t give a f*ck.” However, this way of thinking was not very easy for the actor.
“First, I reached a point where I cared so much and was so diligent in terms of approaching the work,” Depp said. “Then, you get to where you care so f—ing much that it gets goddamn beleaguering, you know?”
Johnny Depp’s last role was earlier this year in the box office disaster, Transcendence.Transcendence was a disappointment at the box office, grossing only slightly more than its $100 million budget. The film received mainly negative reviews; it was criticized for its plot structure, characters and dialogue.
Johnny Depp has managed to “are enough to not give a f—, because not giving a f—, that’s the total liberation. Being game to try anything.”
Depp revealed that “it’s like being a dog at the track” when movie studios expect his movies to make as much money as 2003’s Pirates of the Caribbean.
“They expect you to live up to some race you happened to be in and won accidentally,” he said. “From that first second, you’re nothing more than a commodity. They have expectations of another Pirates.”
He revealed that although it is exciting when a film is a major hit, it is ugly to make that movie its only goal.
Johnny Depp has several major films coming soon including the Big Bad Wolf in fairy-tale adaptation Into The Woods, Mortedecai where Depp plays an adventurous art dealer and a notorious Boston gangster Whitey Bulger in Black Mass.

‘Midnight Rider’ director, producer want to drop charges from their criminal case.
According to reports, Midnight Rider‘s director and producer are still trying to escape their criminal charges for the accident that killed camera assistant Sarah Jones.
Randall Miller and Jody Savin today asked a Georgia court to dismiss them and their business entities from a cross-claim by CSX, whose remaining involvement in the ongoing civil suit filed by Jones’ family has kept the filmmakers tethered to the wrongful death case. [via]
CSX accused Miller, Savin, Unclaimed Freight Production, and Film Allman, LLC in September of intentional trespassing leading up to the February 20 death of Sarah Jones. Jones died and several other crew members were injured when a freight train collided into a hospital bed and equipment that the Midnight Ridercrew had placed on CSX-owned tracks.
Ultimately, the Director and producer of Midnight Rider are arguing that the criminal trespass charges will not be fair.
They’re also concerned that having to answer to the CSX cross-claim in court as part of the wrongful death civil suit will unfairly prejudice a jury that, in Georgia, could assign fault to any party or non-parties deemed responsible in Jones’ death. And with a parallel criminal case carrying a potential 10 years in prison to contend with, the filmmakers say the ongoing CSX claim unfairly jeopardizes their constitutional rights. [via]
Currently, Miller and Savin, along with unit production manager/executive producer Jay Sedrish and 1st assistant director Hilary Schwartz, each face criminal charges of involuntary manslaughter and criminal trespass in a separate criminal case set for trial in March.

Mockingjay director reveals that he plans on making more Hunger Games sequels.
Currently there is only one feature film left in the Hunger Games franchise, but in a new interview, Francis Lawrence, the director of the final two movies, discusses the plan for more movies.
MTV recently asked Lawrence whether he, Lionsgate, or Suzanne Collins were discussing any sequels after The Hunger Games: Mockinjay Part2. He replied by saying “Everybody is thinking about it, and talking about it.”
“I just think that one has to go into that world carefully. Because I think a huge part of what makes the stories great is that it was really built on this idea of the consequence of war, and you have an amazing character like Katniss at the center of it,” Lawrence said. “And so to just say, ‘Oh, we’re still in the Hunger Games world’ I think is really risky, and you need to make sure that you have something new to say, and either new characters need to be created that are just as compelling as Katniss.” (Either…or what? Finish that thought, Francis Lawrence! More Katniss?)
“It’s a tricky thing, but I’m definitely open to talking about it, and I think everybody’s thinking about it,” continued the Mockingjay director. “Everybody loves the world and the ideas.” [via]
Harry Potter and Twilight are both findign ways to expand their franchises. So, the possibility for a Hunger Games sequel beyond The Mockingjay Part 2 is not hard to believe. But, what would the new Hunger Games sequel feature? New characters? A prequel to The Hunger Games?
Let us know your Hunger Games spin-off ideas in the comments below!

