‘Miracles from Heaven’ Now Hiring Stand-ins in Atlanta, Georgia.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, ‘Heaven is For Real’ producers are now working on the latest Christian family movie, ‘Miracles from Heaven’.
The project is an adaptation of Three Miracles From Heaven: A Sick Little Girl, Her Journey to Heaven, and the Lives Forever Changed, an upcoming book byChristy Beam; Randy Brown, who wrote Clint Eastwood‘s Trouble With the Curve, is on board to write the script.
T.D. Jakes and Joe Roth, who produced Heaven Is for Real, are producing along with DeVon Franklin, the preacher and former Sony exec who is now a producer based on the studio’s Culver City lot. Franklin was instrumental in bringing in the book in proposal form, and the acquisition is a vote of confidence in the newly minted producer. [via]
According to the Christian Post, the movie is based on a true story about Christy Beam’s daughter who miraculously overcame a rare disorder that forced her to eat with tubes and carry colostomy bags instead of using regular bathrooms. After Beam’s daughter fell three stories, the book reveals the young girl visited heaven and was later cured of her rare condition.’

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is now filming in New York City and Grant Wilfley Casting is looking for actors, models, and talent to work as extras in the upcoming feature film.
According to Variety, Megan Fox is set to return as April O’Neil and work alongside Will Arnett and Stephen Amell. David Green will direct TMNT2 but details surrounding the plot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 movie have not been released.

William Hurt opens up about the ‘Midnight Rider’ accident that killed Sarah Jones.
William Hurt was playing Gregg Allman in Randall MIller’s ‘Night Rider’, shooting a dream sequence on a bed atop some train tracks on a bridge, minutes before a train crashed through the set, killing 27-year-old camera assistant Sarah Jones. Miller was eventually sentenced to two years in jail over the incident, the first time criminal charges had been brought over an on-set accident since Vic Morrow’s death in a helicopter accident on the Twilight Zone movie 30 years ago.
This week, in an interview with Canada’s Global News, Hurt talked about the tragic accident that killed Sarah Jones.
“I stopped everything and I said in front of everybody, I said, ‘Stop.’ And I asked (assistant director) Hillary (Schwartz) in front of the whole crowd, ‘Are we safe?’ Because it’s her job as the first AD to tell us that. She said, ‘Yes.’”
Hurt says he asked whether there was a spotter to alert them to oncoming trains and how much time they’d have to get out of the way. He says he was told, “Sixty seconds.”
“And I said in front of everybody, ‘Sixty seconds is not enough time to get these people and this equipment off this bridge. There’s just no way.’ And then I looked around, thinking that the rest of the crew, who had all worked with her before … would say something. And they didn’t. They just started shambling back to work. And I thought, ‘Well that’s their vote. They trust her.’ So we went to work.”
Hurt says he lay down on a bed that had been placed perpendicular to the tracks. Then he heard Schwartz say a train was coming.
“I was barefoot and I turned around, I twisted my head and I said, ‘Someone’s going to die now,’” he recalls.
“I tried to yank the bed up, my feet were getting clobbered by the splinters in the ties. I couldn’t move the bed at all, I just started screaming ‘You can’t stop it, you can’t stop it, you can’t stop it, you can’t stop it.’ And I picked my way across the ties, trying not to fall to impede people climbing over me who were trying to escape, too.
“And then I got into the rocks which were razor sharp and I turned and I’m going, ‘Oh, Jesus God.’ I’m looking at them, I was only a few feet away from the train and I saw them, I felt the wind buffered and I just covered my eyes and started screaming ‘No, no, no, no, no, no.’” [Globalnews.Ca]
That’s pretty horrible. At the end of the day, don’t risk your lives for your jobs. If something feels wrong, stop watch you’re doing and run.

How Marvel used Instagram to cast the new Spider-Man, Tom Holland.
Sony and Marvel have finally discovered their new Peter Park and Spider-Man but, months before Tom Holland was ever picked to replace Andrew Garfield, the actor was auditioning via Instagram.
The casting calls for “Spider-Man” is over, with 19-year-old Tom Holland winning the role of Marvel’s biggest superhero and it looks like the young actor may have used Instagram to land the role.
Tom Holland beat the likes of Nat Wolff, Asa Butterfield, Timothee Chalamet and Liam James for the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man.
But, what landed Holland the role probably comes down to the impressive amateur stunt kills he has acquired over the past few months. Tom Holland’s Instagram is filled with crazy flips, jumps, Parkour-level street tricks and action soccer kicks.
“For Spidey himself, we saw many terrific young actors, but Tom’s screen tests were special. All in all, we are off to a roaring start.” saidTom Rothman, Sony Pictures Motion Pictures Group Chairman, upon announcement.
It is urmored that Tom Holland will appear as Spider-Man in the new upcoming ‘Captain America: Civil War’ movie which is currently filming in Atlanta, Georgia.

