NYPD officers harass and throw a man to the ground for taking part in Ellen’s ‘Dance Dare’
Alexander Bok, a New York performer and part-time prankster, was shooting a “Dance Dare” video to submit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show, when he danced nearby a group of NYPD officers. Then things got ugly.
https://youtu.be/zFJnr1_bjSM
As you can see in the video below, seconds after dancing, police officers quickly swarmed around him and began harassing the prankster. “Are you f*cking kidding me?” and “What’s wrong with you?” and “Are you a f*cking asshole?” were among the taunts launched into BOK’s face during the altercation. Eventually, BOK was told to “take a f*cking walk” and shoved to the ground.
Here’s a clip of Taylor Swift and Zac Efron taking part in Ellen’s “Dance Dare.” As you can see, the act of dancing in public may just get you shot by the police.

Acting can bring out emotions which can negatively affect their lives. Here are 5 common mental illnesses many actors face.
According to the National Institute of Mental Health, mental disorders are extremely common in the US and affect tens of millions of people each year, of which only a few people actually receives treatment.
Acting brings out realistic emotions to performances and is typically done by drawing on personal experience. Raymond Hamden, doctor of Clinical and Forensic Psychology, defines the purpose of method acting as “compartmentalizing their own feelings while playing another character [so] they could bring the emotions of that personal feeling to cry if they needed to with that character.”
However, when these emotions are not separated, they can effect and impact on other facets of life, often seeming to disrupt the actor’s psyche. This occurs as the actor delves into previous emotional experiences, be they joyful or traumatic.
The psychological effects of method acting vary in intensity from individual to individual. Some common effects include;
Fatigue
Fear
Anxiety
Shame
Sleep deprivation
Personality changes
Psychotic disorders.
But, here are the most common mental illnesses actors face on a daily basis:
Depression
Everyone occasionally feels blue or sad. But these feelings are usually short-lived and pass within a couple of days. When you have depression, it interferes with daily life and causes pain for both you and those who care about you. Depression is a common but serious illness. [NIMH]
With constant rejection, heartbreaking roles, it is no wonder many actors face depression. Jim Carrey revealed he took the medication Prozac for many years for his battle with depression. Depression was a constant battle for Carrey who is now off medication and uses his spirituality to stay mentally healthy. Talk to your doctor about possible treatment options for depression.
Bipolar Disorder
Joe Seer / Shutterstock.com
Numerous articles have been written, linking bipolar mood disorder with artistry. In 2008, a study at the Stanford University School of Medicine found that those with the condition expressed “enhanced creativity,” but recommended more research to determine why.
Bipolar disorder, also known as manic-depressive illness, is a brain disorder that causes unusual shifts in mood, energy, activity levels, and the ability to carry out day-to-day tasks. Symptoms of bipolar disorder are severe. They are different from the normal ups and downs that everyone goes through from time to time. Bipolar disorder symptoms can result in damaged relationships, poor job or school performance, and even suicide. But bipolar disorder can be treated, and people with this illness can lead full and productive lives. [NIMH]
In 2013, Catherine Zeta-Jones completed treatment for Bipolar disorder. The actress “proactively” checked herself into a mental health facility for a 30-day program, but she’s now back at home, according to her husband, Michael Douglas. “It’s not easy. I’m not the kind of person who likes to shout out my personal issues from the rooftops, but with my bipolar becoming public, I hope fellow sufferers will know it’s completely controllable,” Zeta-Jones told InStyle magazine in its December 2012 issue. “I hope I can help remove any stigma attached to it, and that those who don’t have it under control will seek help with all that is available to treat it.”
Other actors facing Bipolar Disorder include Jean-Claude Van Damme, Mel Gibson, and Russell Brand.
Schizophrenia
Schizophrenia is a chronic, severe, and disabling brain disorder that has affected people throughout history. People with the disorder may hear voices other people don’t hear. They may believe other people are reading their minds, controlling their thoughts, or plotting to harm them. This can terrify people with the illness and make them withdrawn or extremely agitated.
People with schizophrenia may not make sense when they talk. They may sit for hours without moving or talking. Sometimes people with schizophrenia seem perfectly fine until they talk about what they are really thinking. [NIMH]
Veronica Lake was a famous Hollywood actress of the 1940s was known for her performances in movies, television, as well as on stage. She is widely remembered for her role in Sullivan’s Travels and her roles with Alan Ladd during the 1940s. Her career flourished early on, but experienced a decline as a result of alcoholism and mental illness. She had a troubled childhood and according to her mother, was diagnosed with schizophrenia.
ADHD
Andrey Bayda / Shutterstock.com
Do you find it difficult to memorize lines? You may be facing Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common childhood disorders and can continue through adolescence and adulthood. Symptoms include difficulty staying focused and paying attention, difficulty controlling behavior, and hyperactivity (over-activity). [NIMH]
About 60% of children diagnosed with ADHD will continue to experience these symptoms well into adulthood. And some people with the disorder don’t receive an official diagnosis until middle age. Playing pint-size Peter on the original Brady Bunch television series, Knight, 56, had a hard time learning his lines. Finally, in 1997, he was diagnosed with ADHD. He sought treatment to help manage his condition and served as a spokesperson for the National Consumer League’s AD/HD campaign.
The two-time Oscar nominee told Rolling Stone that as a child he was “the fun one who had trouble paying attention… I was a ‘B’ student who should’ve been getting A’s… Today they’d diagnose me as a child with ADHD.” Even if that was the case, he hasn’t let his focus issues interfere with his life. In addition to being extremely successful as an actor, rapper and producer, he’s also a devoted family man with three children, including Jaden andWillow Smith, who act and rap, just like their dad.
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
cinemafestival / Shutterstock.com
Everyone double checks things sometimes. For example, you might double check to make sure the stove or iron is turned off before leaving the house. But people with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) feel the need to check things repeatedly, or have certain thoughts or perform routines and rituals over and over. The thoughts and rituals associated with OCD cause distress and get in the way of daily life.
The frequent upsetting thoughts are called obsessions. To try to control them, a person will feel an overwhelming urge to repeat certain rituals or behaviors called compulsions. People with OCD can’t control these obsessions and compulsions. Most of the time, the rituals end up controlling them. [NIMH]
Charlize Theron recently admitted to suffering from obsessive-compulsive disorder or OCD. “I have OCD, which is not fun,” she told Australian radio show Kyle and Jackie O. “I have to be incredibly tidy and organized or it messes with my mind and switches off on me.”

