11 Actors That Hated Their Own Movies

0

Despite getting paid millions, some Hollywood actors hate their acting or movies so much that they bashed it in public.

Many movie stars tend to talk positively about the movies they’ve starred in, either following contractual obligations or for the general love of the production. However, sometimes the displeasure of being involved in a partuclar production is just too great and in rare cases, actors can’t stop talking about how much they hate their own movies.

The following 11 actors have publicly admitted that they wish they had never agreed to working on certain movies.

1. Ben Affleck on ‘Daredevil’

Marvel’s ‘Daredevil’ was a major disappointment in the box office. It would stall Ben Affleck movie’s career for several years. The movie did so poorly that Ben Affleck seemed to have never let it go. In 2011 while promoting his new movie ‘Argo,’ he admitted:

“It just kills me…the fact that it got f***ed up the way it did stays with me.”

2. Mark Wahlberg on ‘The Happening’

Mark Wahlberg will be the first to admit that ‘The Happening’ was a ridiculous movie. His rants about the production include him talking about how ‘The Happening’ was a “bad film” and the movie’s plot was preposterous:

“F***ing trees, man. The plants. F*** it.”

In case you never watched ‘The Happening,’ the movie is about trees that decide to kill people.

3. Bob Hoskins on ‘Super Mario Brothers’

Bob Hoskins still hates ‘Super Mario Brothers’. Last year in an interview with The Guardian, Hoskins revealed he still hates the fact that he worked on that movie:

What is the worst job you’ve done?
Super Mario Brothers.
What has been your biggest disappointment?
Super Mario Brothers.
If you could edit your past, what would you change?
I wouldn’t do Super Mario Brothers.

5. Katherine Heigl on ‘Knocked Up!’

Millions of people loved ‘Knocked Up!’ It was a box office hit and it helped solidify Katherine Heigl and Seth Rogen’s acting career. However, Heigl was not too happy with the outcome of the movie. Heigl claimed that although she enjoyed working on the movie, she wasn’t so sure about the content of ‘Knocked Up!’ itself calling the movie sexist.

“It was a little sexist […] It paints the women as shrews, as humorless and uptight, and it paints the men as lovable, goofy, fun-loving guys. Ninety-eight percent of the time it was an amazing experience, but it was hard for me to love the movie.”

6. Halle Berry on ‘Catwoman’

Critics hated Halle Berry’s 2004 thriller, ‘Catwoman.’ The movie was so bad that even Halle Berry agreed it was a bad movie. Halle Berry would later earn the award for worst actor at the 25th annual Razzie Awards, and she she accepted her award, she said:

“I want to thank Warner Bros. for casting me in this piece-of-sh–, god-awful movie.”

7. Robert Pattinson on ‘Twilight’

Even Robert Pattinson hated the ‘Twilight’ franchise. He argued that the storyline made no sense and when asked about his role in the movie he said:

“He’s a 108-year-old virgin, so he’s obviously got some issues there.”

And then, when asked if he would be a fan if he wasn’t in it, he said that “I would just mindlessly hate it.”

8. Megan Fox on ‘Transformers’

Despite ‘Transformers’ being her breakout role, Megan Fox not only talked down about her performance, but also called out the director, Michael Bay’s work ethic. She said:

“I’m terrible in it […] It’s my first real movie, and it’s not honest and not realistic. The movie wasn’t bad, I just wasn’t proud about what I did… But unless you’re a seasoned veteran, working with Michael Bay is not about an acting experience.”

9. Channing Tatum on ‘GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra’

During an interview with Howard Stern, Channing Tatum revealed that he hated the movie.

Look, I’ll be honest. I f***en hate that movie. I hate that movie,”

He also explained how Paramount pushed him to take on the role:

“(After) Coach Carter, they signed me for a three-picture deal … And as a young (actor), you’re like, ‘Oh my god, that sounds amazing, I’m doing that.’”

10. Daniel Radcliffe on ‘Harry Potter & the Half Blood Prince’

Harry Potter

Despite growing up alongside the Harry Potter franchise, Daniel Radcliffe isn’t too happy about appearing in the series. In particular, he is very critical of his acting performance in the ‘Half Blood Prince,’ admitting:

“It’s hard to watch a film like Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, because I’m just not very good in it. I hate it. My acting is very one-note and I can see I got complacent and what I was trying to do just didn’t come across.”

11. Sean Connery on the James Bond movies

Taking on the role of James Bond would seem to be any actor’s dream. But, not if you’re Sean Connery. Connery has been quoted numerous times revealing how much he hates the franchise:

“I have always hated that dammed James Bond. I’d like to kill him.”

Do you agree that some of these movies were terrible?

Disney’s Star Wars Theme Park: 5 Things You Need to Know

0

Disney just announced their plans to create a ‘Star Wars’ theme park. Here is everything you need to know.

Disney CEO Bob Iger announced that the company will introduce two “Star Wars” themed parks in Disneyland park in Anaheim, California and Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.

“We are creating a jaw-dropping new world that represents our largest single-themed land expansion ever,” Iger said. “These new lands at Disneyland and Walt Disney World will transport guests to a whole new ‘Star Wars’ planet.

Iger said the new areas will be “occupied by many inhabitants; humanoids, aliens and droids … the attractions, the entertainment, everything we create will be part of our storytelling. Nothing will be out of character or stray from the mythology.”

