TNT ‘Murder in the First’ Season 2 Casting Call in San Francisco/Bay Area.

TNT’s crime drama ‘Murder in the First’ is now looking for actors, models, and talent to work on the TV series filming in the San Francisco/Bay area.

The show is now filming their new season and they are looking for extras who are able to work several scenes in the TNT drama, ‘Murder in the First’.

According to Deadline, ‘Murder in the First’ was renewed for a second season earlier this year. “Murder In The First is a departure for procedural-driven TNT as it chronicles a complex homicide investigation that spans the entire season. This past season, it followed San Francisco homicide detectives Terry English (Taye Diggs) and Hildy Mulligan (Kathleen Robertson) as they investigated two seemingly unrelated murders. The mystery deepened, however, when they found that both murders had a common denominator in a Silicon Valley wunderkind.”

Beau Bonneau Casting is casting Bay Area local paid extras for background work in the TNT series “Murder in the First,” starring Taye Diggs & Kathleen Robertson. Extras are needed Tues 3/24-Fri 3/27 in SF. We are immediately seeking the following types:

* Tues 3/24 – Samoan-appearing man with dreadlocks. Approximate report time 6AM or 7AM.

* Tues 3/24, Wed 3/25 OR Fri 3/27– African American or Asian Men & Women 18 & over with strong emphasis on rough, tough appearing 18-early 30s men. Body and face tattoos, shaved heads, etc. are a huge plus, as well as 18 yr olds that can pass for younger teens. Will work 1 day only, based on your availability- Tues 3/24, Wed 3/25 or Fri 3/27 in SF. Must be free for morning start, approx 6AM or 7AM.

*Thurs 3/26 SF- Young men & women, 18-early 20s, who look younger and can portray high school students. Must have your own reliable transportation, as shoot location can be difficult to get to.

Hours/Rates: Shoots last up to 10-12 hrs per day and exact start time is unknown until the night before. Must be avail from morning to late evening without conflict . Non Union rate is $88.40/8hrs based on SF min. wage $11.05/hr plus overtime at time and ½. SAG-AFTRA members get scale.

Employment: I-9 paperwork is filled out on set and extras must have the appropriate ID or you cannot be employed. U.S. Citizens must be able to present current U.S. Passport or valid Drivers License with either Social Security Card or Birth Certificate on set for employment. Non U.S. Citizens must have Permanent Resident/Green Card or Work Authorization from the Dept. of Homeland Security.

ABC TV Reporter Dies After A Tragic Brain Aneurysm While on Assignment

ABC TV reporter dies after suffering a brain aneurysm while she was on assignment.

According to reports, veteran WABC-TV reporter Lisa Colagrossi died Friday after suffering a brain hemorrhage on her way home from a live assignment.

At the age of 49, Colagrossi was prounouced dead from the aneurysm.

From Deadline:

Colagrossi was en route back to the station from covering a four-alarm fire in Woodhaven, Queens, that tore through several homes late Wednesday night, according to multiple reports. “She was in the news van after finishing her live shot when she said ‘Oh my God, something is wrong,’ ” a friend said. Her producer flagged down an ambulance.

Colagrossi reported for WABC for the last 15 years and she leaves behind a husband and two sons.

Mini-Me Suffers Seizure and Rushed to Hospital

Verne Troyer suffers a seizure rushed to hospital.

According to TMZ, Verne Troyer was taken to the hospital after suffering a seizure during a fan meet and greet in Texas. Verne was attending the Heart of Texas Comic Con on Saturday when he suddenly became ill.

Witnesses say Verne was struggling to breath, and TMZ has spoken to his rep who tells us he was transferred to a hospital as a precautionary measure.

The rep says he went through a battery of testing at the hospital and he is doing fine now.

No word yet on what caused the seizure.

HBO Picks Up Snoop Dogg’s 1980s L.A. Drama

Snoop Dogg is working with HBO to create a drama centering around Los Angeles in the 1980s.

Snoop Dogg is looking to create a TV empire of his own. According to Variety, the rapper announced on Friday that he will executive produce a drama about 1980s Los Angeles alongside director Allen Hughes (‘The Book of Eli’) and writer Rodney Barnes (‘The Boondocks’).

The drama will center around a family living in inner-city L.A. and will explore the effects of Reagan-era social policies on the era.

“HBO is the No. 1 network in the world as far as developing and having these types of shows come to life,” he said during his SXSW Q&A with longtime manager Ted Chung. “This is a dream come true to be able to tell a story that’s going to be told the right way on the right network.” [Variety]

HBO recently gave the green light to Steve McQueen (’12 Years a Slave’) new drama ‘Code of Conduct’. HBO gave the series a six-episode limited series order and will center around a young African American man as he bumps shoulders with New York’s upperclass.