Facebook is sorry of making users relieve horrible life events in their Year in Review.
Facebook is sorry for your “Year in Review” posts. One user complained after the new featured focused on a photo of his daughter who died earlier this year. Ultimately, it looks like Facebook’s new year-end feature didn’t work out as planned.
Facebook has apologized after at least one person complained that its automatically generated “Year in Review” posts brought up bad experiences and horrific memories. Facebook essentially compiled photos from 2014 and adds the caption, “It’s been a great year! Thanks for being a part of it.”
Eric Meyer a web designer and writer lost his 6-year-old daughter on her birthday in June. When he went online recent, Facebook’s invite to “See Your Year” featured a photo of her smiling face.
“I didn’t go looking for grief this afternoon, but it found me anyway, and I have designers and programmers to thank for it. In this case, the designers and programmers are somewhere at Facebook.”
“To show me Rebecca’s face and say ‘Here’s what your year looked like!’ is jarring. It feels wrong, and coming from an actual person, it would be wrong,” he said.
The Facebook product manager for “Year in Review,” Jonathan Gheller, has apologized, telling the Post the app “was awesome for a lot of people, but clearly in this case we brought [Meyer] grief rather than joy.
“We can do better – I’m very grateful he took the time in his grief to write the blog post,” Gheller said.
Meyers pointed out that Facebook does not provide a way for users to opt out of the feature.
“The design is for the ideal user, the happy, upbeat, good-life user. It doesn’t take other use cases into account,” he said.

