The Originals Season 2 casting call for vikings in Atlanta, Georgia.

Casting directors are looking for men and women to play Vikings on a flashback scene filming in Atlanta, Georgia. Producers are looking for men with facial hair, long beards, and long hair. Women should have natural hair that is shoulder length or longer.

The Originals Season Two finds our heroes adjusting to a new status quo, with the very newly empowered werewolves controlling the city, Klaus struggling to adjust to new weaknesses, and Elijah is desperate to save Hayley, now a hybrid, from a vicious spiral of self-destruction.

Man Dies on Set of Martin Scorsese’s ‘Silence’

Crew member dies on set of Martin Scorsese’s ‘Silence’

One person has died during preproduction on set of the Martin Scorsese-directed Silence. Two other crew members were injured when a ceiling collapsed. The accident occcurred on the backlot in Tawain CMPC Studios.

From The Hollywood Reporter:

THR contacted CMPC Studios, their statement on the accident said:

“Our studio was rented for the use of a production team. The production team has hired contractors to build sets, and the construction has led to an accident, injuring the contractors. The production team immediately reported the accident to the emergency services, while our company also gave assistance. Our company and the production team had reached an agreement for the production team to be held responsible for the health and safety of the personnel of the studio and the set.”

Filming on Silence was slated to start on Jan. 30 and it is not yet known whether the accident will affect the beginning of the shoot.

Silence which is to star Liam Neeson, Andrew Garfield and Adam Driver, is an adaptation of a Shusako Endo novel. The movie centers around  the seventeenth century where two Jesuit priests face violence and persecution when they travel to Japan to locate their mentor and to spread the gospel of Christianity.

Disney is Looking at Chris Pratt For Indiana Jones Reboot

Disney is looking into casting Chris Pratt for the new Indiana Jones movie.

Deadline is reporting that Disney is looking at Chris Pratt to take over the iconic Indiana Jones role in a possible reboot of the series.

Pratt jumped to leading-man movie status with his performance in last year’s blockbuster Guardians Of The Galaxy for Marvel and Disney. He starts The Magnificent Seven with Denzel Washington and director Antoine Fuqua in April for MGM and Sony, and there’s the inevitable Guardians Of The Galaxy sequel. [via]

Disney bought the rights to the Indiana Jones franchise from Paramount in 2013 and according to Deadline they maybe looking into rebooting the series instead of creating a sequel based on the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. 

Deadline points out that it is still really early to know anything that big for the Indiana Jones franchise as they call it a “dishy informed rumor for now and keep an eye on it.”

Realism is the key to great acting. It is what makes a good actor turn into a great actor. This acting tip is the best tip to make your performances stand out.

Acting is all about playing a character. If your fifteen years old and you’re playing a fifteen year old, then you can pretty much use experience to make your acting appear realistic.

However, if you are given a role such as playing a wizard, how do you act out that role? You can’t draw from experience because you have never met or even seen a wizard before. That is why it is important you use human psychology instead to make your character look more realistic.

One hidden secret that many actors overlook is taking a psychology class at a local community college. By taking a psych course you can discover how different types of people behave, and how to become a better “people watcher” whenever you are in public. Understanding the basics of psychology will teach you how to analyze what people dress, act, and behave. This will help you understand human behavior and make your performances more realistic.

Xbox New Video Game ‘Quantum Break’ Now Filming in Atlanta

Xbox is now ramping up production for a new video game series, Quantum Break filming in Atlanta, Georgia.

Quantum Break is an upcoming third-person shooter action game to be released for the Xbox One. It is being developed by Remedy Entertainment and published by Microsoft Studios. A Quantum Break digital live-action series is also in production. The game will feature digital episodes that interact with the game based on the player’s choices.

According to reports, the game is played from a cover-based third-person perspective, with time manipulation powers. The gameplay is split into segments. After playing through a segment of the game an episode of the digital show will play.

Quantum Break is set at and around the fictional North Eastern U.S. Riverport University where a time travel experiment has gone wrong. The event not only causes time to start breaking down, but also grants the three main characters—Jack Joyce, Beth Wilder, and Paul Serene—the ability to manipulate time. For example, Serene, the main antagonist, can see into the future to decide which choices to make in the present; while Joyce, one of the two protagonists, can stop time. The two are pursued by Monarch Solutions, a corporation founded by Serene.

A Quantum Break live-action series is also in production, with Remedy stating that “how you play the game impacts the show, and the show informs how you play the game.” At the end of each game episode the player will be presented with a choice, that affects the events in both the game and the show.

More and more video game companies are heading to Atlanta, Georgia to film series. The Playstation Network just wrapped production on their new streaming series Powers.

‘Satisfaction’ Season 2 Now Filming in Georgia

‘Satisfaction’ Season 2 is now filming throughout Atlanta, Georgia.

Production for USA Network’s new hit TV series, ‘Satisfaction‘ is now ramping up production for a second season in Atlanta, Georgia, according to reports.

‘Satisfaction‘ centers around a money manager Neil Truman (Matt Passmore) and his wife Grace (Stephanie Szostak) confront their relationship and life issues when Neil finds his wife having intercourse with a male escort. Neil then decides to become an escort himself, unbeknownst to his wife. Neil’s experiences encourage him to then try to rekindle his marriage.

Satisfaction was created by Sean Jablonski, who has been serving as an executive producer alongside Russ Krasnoff. It has been filming in Atlanta and Marinella Hume Casting was the previous extras casting director for the TV series.

Satisfaction has received mostly positive reviews from the critics, attaining a 82% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, while scoring 62 out of 100 “generally positive” on Metacritic based on 19 reviews.

90 Minutes in Heaven movie open casting call in Atlanta, Georgia.

Family Christian Stores, the nation’s largest Christian retail chain, is getting into the movie industry.

Rick Jackson, the entrepreneur behind the Christian retail chain, has formed Family Christian Entertainment. The company will produce two films per year, and gets underway by financing and teaming with Emmett Furla Oasis to produce 90 Minutes In Heaven.

90 Minutes in Heaven is an adaptation of the bestselling book about a Baptist pastor who was pronounced dead after a devastating car accident — only to come out of it an hour and a half later fully recalling a vision of heaven — the film has been scripted and will be directed by Michael Polish.

CL Casting is looking for actors, models, and talent to work on the upcoming feature film as it films in Atlanta, Georgia.

‘American Sniper’ has led to a rise in threats against muslims.

Collectively, Americans have thrown $200 million to the pockets of the producers of American Sniper. But despite the movie’s commercial success, many have criticized the movie for the portrayal of Muslims and the war on terror.

More recently, American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee (ADC) pointed out an “increase of serious threats against the Arab and Muslim-American communities.”

In a letter from ADC President Samer Khalaf  addressed to Bradley Cooper (via Deadline):

“A majority of the violent threats we have seen over the past few days are result of how Arabs and Muslims are depicted in American Sniper. We are in receipt of hundreds of violent messages targeting Arab and Muslim Americans from the moviegoers of the film. Many of these threats are made through social media forums, such as Twitter and Facebook. The threats advocate for the murder of Arabs, some going so far as to say,“Great f**cking movie and now I really want to kill some f**kin ragheads.” In another threat a user wrote, “American sniper makes me wanna go shoot some f**kin Arabs.”

It is important to point out that the ADC is not calling for Clint Eastwood to cancel the film and pull it from theaters. Because by removing the movie from theaters it will only cause people to want to see the movie even more.

The goal, Khalaf argues, is to have Cooper and Eastwood “use their visibility” to draw attention to “the serious dangers facing their respective communities.”
