College student was arrested for sexual assault after being inspired by the ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’.
Mohammad Hossain, a 19-year-old University of Illinois Chicago student, was arrested Saturday for allegedly sexually assaulting a young woman in his dorm room.
According to police reports, Hossain was in his room with a 19-year-old female student with whom he had been intimate previously. After the woman agreed to remove some of her clothing, Hossain allegedly tied up her hand and legs and put a necktie over her mouth before hitting her with a belt.Â
The woman told him to stop, but he started punching her, and then he sexually assaulted her, prosecutors say, adding that she was able to leave when his roommate got home. According to prosecutors, Hossain told police he was recreating scenes from Fifty Shades, a steamy novel by EL James that centers on a BDSM relationship. [via]
‘The Fifty Shades of Grey’ movie adaptation is currently the number one movie at the box office for the second straight week but, this is not the type of publicity the movie’s producers are looking for.

Richard Linklater says he is now planning on creating a sequel to ‘Boyhood’.
Fans of Richard Linklater were probably disappointed to see ‘Boyhood’ overlooked at the Oscars with many people arguing that any movie that takes 12 years to make deserves an Academy Award.
That recent Oscar snub may have inspired the director to create a ‘Boyhood’ sequel. Linklater sat down with Jeff Goldsmith on The Q&A Podcast and hinted that a sequel may be in development.

To be honest… this film first met its audience exactly a year ago and for the first six months of the year, my answer to that was absolutely not. This was twelve years, it was first grade through 12th grade; it was about getting out of high school. I had no idea about another story, there’s nothing to say. It hadn’t crossed my mind.
But I don’t know if it’s been a combination of finally feeling that this is over or being asked a similar question a bunch over the last year, that I thought, well, I wake up in the morning thinking, ‘the 20s are pretty formative, you know?’” he admitted. “That’s where you really become who you’re going to be. It’s one thing to grow up and go to college, but it’s another thing to… So, I will admit my mind has drifted towards [this sequel idea].(via)
The hardest part with making a sequel to Boyhood would be the shooting schedule. Producing a movie over 12 years is not really normal. Sure, it has happened in the past, but trying to replicate ‘Boyhood’ may actually be tough. So, Linklater maybe taking the film in a completely separate direction.
The twelve years [structure] came out of [school structure]. It wouldn’t have to be twelve years. It wouldn’t have to be… I mean, who knows. I mean, if I learned anything on the ‘Before’ trilogy it took five years to realize that Jesse and Celine were still alive and had anything to say. This one would probably be more accelerated, but who knows.(via)
But, it begs the question, is ‘Boyhood’ good enough for a sequel? Linklater can do whatever he wants in terms of filmmaking but, what will the sequel actually bring to the big screen? What made Boyhood successful was the fact that it took 12 years to make, not the script, not the music, and definitely not the plot.

After Neil Patrick Harris brought attention to the Oscar seat fillers this year, many viewers asked the biggest question, “How can I become a seat filler?”
Unlike many other award shows, The Academy is extremely selective and private about who can fill someone’s seat. According to the A.V. Club, you can only get in if you have a relative working for the Academy or if you work for PWC, the accounting firm that counts the votes.
The A.V. club reportedly spoke with someone who has been a seat-filler before, but the source had to remain anonymous because seat fillers reportedly sign a non-disclosure agreements which don’t allow them to talk about their experience. The paperwork involved signing a documenting stating that if the seat filler misbehaves, he or she could get their connection fired from The Academy.Â
But, don’t get too excited. Many of the seat fillers aren’t invited to the Oscars after parties.
AVC: Fair enough. So you get there, you’re able to sit through the whole thing: What happens for you guys when the show is over?
SF: I don’t think there was any kind of after-thing. I think I went and said hi to my relative, because they were on-site, and we chatted for a little bit, and that was it. I just went home; I don’t think there was anything special for it at all. I definitely did not get any time to wander around in the theater or anything… It was a very long day, and the broadcast lasted a long time, so I’m sure we just went home and slept.
In addition, there is a dress code everyone must adhere to and nobody is allowed to talk to the actors. “Don’t do anything that makes you stand out to the camera,” the source said. “So when you’re in the seat in the theater, be as professional and stoic as possible. Don’t draw attention to yourself in any way.”

‘EMILIO’ Short Film Speaking Roles Casting Call in Atlanta, Georgia
Synopsis: After being let go from his job of twenty-plus years, 60 year-old Emilio Hernandez struggles to find a job while undertaking familial pressures at the same time.
What We’re Looking For: We are interested in working with actors of all types, be they experienced or unexperienced. If the subject matter speeks to you and if the character descriptions compell you, then lets start a dialogue and see if we can collaborate! The goal here with casting these roles is to not only find actors who fit the chracter descriptions, but also to find actors who are all about collaborating to create something that feels honest and truthful.
Character Breakdown:
Emilio(Hispanic, 50’s – 60’s) – Given his age and the competitive job market, Emilio’s mission to find a job becomes incredibly difficult. As we follow him from job interview to job interview, we see him try his best to convey an image of himself that hides the inadequacies and insecurities that plague him, which proves to be the internal conflict of the story. This role will require the actor to perform scenes in Spanish.
Maria(Hispanic, 50’s – 60’s) – Emilio’s wife. She’s grown frustrated by her husband’s insistence to only pursue “higher end” jobs in order to keep up an image of success as their domestic life crumbles. She’s the rational one, the voice of reason. This role will require the actress to perform scenes in Spanish.
Job Interviewer(Male, 40’s – 50’s) – A confident, “alpha dog” type male who interviews the protagonist for a job in Human Resources. The character is written as cold and impatient. Any actor who has a background in management, HR, or any type of corporate background would be encouraged to audition, as I feel it would lend the scene a bigger sense of realism.

Written and directed by first-timer Kevin New, Oswald’s Christmas follows the story of Oswald, who is forced to spend Christmas Eve with his overbearing wife and her obnoxious family. After a chance encounter with a Santa impersonator, however, Oswald learns about the true meaning of Christmas.

“Blue Eyes” follows a day in the life of Guy Conti, an aspiring artist whose day just keeps getting worse.
When he meets Emma at a coffee shop, he feels a connection that he can’t let go, but as fate would have it, she’s gone before he can even get a word in. Guy can’t seem to catch a break, but maybe karma will turn his luck around just yet.
We need three day players to complete our cast.

People frustrated with having to clean with a rag and spray. They are busy and dont have the time or interest in the tedium of picking up objects they collect, wiping them off and putting them back.