The Interview made $15 million dollars over the Christmas weekend.
Despite the mishandling of the release,The Interview has been able to make over $15 million in online sales in less than five days, plus an additional $3 million more in theaters. According to Sony, the movie was “rented or purchased online more than 2 million times” between Wednesday and Satruday, making it one of the most successful straight to Video On Demand releases of all time.
However, The Interview has not made a profit. The movie cost $80 million to make The Interview a huge failure for Sony.
“We worked hard to get the film out there by Christmas day,” Rory Bruer, Sony Pictures president of worldwide distribution, told Variety. “It was such a whirlwind to get it done that it kind of amazes me that we were able to make it happen.”
Of course it was chaos because Sony, concerned about threats from hackers, pulled the movie from theaters. However, they were still managed to make $15 million only, 65 million dollars left to go…

Fans of the spy franchise, Jack Ryan, may never see Chris Pine reprise the action hero role again.
Jack Ryan maybe able to save the world from psychotic terrorist assassins but, following the release earlier this year, it will be hard for any secret agent to save the day.
Chris Pine was recently interviewed by Moviefone, during the interive he was asked if there would be a sequel to Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, which opened earlier this year on January 15th to $15.4 million.
“No, I don’t think it made enough money for that to happen,” Pine said about a possible sequel. “That’s one of my deep regrets, that we didn’t totally get that right.”
Chris Pine added that he still respects the franchise and wouldn’t mind if anyone else took over the role. Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford and Ben Affleck have previously played the spy.
“It’s a great franchise, and if it’s not me, then I hope it gets a fifth life at this point,” continued Pine, who can currently be seen in Into the Woods. “It’s just great. I love the spy genre. I hope it’s done again and with a great story.”
Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit was directed by and co-starring Kenneth Branagh. Chris Pine, Kevin Costner and Keira Knightley starred in leading roles. Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit centered around Jack Ryan, as a young covert CIA analyst, uncovers a Russian plot to crash the U.S. economy with a terrorist attack.

Want a role on Orange is the New Black? Learn how to audition for a role on Orange is The New Black
Orange Is the New Black is a comedy-drama series created by Jenji Kohan and first released on Netflix on July 2013. The series, produced by Tilted Productions in association with Lionsgate Television, is based on Piper Kerman’s memoir, Orange Is the New Black: My Year in a Women’s Prison, about her experiences in prison. The second season premiered on June 2014 and the series has been renewed for a third season. Few months later, the series received 12 Primetime Emmy Award nominations.
Orange Is the New Blackcenters around Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling), a bisexual woman living in New York City who is sentenced to 15 months in a women’s federal prison, for transporting a suitcase full of drug money to her former girlfriend Alex Vause (Laura Prepon) who is an international drug smuggler/mule. The offense occurred ten years prior to the start of the series, and in that time Piper had moved on to a quiet, law-abiding life among New York’s upper middle class. In prison, Piper is reunited with Alex (who named Piper in her trial resulting in her arrest), and they re-examine their relationship and deal with their fellow prisoners.
Orange Is the New Black has received critical acclaim. For Season 1, Metacritic gives a score of 79/100 based on reviews from 31 critics, indicating generally favorable reviews.Rotten Tomatoes gives a score of 93%, with an average rating of 8.2/10 based on 40 reviews. The site’s consensus is “Orange Is the New Black is a sharp mix of black humor and dramatic heft, with interesting characters and an intriguing flashback structure.”
The second season of the show was also received with critical acclaim. Rotten Tomatoes gives a score of 97%, with an average rating of 9.1/10 based on 35 reviews. Metacritic gave the second season a score of 89 out of 100 based on 30 critics, indicating “universal acclaim”. David Wiegland of the San Francisco Chronicle gave the season a positive review, calling the first six episodes “not only as great as the first season, but arguably better.”
According to IMDB, Jennifer Euston is the casting director behind Orange is the New Black, and has worked on several major motion pictures including Bachelorette, The Campaign, and The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard.
Euston was recently interviewed by Cosmopolitan about being a casting director:
How do you keep track of so many actors? Do you watch a ton of TV, or do you have a mental Rolodex?
It’s my brain. I know it sounds strange, but I’ve been tracking actors since I was so young. I would fall in love with people like Jim Carrey. I saw him in Once Bitten and In Living Color and was obsessed with him. By the time I got to college, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective came out and all my friends called me. They were like, “That guy that you always talked about is in the biggest movie of the weekend.” I’m like, “I know.” I had that happen a lot growing up, because I’d be like, “This person is not famous, but there’s something there.” And then I was able to transition that into a career, which isn’t very common.
When you’re casting for a TV show or movie, do you ever have to think about how many viewers that person will draw?
I hate casting someone in a part just because they’re a star, and I try to avoid it at all costs. If they’re a star and they’re right for the part, that’s one thing. If you’re just hiring them because they bring money or viewers or whatever, that’s really hard for me to come to terms with because, for me, that’s not a creative thing, it’s more about the bottom line.
I’ve been so lucky with both Girls and Orange Is the New Black because we cast the best people for the part. That’s what attracted me to the jobs, because they told me, “We don’t need any names for this.” If I get approached by a project and they’re like, “Well, we need names,” I’m like, “You probably need to find someone else, because I’m not going to be your girl and I’ll be resentful and you don’t want that.”
Euston writes on her Twitter account that actors should submit to her by e-mailing your headshot and resume to: je.submissions@gmail.com. Don’t forget to follow her on twitter @jeneuston.

