20th Century Fox is rebooting their 2003 historical fantasy movie The ‘League of Extraordinary Gentleman’.
The previous ‘League of Extraordinary Gentleman featured Sean Connery as Allan Quatermain – it would be the actor’s final movie before the actor retired.
‘The League of Extraordinary Gentleman’ was supposed to start a new franchise. However, the movie did horribly in the box office.
‘The League of Extraordinary Gentleman’ is based on a comic book series launched in 1999. The new ‘League of Extraordinary Gentleman’ is based on Alan Moore and Kevin O’Neill’s graphic novel of the same name, centering on Victorian-era literary characters such as Captain Nemo, the Invisible Man, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde teaming to fight a common enemy. Season 6 ‘Game of Thrones’ Casting Call Leaks Online and It’s Amazing
The first character descriptions for the Season 6 ‘Game of Thrones’ casting call have leaked online. The casting calls are so vague and so general that they can be posted here without a spoiler warning. According to Watchers on the Wall Website, here are the latest casting calls for Season 6 ‘Game of Thrones’.
Pirate: “Man in his 40s to late 50s. He’s ‘an infamous pirate who has terrorized seas all around the world. Cunning, ruthless, with a touch of madness.’ He’s a dangerous-looking man. A very good part this season.”
Father: “Aged 50s to 60s, he’s one of the greatest soldiers in Westeros—a humorless martinet, severe and intimidating. He demands martial discipline in the field and in his home. It’s described as ‘a very good part’ for next year and that he’s ‘centrally involved’ in a protagonist’s storyline.”
His Family: “Mother in her 50s. She’s a sweet, plump, and adoring mother, and has a soft spot for one of her children who benefits from her decency. Sister in her early 20s. She’s a kind, friendly and unpretentious woman. Brother in his early to mid-20s . Athletic, a good hunter, an excellent swordsman, manly, not particularly bright but the favourite child of the father.”
Priest: “In his 40s or 50s. A gruff ex-soldier who found religion. Now a no-nonsense rural priest who ministers to the poor of the countryside. He’s salt-of-the-earth man who has weathered many battles.”
Various: “Leading Actress in her early 40s, she’s an elegant actress with a traveling theatre company. Fun, charismatic, rum-drinking actress in the troupe. Priestess, mid-20s to early 30s. Any ethnicity—she’s beautiful, intense, and magnetic. Fierce Warrior, a tall man in 30s or 40s with a powerful physique. They’re looking for someone with ‘mixed ethnicity’ for the role.”
A Trio of Boys: (1) “large boy, with an actor who is 10-12 but playing 7 or 8. He’s described as ‘a clever boy’ who seems too large for his age. He’s big and tall but not fat. ‘Characterful squat features’ are a plus for this part. It’s specified that this is a one-time appearance.” (2) “12 year old boy, with brown hair and blue eyes. He needs to use a Northern accent. He has scenes where he has to spar with a wooden sword. The length of the role isn’t specified.” (3) “7 year old boy with dark brown hair, a narrow face and green eyes. He also has a Northern accent. He also spars with the wooden sword, so it’s safe to assume it’s the same scene. This role is similarly open-ended, the description only stating that the character is being ‘introduced.’”
If you read the books you probably already know who these characters are. If not, let us break it down for you.
The Priest character is big news. Rory McCann’s Hound character is probably going to make a comeback in Season 6. He is a big deal because there is a strong book theory that a scene reveals that the Hound has survived his wounds and is living out his days anonymously as a gravedigger at a monastery.
The various characters sound like people we might meet in Essos. In a future book Arya is part of a traveling theatrical group so the leading actress character sounds like it may tie into her plot. The Priestess and the Fierce Warrior are a little more vague, but based on the casting description I would say they are talking about other groups in Essos. But, the warrior could be a new fighter for Daenerys.
Expect more flashbacks. The “trio of boys” could be Ned Stark, Robert Baratheon, and Ned’s brother Brandon. They could also be other characters featured in Season 1 of the Game of Thrones. However, it is too vague to tell.
So what do you think? Are you going to audition for a role on ‘Game of Thrones’ season 6? Check out our guide here to landing a speaking role on ‘Game of Thrones,’ to learn how to apply.