Screech has been sentenced to four months in jail and probation after his wild night filled with shenanigans and stabbings.
38-year-old Dustin “Screech” Diamond has been sentenced to four months in jail after he was found guilty of carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct over his part in a Christmas Day bar brawl in Wisconsin.
Judge Paul Malloy also sentenced Diamond to 15 months’ probation and ordered him to report to jail Sunday. Diamond was convicted earlier this month on two misdemeanor counts that stemmed from a Christmas Day barroom fight.

The whole situation started from an incident where Screech claimed he pulled the knife to protect his girlfriend from a mob of wild-eyed Screech fans, while witnesses testified that it was actually his girlfriend who initiated the fight. Schutz was convicted of disorderly conduct and fined $500.
Other witnesses told the court the incident began when Schutz pushed a woman at the bar and grabbed another woman’s hand. [BBC]
Diamond’s testimony veered widely from the story presented by the prosecution’s nine witnesses, most of whom were cousins of 25-year-old Casey Smet, who suffered a minor stab wound during the altercation.
While the prosecution’s witnesses described Diamond and his fiancee, Amanda Schutz, as aggressors who were uninterested in the apology of Smet’s girlfriend after she accidentally bumped into them at the bar, Diamond said the bumping was intentional and repeated.
The group of cousins was trying to take pictures of him because they recognized him from television, he said. Diamond is best known for his role as the character Screech in the 90s sitcom Saved by the Bell.
When he and Schutz stood up to leave the bar, Diamond testified, the group swarmed to block their way and began violently attacking Schutz.
Diamond said he heard multiple “impact sounds” as the cousins hit his fiancee.
“I saw a tall guy holding her arms back, as if to keep her from defending herself,” he said. “As she had her arms being held back, she was being struck.”
He also said he witnessed someone choking Schutz.
We wish Screech luck on being able to rehabilitate himself in jail, and hopefully revitalize his acting career.

‘Gotham’ Season 2 Casting Call for Prisoner Types in New York City, New York.

Disney is currently working on a new movie about evolution.
According to Deadline, Disney — the company behind movies about talking animals, flying children, and pirates-is now developing a movie about Charles Darwin, the man who discovered the theory of evolution.
Charles Darwin was an English geologist and naturalist, best known for his contributions to the theory of evolution. He established that all species of life have descened over time from common ancenstors, and in a joint publication with Alfred Russel Wallace introduced his scientific theory that his pattern of evolution resulted from the process of natural selection, in which the struggle for existence is just as similar as artificial selection seen in selective breeding.

This train of thought goes completely against Christianity and the theory of Creationism. Creationism is the belief that the Universe and Life originate “from specific acts of divine creation and not evolution.
Traffic writer Stephen Gaghan will be writing and directing, and though Deadline doesn’t have any specific details about the project, it does say it’ll be “an adventure film.”
Deadline also reports that Darwin “had a bit of that Indiana Jones-like swashbuckling spirit in him,” so if Disney takes that angle it might help make this movie a little more desirable to the people who don’t agree with Darwin’s life’s work.
With Chris Pratt’s recent blockbuster success, I would not be surprised of Disney producers choose Chris Pratt to play Charles Darwin. However, the whole evolution debate may back fire in Disney’s face.

‘Indignation’ Casting Call for College Students in New York City.
Central Casting New York is looking for extras to play to college students for the upcoming feature film, ‘Indignation’.
‘Indignation’ centers around Marcus Messner, a working-class Jewish student from New Jersey, attends a small Ohio college, where he struggles with anti-Semitism, sexual repression, and the ongoing Korean War.
The upcoming movie is based on Philip Roth’s 2008 novel “Indignation” and will be directed by former Focus Cheif, James Schamus.
Schamus co-founded Focus and ran the label until 2013, when he was pushed out by parent company Universal Pictures in favor of Peter Schlessel. The former FilmDistrict chief was tasked with charting a more commercial path for Focus, which under Schamus produced such films as “The Kids Are All Right,” “Brokeback Mountain,” “Lost in Translation” and “Milk.”