The quest for the future of computing continues. AMC is bringing Halt And Catch Fire back for a second season. “This is a show about invention, experimentation, and the inherent risks in trying to break new ground – themes that really resonate with us as a network and attracted a passionate audience,” said Charlie Collier, AMC president today. “We have a history of demonstrating patience through the early seasons of new shows, betting on talent and building audience over time. We see that opportunity here and look forward to a second season of ‘Halt and Catch Fire’ from creators Chris Cantwell and Chris Rogers, and showrunner Jonathan Lisco.” Season 2 of H&CF is set to premiere in the summer of 2015.
The series has received generally positive reviews from critics and has a Metacritic rating of 69 out of 100, based on 30 reviews. Review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes reports a 78% “certified fresh” rating for the first season, based on 40 critics, with the consensus: “A refreshingly well-acted period drama, Halt and Catch Fire convincingly portrays the not-too-distant past.” Matthew Gilbert of The Boston Globe expressed promise after the series premiere, writing “it’s easy to see why the network chose it. Set in Dallas in 1983, it has a distinctive visual style—something AMC, with the cinematic Breaking Bad and the elegant Mad Men, wants to make part of its brand identity”. Speaking of the show’s dynamic characters, Gilbert added, “Gordon is the Steve Wozniak to Joe’s Steve Jobs, in a way. Add to that dynamic immature 22-year-old coding expert Cameron Howe (Mackenzie Davis)…and you’ve got a chemical mixture on the verge of exploding”

‘The Interview’ makes $1 million at the box office.
According to CNNMoney, ‘The Interview’ made $1 million at the box office on Christmas Day, and it could make a couple million more over the Holiday weekend.
“The audience reaction was fantastic — the limited release, in under 10% of the amount of theaters originally planned, featured numerous sellouts and a first-day gross over $1 million,” Sony Pictures worldwide distribution president Rory Bruer said in a statement.
Bruer nodded to the “incredibly challenging circumstances” around the release and said “we are extremely grateful to the people all over the country who came out to experience ‘The Interview’ on the first day” it was in theaters.
The Seth Rogen comedy could even make a lot more money online, through online movie rentals and future sales to streaming sites such as Netflix. The results of Wednesday’s online release are not yet public, but if one million people rented it through YouTube, the once unproduced production could have made a whopping $6 million. The movie is currently available on Google Play, Microsoft’s Xbox video store and a special Sony website called SeeTheInterview.com
Sony Picture’s botched release of The Interview could make the change in the movie industry as more movie studios transition from box office only releases to streaming releases. According to reports, The Interview is the most popular video on YouTube.
Sony Pictures Entertainment’s “The Interview” went from being just another mediocre comedy to being the most talked-about movie of 2014, and it’s all thanks to hackers’ efforts to prevent the movie’s release. The massive Sony hack has been front page news for the past few weeks, and the story was particularly interesting because it appeared as though the attack was perpetrated by hackers with ties to North Korea.
That conclusion is now in question despite the fact that the FBI and President Obama have publicly pinned the cyberattack on North Korea, but the hackers had still demanded that The Interview be shelved if Sony hoped to prevent further data from being released. After initially caving, Sony decided to go ahead with the movie’s release anyway — and now it looks like the Sony hackers’ worst nightmare has come true.
Here’s a list of the most popular videos on YouTube right now, along with view counts and ages where available:
The Interview – 2 days old
Sweet Hat Bro – 300,295 views, 1 day old
rock singing – 1,273,976 views, 1 days old
Seth Rogen at “Interview” opening at Cinefamily – 69,063 views, 20 hours old
Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg Introduce “The Interview” – 69,399 views, 1 day old

