‘The Walking Dead’ companion series has just landed a two-season order at AMC, according to reports.
The spinoff, which will be set in Los Angeles will feature new characters and storylines and is expected to debut this summer.
The first season was given only six episodes. The second season is set for 2016.
Here is what we know so far about the new Walking Dead companion series.
Cliff Curtis, Kim Dickens, Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam Carey will star in the series and the show is executive produced by the original ‘Walking Dead’ team, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero and David Alpert.
“We take incredibly seriously the notion of building a satisfying companion series to the number one show on television,” said Charlie Collier, AMC president. “From the beginning of ‘The Walking Dead’ on AMC, we’ve been asked questions about what was going on in other parts of the zombie apocalypse, and what it looked like as the world really did turn. Through this new series, we’re going to find out.”
Kirkman commented, “I’m very grateful that we now have the opportunity to tell this amazing story and show the fans that we really haven’t scratched the surface yet when it comes to ‘The Walking Dead.’” [via]

Typically “fake it ’til you make it” is all about pretending to be something that you’re not.
But, in acting it is less about how you look and more about following the behaviors of successful actors.
The Harvard Business Review explained in any business situation that you should copy the behaviors of successful people you know because it can help you in the long run.
People who use this strategy concentrate their efforts first on reproducing the behavior they have observed, even if they don’t fully understand it. Then with practice, like Lewis, they try “to get inside the brain of another person.” In their minds, they’re not being inauthentic — they’re simply evolving so they can get the job done. After a while, they find they have acted their way into a new way of thinking.
Copying successful people will help you become a better actor. We have pointed out several things all successful actors do in the past. Overall, it is important to copy successful people because you can use their experiences and habits to make you a better actor.

‘Midnight Rider’ Trial jury selection starts this Monday.
According to reports, the court case surrounding the death of Sarah Jones is ramping up in rural Georgia. Randall Miller, the director of Midnight Rider, his wife Jody Savin and executive producer Jay Sedrish are facing 11 years in prison if convicted of involuntary manslaughter.
Jury selection is scheduled to start Monday morning in Wayne County Superior Court, about 70 miles southwest of Savannah. The judge has set aside a week for the trial.
A year later, Miller is scheduled to stand trial along with his business partner wife and the movie’s executive producer in a rare case of filmmakers being prosecuted for deaths on their sets. A jury in rural Wayne County will have to decide if the train collision that killed 27-year-oldSarah Jones was an accident or the result of a criminal act. And if a crime occurred, which of the defendants, if any, should take the blame?
A fourth Midnight Rider defendant, assistant director Hillary Schwartz, has also been charged but prosecutors plan to try to her separately, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Which means that Hillary Schwartz could testify against Miller, Savin and Sedrish.
According to reports, the production went onto the bridge thinking the tracks would be unused for the rest of the day, The production placed a hospital bed on the railroad tracks for a dream scene. While shooting the scene, an oncoming train blew its whistle. The crew was warned that if they heard a train whistle, they would have a minute to clear. But, the train was heading down the tracks faster than expected and the crew did not have time to clear people from the bridge or the bed from the tracks.
The train struck the bed, sending pieces of metal flying in all directions. Sarah Jones was hit by a peices of metal and knocked into the path of the train. She was struck by the train and killed. Other crew members required hospitalization.

James Franco’s new movie ‘In Dubious Battle’ is now looking for actors, models, and talent to work on several roles in the upcoming feature film.
‘In Dubious Battle’ is set in a fictionalised valley in California, the story explores themes Steinbeck continued to develop: group behaviour, social injustice, man’s inhumanity to man. A labour conflict between migrant apple pickers and the local growers’ association is the backdrop against which Jim Nolan (Franco) becomes involved in the labour movement and rapidly matures as he learns what it means to do organisational fieldwork.
According to Empire Online, the new upcoming feature film will feature Selena Gomez, Vincent D’Onofrio, Robert Duvall, Ed Harris, Bryan Cranston and Danny McBride. The movie is based on the John Steinbeck novel ‘In Dubious Battle’.

According to reports, the spy drama has had really bad rating since it first premiered last month.
Allegiance was an American adaptation of the Israeli spy drama series The Gordin Cell. Allegiance centered around a Russian intelligence officer who approaches New York CIA Station Chief Sam Luttrell (Kenneth Choi) with information relating to a SVR plot to destroy critical infrastructure within the United States, gifted CIA analyst in Russian affairs Alex O’Connor (Gavin Stenhouse) is brought on to assist a joint FBI-CIA investigation into it. Unbeknownst to him, his mother, father and older sister are part of a Russian sleeper cell that have been reactivated with the purpose of monitoring him and preventing the identities of key Russian assets from being revealed in the course of his investigation.
With NBC pulling the plug on Allegiance it leaves an open time slot.
“Dateline: The Real Blacklist” will air at 8 p.m., leading into the 9 p.m. James Spader thriller. “The Real Blacklist,” hosted by NBC News’ Richard Engel, will focus on conspiracy-themed investigations and crimes that involve larger-than-life perpetrators and circumstances.
“The Blacklist” has been serving as the tentpole of NBC’s Thursday since its premiere in February, often drawing more than double the demo rating of the new shows on either side of it, “The Slap” and “Allegiance.” “Slap” is seen as having more potential going forward, hence its move behind “Blacklist” starting next week. Pilot Season 2015 is in full swing and casting directors, producers, and background extras are breaking their backs to turn TV scripts into a recurring TV series.
This year however, Los Angeles has lost it’s grip on the number of TV drama pilots filming in the city, according to Variety. A majority of the productions went to New York, Vancouver, and Chicago. However, what is interesting is the fact that Louisiana has only one TV pilot filming in the state. Which is bad news. Typically, if a pilot is filmed in a certain city and the show is picked up, then it is more likely that the show will film in that state. The lack of TV pilots in Louisiana points out that producers are most likely not interested in what Louisiana has to offer.
Production has already started for the TV pilots filming in Atlanta with many casting directors seeking a ton of actors for recurring roles if the shows get picked up.

That hot mugshot guy is getting out of jail and is planning on starting his modeling career.
Internet’s hottest felon, Jeremey Meeks is planning to be a model as soon as he is released from jail. According to US Weekly, Meeks is working with a new talent agency, White Cross Management to “capitalize on his Internet notoriety.”
“I’m in a place where I will be able to provide for my family and really change my life,” Meeks told ABC of his viral fame. “I never thought that everyone in the world would recognize me for my looks, so I feel extremely blessed and very thankful.” [via]
Meeks was sentenced to 27 months in prison following a weapons charge in February. The aspiring model says he concentrates on working out and replying to fan mail.
When he’s not working out, he keeps busy with all his fan mail. “I’ve got a lot of support [from] my family, my friends, and from my fans — I get hundreds and hundreds of letters every month,” he shared. “I’m very thankful for all the support I’ve been getting.”[via]

Jada Pinkett Smith says she’s leaving ‘Gotham’ at the end of Season 1.
According to reports, Gotham star Jada Pinkett Smith reveals she will not be returning to the hit Fox comic-drama for Season 2. Jada Pinkett Smith appeared on “Live with Kelly and Michael” on Friday morning and when asked if she would be back for season 2. She said, “I don’t think so, no. I signed for a year and the year is up.”
There are no reports if Smith was fired from the series, written off, or if she quit working on Gotham.