Robert Kirkman, the executive producer behind The Walking Dead reveals his biggest regret.
Robert Kirkman is listed as The Hollywood Reporter’s most powerful comic writers in the world but, the executive producer behind the most-watched show on television revealed that he has a huge regret.
“If I had to do it again, I wouldn’t have done the CDC episode [at the end of season one],” Kirkman told THR of the episode in which CDC doc Edwin Jenner (Noah Emmerich) reveals to Rick (Andrew Lincoln) that everyone is already infected.
You heard right, Robert Kirkman revealed that he hated the CDC episode. In the episode, the crew travel to the CDC, the Center of Diesease Control to see if there is a cure to the zombie apocalypse. Unfortunately for the gang, many of the CDC workers left to be with their families. When the Military protection of the CDC was overrun, many of the remaining doctors ran away. The remaining doctors at the CDC eventually committed suicide until only a handful of scientists remained. The gang meets Dr. Candace Jenner. Dr. Jenner was a scientists working with samples in order to find a cure. After constantly searching for a cure. Dr. Jenner reveals his findings about the disease and explains that everyone is infected. At the end of the episode, Dr. Jenner blows the entire facility up.
Robert Kirkman revealed that the scene was a huge mistake because “”It possibly gave away too much information and was such a big change very early on in the series,” Kirkman said.
According to the comics, Rick and the crew learn that everyone is infected after Tyreese’s daughter, Julie, is killed in what was supposed to be a joint suicide agreement with her boyfriend Chris.
I feel like there might have been a better way to wrap up the first season,” Kirkman says of AMC’s season-one finale. “It ended up being a fun episode. I love the character of Dr. Jenner and thought Noah did an amazing job. But there were things in that episode that I think seem very much not of The Walking Dead world.”
Another issue with the episode that Robert Kirkman revealed was revealing that the French could have a cure to the disease.
“I probably would have changed that stuff,” he says. “I’ve been careful in the comic series to not say what’s happening in other parts of the world. It’s something that’s going to be fun to explore in the spinoff series. But the fact that France is mentioned in that episode and other things like that, I probably would have steered away from that stuff if I had to do it all over again.” [via]
As for the Walking Dead companion series, several casting calls were released for leading roles in the production but, other than that little is known. Rumors speculate that this is going to be prequel and center around the early days of the outbreak in other parts of the world. Casting is underway for the pilot, which AMC plans to premiere in 2015.
The producer behind The Walking Dead is currently changing the comic-book storyline. One of the biggest changes is Norman Reedus’ character, Daryl Dixon who is not in the comics at all.
Kirkman argues that Daryl stands out as one of the best changes to The Walking Dead storyline. In addition, Robert Kirkman explained that he loves Melissa McBride’s acting for bring Carol to life on the TV series.
“Carol was extremely different in the comic and I was attempting to tell a completely different story with that character than what we ended up doing on the show,” he says. “Carol in the comic and Carol on the show couldn’t be more different. I’m really proud of the evolution that that character has gone through. It’s one of the best parts of the show. Melissa McBride’s performance is absolutely amazing. More than any other character, Carol has evolved in leaps and bounds. You go back to the first season and it’s almost like a different actress is playing that character because she’s so different. It’s been a really remarkable transformation in a show about transformation. That’s been a great and welcome change.” [via]
The Walking Dead’s midseason finale is expected to air on Sunday at 9 p.m. Filming has just completed in Atlanta, Georgia with production expected to return in 2015. If you are interested in learning how to become a zombie on The Walking Dead, check out our guide here.

ABC’s Selfie is moving to Hulu. The comedy’s final six unaired episodes will stream on Hulu, according to the show’s creator and showrunner Emily Kapnek.
Jaguar PS / Shutterstock.com
ABC canceled the Warner Bros. Television comedy starring Karen Gillan and John Cho in November, with its seventh and last episode airing on November 11th.
Kapnek noted on Twitter that the first of the six unaired will be released Tuesday on hulu, Hulu Plus and ABC.com, with the remaining episodes released one at a time every week for the next five weeks.
Selfie was part of an hour long block of romantic comedies on ABC. Both TV series ended up getting canceled. Manhattan Love Story was the other and was the first TV show canceled this year. The series premiered opened to a 5.3 million viewers and over time the number of viewers continued to decrease.
This is not the first time that a canceled ABC show found a new home on Hulu. Hulu picked up the remaining episodes of James Van Der Beek’s TV series Apartment 23 in April 2013.

Redbox is raising all of their prices for movies and games in the next few weeks.
Movie and Game rental service Redbox has announced that they ar arising prices for games, DVDs, and Blu-Ray discs in the US. Under the new pricing standards, the cost of DVDs will go up by 30 cents to $1.50, Blu-Rays will increase another 50 cents at $2, and games rental prices will go up a full dollar to $3.
Most of the price changes will take effect on December 2, 2014 but, the game price increase will not happen until January 6, 2015. Redbox isn’t staying away from the fact that the number of rentals will probably decrease due to the increase in costs. But, Redbox argues that the higher profits per rental along with some behind-the-scenes cost cutting will help it “offset future declines in the physical rental market.”
The company also points that actual costs may increase, decrease, or stay the same depending upon the location. So customers should pay attention to their local pricing or check out the Redbox app or website. Both Netflix and Amazon recently raised their prices in the past year, which shows that rise of inflation in streaming and DVD rentals.