Want a role on Two and a Half Men? Learn how to audition for a role on the hit TV series Two and a Half Men.
Two and a Half Men is a sitcom that first aired on CBS on 2003. The hit TV series featured Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones, and the shows followed, Charlie Harper, his uptight brother Alan, and Alan’s growing son Jake. After Alan divorces, he moves with his son to share Charlie’s beach-front Malibu house and complicate Charlie’s crazy life.
But, on February 24, 2011, CBS and Warner Bros. decided to end production for the rest of the eighth season after Sheen entered drug rehabilitation and made “disparaging comments” about the show’s creator and executive producer Chuck Lorre. Sheen’s contract was terminated on March 7.
The ninth-season premiere, “Nice to Meet You, Walden Schmidt”, killed off Sheen’s character and introduced Ashton Kutcher as Walden Schmidt, his replacement. Alan is shown moving on with his life after the death of Charlie. He has a new best friend and housemate, Walden, who is dealing with his own troubles following a bad divorce. Walden, Alan, and Jake eventually bond, becoming close friends and forming a surrogate family unit. Jake, who joins the army at the end of season nine, leaves for Japan at the end of season ten.
On 2013, CBS renewed the series for an 11th season after closing one-year deals with Kutcher and Cryer. Jones, who is attending college, was relegated to recurring status for Season 11, but eventually departed from the show without making a single appearance in Season 11. He was replaced by Jenny (portrayed by Amber Tamblyn), Charlie’s previously unknown daughter. On March 2014, CBS renewed the series for a 12th season, which CBS subsequently announced would be the final season. The season premiered on October 30, 2014. The series is set to conclude on February 19, 2015.

Sony Pictures’ The Interview’ is currently being discussed by Russian government officials and the possibly banning the movie from hitting theaters.
The Sony Pictures’ assassination thriller, The Interview is now making news in Russia. According to reports, a Russian cultural offical spoke out against the release of The Interview in Russia, while North Korea’s embassy in Moscow issued a statement calling for all Russians to boycott the feature film. Reports also suggest that the decision about a release of the film in Russia will come in 2015. However, the movie is currently available on Russian torrent websites.
“We need to keep in mind that we have certain historic relations with [North Korea],”Mikhail Shvydkoy, President Vladimir Putin‘s special envoy for international cultural cooperation, was quoted as saying by news agency Interfax. “And, what is most important, we don’t have a tradition of insulting another country’s president.”
North Korea’s embassy in Moscow also issued a statement. “The film The Interview, produced by the U.S. studio Sony Pictures, is a very dangerous film product that justifies and promotes terrorism. This film is also filled with anti-propaganda of low and evil tools for assaulting the head of a merited sovereign state,” said the statement quoted by Interfax.
If you live in Russia, you can watch The Interview on several Russian torrent websites. Meanwhile, legitimate Russian online video services are extremely interested in offering the movie to their audiences, but Sony Pictures have not come to agreement.

AMC’s The Walking Dead: Cobalt has cast it’s female co-star
AMC’s The Walking Dead companion series has found its female lead. After an extensive casting search, several scams, and very few spoilers, casting directors have cast Gone Girl and Sons of Anarchy alum, Kim Dickens to co-star in the prequel series from Walking Deadcreator Robert Kirkman and showrunenr Dave Erickson, The Hollywood Reporter reporter.
The project, also known as Cobalt, takes place in Los Angeles at the dawn of the zombie apocalypse. Kirkman’s graphic novels, upon which The Walking Dead series is based, have never explored the origins of the zombie apocalypse.
Cliff Curtis (Gang Related) stars as Sean Cabrera. Curtis plays a teacher who shares a son with his ex-wife, Andrea. The character is described as a good man trying to do right by everyone in his life. Dickens will play the role of Nancy Tomkins, a guidance counselor who works with and is dating Sean. Nancy has two kids but it’s unclear what happened to her husband. She has a troubled past that will come up later in the series.
Frank Dillane (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince) co-stars as Nancy’s son Nick, who has battled a drug problem, and Alycia Debnam Carey (Into the Woods) is set as Nancy’s ambitious daughter Ashley, who is the polar opposite of Nick and has dreams of leaving L.A. for Berkeley when the apocalypse strikes.
