‘Diamond’ Short Film Supporting Role Casting Call in Los Angeles, California.
Dark, poignant and artistic short film project is casting a middle-aged FEMALE to act in a spy/thriller story starring a powerful female protagonist. The role is a major supporting role.
Character:
Officer Foxy/Lady Fox (30’s/40’s, Caucasian, Female) — Dual/co-starring role. Attractive, and in physical shape. Height 5’4″ to 5’7″. Solid acting skills required for two huge scenes. Actress has to age 20 years within the film. Has to be believable as an LAPD Officer and 20 years later as an edgy, manipulative, and authoritative figure head of a secret organization of assassins.
Synopsis:
A dark, poignant, and off-beat tale about a young girl who is manipulated into becoming an elite assassin, used by an organization to target chauvinistic lawmakers and corrupted politicians. The themes are woman’s rights and anti-chauvinism, set to the backdrop of a moody, artistic action/spy film. The tone is very fine quality and the film is expected to show at major festivals.
The project will begin shooting in early April (within first two weeks of the month), and is a 4-day shoot. Exact dates not yet determined. Please submit head & body shots, as well your resume and a brief description of prior acting experience.