B.B. King’s kids say he was murdered by his business manager.
Earlier this month, a coroner determined that B.B. King’s death was caused by a series of mini-strokes. Now the late bluesman’s kids say his cause of death was tied to something more more sinister.
King’s health began deteriorating over the last year and he reportedly entered a home hospice two weeks before his death. Both King’s physician and the Las Vegas coroner said his death was due to series of strokes and type 2 diabetes.
Reports suggested that the doctors believed King’s “strokes resulted from reduced blood flow as a consequence of chronic diabetes — or unhealthy fluctuations in blood sugar levels.”
Now, the AP reports, at least two of King’s daughters say that they believe King’s business manager, LaVerne Toney, poisoned King to death. But Toney – a longtime employee who was reportedly the last person to see King alive – has been at legal odds with King’s children’s for a while.
B.B. King’s daughters didn’t see him at all during the last 2 weeks of his life — and are now just hoping they can be involved in planning his memorial.
Patty King tells TMZ … she and her sister Karen Williams spoke to B.B.’s manager Laverne Toney on Thursday morning, and she had agreed to let them see B.B. on Saturday at noon. But Patty says Toney called her at 9:40 PM to say her father had died peacefully in his sleep
As TMZ first reported … Patty and her sister Karen had been at odds with Toney for months — accusing her of elder abuse and stealing from King. Their claims were shot down in court last week.
A coroner tells the AP an autopsy was performed this weekend and shuold be completed over the next eight weeks. A Las Vegas police spokeserpson tells reporters that homicide detectives are still investigating the case.
King’s family is also accusing Toney—who still has power of attorney over King’s estate—of misappropriating millions of dollars, lying, and exerting undue influence over her late client.

The Pope has revealed he hasn’t watched TV since 1990.
Pope Francis has revealed that he has avoided the “temptation of television” since July 1990. The Pope said he gave up TV after promising the Virgin Mary he would stay away from it.
“I have not watched TV since 1990. It’s a promise that I made [to] the Virgin of Carmen on the night of July 15, 1990. I told myself: ‘It’s not for me’,” he said in an interview with Argentine newspaper La Voz del Pueblo that was reported in the Independent.
The Pope also revealed that he does not use the Internet and spends only 10 minutes a day reading a newspaper. The Pope however, is a huge soccer fan, does, however, manage to keep up with the scores for his beloved hometown team San Lorenzo of the Argentine league. “There is a Swiss Guard that every week tells me the results and how we are doing in the league table,” he said.
Also in the interview, the Pope spoke of his heavy workload, as well as going out for pizza, a simple pleasure that has become impossible since he became pontiff. “Take-away is not the same. The nice thing is to go to there, to the pizzeria,” he said.

Is this the end of Family Guy? According to Nielsen ratings, ‘Family Guy’s ratings are at an all time low.
Season 13 of Family Guy only had 5.86 million viewers on average. Since, 2005 the ratings have continued to slowly decline and drop. In Season 4 of Family Guy, 7.9 million people watched ‘Family Guy’ every Sunday night. But, over the course of 9 years, the ratings have continued to slow down to a around 5 million viewers an episode.
So it begs the question – why are people not watching ‘Family Guy’ like they used to?
Don’t get me wrong there are still a couple of good moments now and then but, it looks as though the show’s writing has taken a turn for the worse. Nowadys, Peter talks to the audience breaking the fourth wall every 5 minutes. The storylines are completely ridiculous with 20 second conclusions. The cutaways are getting longer to basically waste time and character development is pathetic. Brian used to be the voice of reason and now he’s a jerk. Stewie was an evil genius now he is a character only there for gay jokes.
It seems that after 13 seasons they can literally write anything they want because they will still make money. At the end of the day I think Patrice O’Neale said it the best during the Roast of Charlie Sheen:
The Rock has just landed himself in the Guinness Book of World Records for breaking the read for taking the most selfies under three minutes.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson took a total of 105 selfies at the London premiere of his new movie, ‘San Andreas.’ A Guiness Book of World Records official was onsite to make sure every selfie was legit. There are very specific rules for taking selfies such as full faces and necks must be in the photo and the image has to be in focus.
“We just set a NEW GUINNESS WORLD RECORD for most self-portraits (selfies) taken in record time (yup, a selfie world record exists and your arm gets a helluva workout),” The Rock wrote on his Instagram. This unique medical condition is shared by some of Hollywood’s biggest actors.
Do you know what Mila Kunis, Henry Cavil and Christopher Walken all have in common? Besides the “it factor”, talent, good looks, and a ton money, they have a condition called heterochromia. Basically, their eyes are two different colors.
Eye color is a genetic trait that is inherited by our parents. So what happens when someone has two different eye colors? Heterochromia iridum, is the result of either the lack or excess of pigment. This can be inherited, but it can also be cause by disease or injury. Congenital heterochromia is pretty common. Six out of 1000 people have it. There are varying degrees of heterochromia iridum so in some instances you may not even be able to notice who has it.
Here are 5 celebrities who have heterochromia.