With the recent success of shows like ‘Empire’, more networks are looking towards more diverse stories featuring a wider range of actors.

‘Clerks III’ Now Hiring Crew in Philadelphia

‘Clerks III’ now hiring crew in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

We recently reported that ‘Clerks III’ was going to film in Philadelphia earlier this week and now producers are hiring crew members to work on the upcoming feature film.

Clerks came out in 1994 and is a black-and-white comedy film written and directed by Kevin Smith, who also appears in the film as Silent Bob. Starring Brian O’Halloran as Dante Hicks and Jeff Anderson as Randal Graves, it presents a day in the lives of two store clerks and their acquaintances. Clerks was shot for $27,575 in the convenience and video stores where director Kevin Smith worked in real life. Upon its theatrical release, the film grossed over $3 million in theaters, launching Smith’s career.

According to the Philadelphia Film Comission, crew members are hiring a wide range of prositions on the upcoming feature film. Filming for ‘Clerks III’ will start shooting in mid-April and will shoot for 5 weeks ending in early June in Philadelphia.

5 Ways Exercise Turns You Into a Better Actor

Learn how exercising can make you into a wannabe actor into an A-List actor.

Acting is tough. Between acting classes, updating your Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts, and actually performing well in front of a camera, actors still have to find the time to make sure they look good in front of the camera. That is why training your body is just as important as training your acting skills.

At the most basic level, as an actor you should start a regular exercise program to keep your body in good shape so that you’ll be healthy enough to attend auditions and play any role you can get. For instance, Chris Pratt (‘Guardians of the Galaxy’)revealed in an interview his worst audition and what he planned to do in the future.

“When ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ was pitched to me, I said, ‘I don’t think so,’” he tells Esquire magazine for their September cover story. “I just didn’t picture myself getting the role. I didn’t want to go and embarrass myself like I did when I auditioned for ‘G.I. Joe’ a couple of years previously. I went in there, and halfway through I saw the director’s eyes just glaze over. It made sense–I was a little heavy and out of shape. I was not gonna play someone from G.I. Joe. I did not look like a G.I. Joe action figure come to life.”

In addition, you want to consider taking movement classes to help improve the body gestures that are critical to your acting. Learning the art of blocking can teach you how to express yourself without relying on words. On the amazing series, ‘Every Frame a Painting’, the author points out what made Robin Williams such a great actor and it all came down to his movements and blocking.

Also, since action movies are so popular, actors must consider signing up for martial arts classes to learn a new skill which may help you land a particular acting role. For example, if you were ever interested in working on Disney’s ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ franchise, then it may be in your best interest to learn Fencing. Fencing classes can improve your coordination while teaching you how to use a sword for a role that requires a sword fight.

Overall, the camera adds 10 pounds, and without a strong and healthy body, you are cutting yourself short and limiting your chances of becoming an A-List actor. What’s the point of being famous if you’re too sick to enjoy any of it.

‘Empire’ Star Malik Yoba is Pissed He Was Killed Off the Show

‘Empire’ star Malik Yoba is mad he was killed off the show and wants to know who wanted him gone from the series.

Days after ‘Empire’ aired their season finale, millions of people are still talking about the hit TV show including, Malik Yoba.

Malik Yoba plays Vernon Turner on the hit TV series and according to reports he is pissed off that the was killed off the show. Malik Yoba revaled in an interview with TMZ how he got the news his character was going to killed off.

Malik came on “TMZ Live” and laid out the painful moment Lee Daniels informed him his services would not be needed for Season 2 — and it’s a real kick in the gut. Let’s just say he was doing charity work AND promoting the very show … that was about to dump him.

Malik adds the decision to kill off someone was the network’s call.

Nowadays, TV shows murder key characters off a TV series on a regular. One of the most popular shows known for doing this is The Walking Dead. However, when a character is going to get killed off producers have a discussion with the character and the cast and crew hold a “last dinner” for the characters. Unfortunately, things are a lot more straightforward to say the least on ‘Empire’.

‘From Dusk Till Dawn’ Season 2 Now Hiring Stand-ins in Austin, Texas.

“From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series” is centered around bank robber, Seth Gecko (Cotrona) and his violent, unpredictable brother, Richard “Richie” Gecko (Holtz), who are wanted by the FBI and Texas Rangers Earl McGraw ( Johnson) and Freddie Gonzalez (Garcia) after a bank heist leaves several people dead. While on the run to Mexico, Seth and Richie encounter former pastor Jacob Fuller (Patrick) and his family, whom they take hostage. Using the family RV to cross the border, chaos ensues when the group detours to a strip club that is populated by vampires. They are forced to fight until dawn in order to get out alive. The series deepens the tone and expands the storyline of the film, adds new characters and backstories, and explores the Mesoamerican mythology behind the creatures inside the club.
