‘Walking Dead’ ratings drop due to SNL 40

Either fans were really bored with last week’s emotional episode or people were extremely interested in seeing something funny on a Sunday night.

According to Deadline, the most watched show on television lost millions of viewers on Sunday night.

While the top rated show on television this season, among the key demo the AMC series pulled in a 6.2 on February 15 in its 9 – 10 PM slot with 7.9 million watching in the 18-49s. Overall, The Walking Dead had 12.3 million viewers, another stumble of 22% from the 15.8 million who tuned in last week. During the same 9 – 10 PM slot, the SNL 40special had an 8.4 rating in the key demo with a peak of 10.68 million watching among adults 18-49. Head-to-head in overall viewers during the hour,SNL had 24.32 million watching according to final numbers from Nielsen. That’s down a bit from the most watched hour of the more than 3-hour SNL special. The opening 8 – 9 PM slot had 26.11 million viewers. Over its 8 – 11:12 PM run, the SNL 40 special had a 7.8 rating among adults 18-49 with 9.939 million in the demo and 23.1 million viewers in the 8 – 11:30 PM slot.

This is the second week in a row where the Walking Dead ratings have taken a hit. The Season 5 midseason return was negatively affected by the Grammys and this week Walking Dead ratings will most likely take a hit due to the Academy Awards.

This may be the start of the end of The Walking Dead. The zombie apocalypse thriller once had more viewers than the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games now, it is losing their ratings to one-night specials.

Fifty Shades of Grey star Jamie Dornan revealed that he auditions for roles drunk.

Fifty Shades of Grey has shattered records and dominated the box office. It is currently, the highest grossing movie for the month of February and producers are already ramping up production for the Fifty Shades of Grey sequel.

But, Jamie Dornan was not always an A-List actor. He spent years in Los Angeles as a struggling actor. But, the 32-year-old actor revealed during a two-hour interview with Variety his worst audition ever.

Dornan auditioned for the lead in “Rock of Ages,” but it didn’t go too well.
“I had to sing ‘Waiting for a Girl Like You.’ It’s nearly impossible to sing, and I’ve got quite a deep voice when I sing. My audition was at 10 in the morning on the Warner Bros. lot. I convinced myself it would be a good idea to have a bit of whiskey to relax my vocal cords and maybe as a bit of a confidence booster. Suddenly, I took a swig of Jameson and I instantly f–ing puked. So I’m standing with all these executives driving around in golf carts, as I’m vomiting on the lot. It was a bad look. I hadn’t been clever enough to bring mouth wash. And then I had to go in, stinking of whiskey and vomit and proceed to sing ‘Waiting for a Girl Like You,’ which I couldn’t sing. It was the worst situation ever. Obviously, I didn’t hear anything back.”

Nowadays, Dornan is now humble. He tells reporters that he is “so f-ing privileged to work. I’m doing a big studio movie. You can’t take those things for granted. It’s insanity when you think a couple years ago, the stuff I’d audition for and really wanted and didn’t get. That’s the madness to this industry.”

According to TMZ, Bruce Jenner has recently opened up to his family.

Bruce Jenner recently opened up to his family that he has known since the age of 5 that he was a female.

Family sources tell TMZ, Bruce told the klan he has kept his “true self” inside since he was a child, and even during the ’76 Olympics — when he was considered the greatest male athlete in the world — in his head he was a woman. [TMZ]

However, TMZ points out that Bruce Jenner has “never been female” in front of any of his kids. Which most likely means, he never wore female clothes around the children.

‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Dominates Valentine’s Day Weekend Topping Kingsman.

‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ dominated the box-office. According to reports, ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ made nearly $100 million dollars in the United States, last weekend.

The erotic drama performed like a comicbook movie, albeit one with much naughtier costumes, picking up $81.7 million from 3,646 locations over the three-day period. That easily trumped the holiday’s previous record-holder, the 2010 debut of the romantic comedy “Valentine’s Day,” which kicked off with $56.3 million.

“It had that whole sex thing going for it, it was edgy, and it started a conversation,” said Paul Dergarabedian, senior box office analyst at Rentrak. “It went beyond being a girls’ night out movie and became a date night movie.”

Is Hollywood on the verge of changing and providing more lead roles to women? Fifty Shades of Grey is the first out of several female-driven movies.

Over the course of this year, Hollywood’s major studios are scheduled to release well over a dozen feature films that star and showcase women — from grand costume fantasies to hard-R comedies, macabre horror films to sweeping sci-fi sagas. Seven studio movies with women as the main characters will open during the summer alone. Just two years ago, only one studio film starring women, The Heat, opened during the summer. [Buzzfeed]

Fifty Shades of Grey 2 is expected to start filming this June in Toronto, Canada. According to On Location Vacations. Fifty Shades of Darker focuses on the relationship between Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, while Fifty Shades of Freed shares details of the couple’s life after they are married.

According to Box Office Mojo, The Kingsman nearly bombed in the box office with only $35 million.