Former ‘X Factor’, Sally Hessnice contestant sues claiming her audition was “altered”.
Sally Hessnice says the producers of X Factor, Simon Cowell’s singing competition series, distorted her voice and manipulated footage of her audience.
According to reports, Hessnice filed a complaint Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court saying the producers manipulated her performance which aired in September 2013 to make her look bad. She is currently suing the production companies behind X-Factor – Fremantle, Syco and Blue Orbit.
States her complaint, “The Audition had been altered in the following ways: a.) Plaintiff’s voice (i.e., pitch, reverb and vocal legato) was altered to sound ‘screechy’ and unprofessional; b.) the positive audience reaction was replaced with footage of a disinterested audience; and c.) the judges’ original comments and reactions to Plaintiff were re-filmed (without Plaintiff present) to show a negative response to Plaintiff.
“In addition, the stage manager prompted the Plaintiff to walk around the entire stage. During the Audition, Plaintiff noticed the surface of the stage was inconsistent, with ‘pillowy’ surfaces scattered throughout. This was an intentional effort by Defendants to disrupt her performance and pre-arrange the outcome of the Audition,” it continues. [THR]
She argues that because she is a professional singer, the manipulated audition has ruined her reputation.
Hessnice also claims the audition violated a federal law that prohibits “engag[ing] in any artifice or scheme for the purpose of prearranging or predetermining in whole or in part the outcome of a purportedly bona fide contest of intellectual knowledge, intellectual skill, or chance.”
She wants $2 million in damages and is suing for intentional infliction of emotional distress, defamation, false light invasion of privacy, and gross negligence.
You can watch her audition below:

Is Louisiana’s anti-gay order going to destroy the state’s film industry?
Louisiana’s governor Bobby Jindal has been criticized this week for signing a “religious freedom” executive order to end same-sex marriages in Louisiana. On 19 May, the Republican executive issued an executive order allowing businesses to turn away LGBTI customers.
Currently, Louisiana is the number one location for all major motion pictures filmed in the United States but, with the new anti-gay legislative measure affect the future of Louisiana’s film industry?
Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York has already called for a ban on all non-essential travel to Louisiana, following Jindal’s order. However, according to a recent report by The Hollywood Reporter, the producer of ‘Pitch Perfect‘ and ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ thinks that nothing will change at all. Scott Niemeyer, who filmed both movies in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, argues that Jindal’s decision is a political move to increase his chances of winning a presidential campaign.
“We’re aware that he is on his last leg,” Niemeyer says. “Although we do appreciate his support [of the film tax incentives] throughout the last 7.5 years, his bigger goal is the presidency it seems. That’s really where his motives lie. I don’t think there’s really any whipsaw effect on the movie industry.”
Niemeyer says that without significant state legislator support, plus taking into account Louisiana’s generous motion picture investor tax credit, it is unlikely much will change in “Hollywood South.”
At the end of the day it seems like Hollywood doesn’t care what kind of laws or rules that are implemented in the state as long as you don’t start touching with tax credits.
“Hollywood likes its money,” says Niemeyer. “It tends to go where its flowing, especially when its subsidizing production or supporting production. It would have to be a much more aggressive move on Jindal’s part to actually get anybody’s attention at a level that would alter production decisions.”
It is pretty ironic that the producer of the ‘Pitch Perfect’ supports the anti-gay order but, also features two LGBTI characters in the movie.