At both parks, there will be a place where fans can “run into all the droids and roaming beasts ‘Star Wars’ is known for,” including characters from other “Star Wars” movies and future sequels.

Disney also released concept art of the new lands which promise to immerse fans in ways never before possible.

1. Major Attractions

According to Disney CEO Bob Iger, the expansion will have two new signature attractions, including a ride where fans can take the controls of the Millennium Falcon “on a customized secret mission,” and an experience that drop attendees into a “a climactic battle between the First Order and the resistance.”

2. Disney is Now Casting

Iger also pointed out that they are “currently casting oles” to staff the new attractions. The partnership between Disney and Lucasfilm dates back to 1987, when the Star Wars Tours first opened at Disneyland.

3. Disney will be adding a new interactive experience

Star Wars Launch Bay will take guests into “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” with special exhibits and a look behind-the-scenes, including opportunities to visit with new and favorite “Star Wars” characters, and purchase special merchandise and food. Star Wars Launch Bay will be located in the Animation Courtyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and in Tomorrowland at Disneyland park. Star Wars Launch Bay will share the space with the reimagined Super Hero HQ at Disneyland, featuring opportunities to meet and take photos with superheroes like Captain America and Thor, as well as experience the returning Iron Man Tech presented by Stark Industries. Both experiences will be available for guests later this year.

4. Jedi Training Academy Will Get an Update!

The popular Jedi Training Academy will also get an update, including several new characters and a villain to battle from the Disney XD series “Star Wars Rebels.” And a seaonal event called Season of the Force, beginning early 2016, will hit both parks next year. In Tomorrowland at Disneyland, guest will be able to explore the “Star Wars” galaxy with special entertainment throughout the land, along with themed food locations.

5. Space Mountain will be updated with Star Wars attractions

Along with the event, Space Mountain will get a makeover to become Hyperspace Mountain, in which guest will join an X-wing Starfighter battle. And at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando, guests will be able to see fireworks set to the music of Star Wars.

NBC is Turning ‘RED’ into a TV Series

0

NBC is giving old people with guns and turning ‘RED’ into a TV series.

It looks like another movie franchise is being made into a TV series. Following the announcement of CBS’ ‘Training Day‘ TV series, Deadline is reporting that NBC is working on a TV series based on the Bruce Willis-starring ‘Red’ films. The hourlong program comes from Jon Hoeber and Erich Hoeber, the writers of the 2010 film and the 2013 sequel.

The 2010 movie was a box office hit and was inspired by the limited comic book series from Warren Ellis and Cully Hamner. Both movies were a success and featured Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker and Helen Mirren joining Bruce Willis as a group of “REDs”— which stands for “Retired Extremely Dangerous” operatives — who end up coming out of said retirement after one of their own is taken down by the CIA.

While there is no word yet on the cast planned for the RED TV series, NBC is allegedly sticking to the storyline created in the movie franchise. That being said, the series will be “set in a more grounded and authentic world, focusing on the characters’ darkly hilarious struggles to survive civilian life as they simultaneously fight for and against the very organization that threw them out.”

NBC is Creating a “The Office” DC Comics Universe Comedy

0

NBC is looking to make an “Office” style comedy about the DC Comics universe.

Deadline is reporting that Ben Queen the creator of NBC’s ‘A to Z’ along with Warner Bros. TV, has landed a pilot deal with NBC to create Powerless. The new show follows employees at “one of the worst insurance companies in America” – it just so happens that this “America” also exists in the DC Comics Universe. Word is that the show will focus less on the superheroes and more on the employees and their day-to-day lives.

NBC

I guess this makes sense since there are thousands of other comic book movies, TV shows and web series.

No one with a sense of humor can resist a joke about the planet Uranus, because with a name like that, it’s just asking to be mocked. And when you work in local news, making jokes is a great way to pass time between telling boring stories.

This local news anchor was actually reporting on legitimate space news, growing fresh food in the International Space Station. Once the story was over, her colleague chimed in with a joke about “food on Uranus.”

Disney Announces New ‘Star Wars IX’ Director

0

Disney and Lucasfilm are always looking for the hottest young directors for their Star Wars movies. And yesterday, the billion dollar production companies announced Colin Trevorrow, the director of ‘Jurassic World’ will direct Star Wars: Episode IX.

Disney made the announcement at D23 Saturday but, the news should come as a surprise. ‘Jurassic World’ was a major hit for Universal when it opened earlier this year. ‘Jurassic World’ broke records for the biggest domestic opening of all time. It was became the fastest movie in history to make $1 billion globally. The Chris-Pratt movie has so far earned $1.6 billion worldwide so far.

Trevorrow doesn’t really have a much of a resume. Prior to the 2012 comedy ‘Safety Not Guaranteed’ he only directed a shrot film. He’s already stated that he would not be returning for the next Jurassic World movie, and is currently set to direct the upcoming movie ‘Book of Henry’.

Disney has been keeping an eye out for young talented directors to join the ‘Star Wars’ universie. So far, Disney has picked up J.J. Abrams, Rian Johnson and now Colin Trevorrow.

Initially, ‘Fantastic Four’ director, Josh Trank, was to direct a Star Wars movie but, as reports of Trank’s “erratic” behavior, Disney pulled the plug on the deal.

Project Casting previously announced that Lego Movie directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller are going to film a Han Solo stand-alone film.
