You may have not known this but, Netflix has secret category codes.
Added by Netflix engineers, these Netflix secret category codes can help you narrow down your streaming choices. From war movies, to Brazilian dramas, here is how to break the Netflix secret category codes.
Whenever you loop up a gener on the NEtflix website it gives you a URL that looks similar to www.netflix.com/browse/genre/6839 however, if you play around with that number you can find some secret categories. As Gizmodo pointed out, you can find a wide array movies including “visually striking films for ages 5-7? Or period pieces? We’ve found two unofficial lists online, here and here.”
While all of these secret category codes don’t work, it’s fun to find secrete movies that may have passed you by on Netflix.
via Gizmodo.com
If you have a few hours you can build up your own list of sub-genres by changing the number at the end of the given URL. If you are interested in how Netflix organizes its content and what these categories are for, read this Atlantic article where Alexis Madrigal broke the news.

Johnny Depp shares how he gets into character for every movie and some amazing advice for aspiring actors.
Johnny Depp is one of Hollywood’s biggest and highest paid actors in Hollywood. With each and every role the actor pushes the boundaries on acting, realism and storytelling. In a recent interview with Variety, the Black Mass actor discussed his acting techniques, styles and events that helped him shape the actor for a role that many are saying will land Depp an Academy Award.
JStone / Shutterstock.com
During the interview with Variety, Depp describes what it was like acting in the movie and saying that it was difficult to seperate himself from the character when filming was over. “Because you’re playing the guy from morning to night every day for a certain length of time, months and months, they do seep into you. That’s not to say that you’re no longer you. But being someone more than you’re yourself in a day, there’s no other way that it can happen without the character seeping into you a bit. I always have a decompression period at the end of a film. Sometimes it joyful, because you’re just happy to be done. Or it can be melancholy. I remember the last day of “Edward Scissorhands,” looking at him and being him and knowing I would never see him again. It really got me.”
I remember the last day of “Edward Scissorhands,” looking at him and being him and knowing I would never see him again. It really got me.”
But, Depp also shared acting advice saying how he commits wholeheartedly to a role even though he knows he will open to criticism. “I know sometimes (with roles) people will watch it and say, “That’s just madness, he’s just playing some weirdo or he’s painted his face again.” But these are the characters that I see, it’s how I see them. And if you feel it’s the right thing to do for the character and you stick to your guns, no matter what, at least you tried something. Even if it’s an absolute failure. So I feel really good about my characters in the sense that I at least tried something. If it works, great. If it doesn’t work, I tried.”
“If it works, great. If it doesn’t work, I tried.”
Being Mary Jane season 4 is coming soon. After filming in Atlanta, Georgia for the past three years, it looks like Atlanta has another major TV show heading back to the ATL.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, BET has renewed Gabrielle Union’s hit TV series for a fourth season. In addition, BET’s Being Mary Janewill film in Atlanta later on this year.
The series was extremely popular on BET since it first debuted in2 013. For it’s entire three year run, Being Mary Jane was ranked as the number one scripted series among African American audiences. In fact, the most recent season averaged 2.54 million viewers, which makes it one of the top 5 cable TV shows in the key demographic.
However, the show’s creator, showrunner, and director, Salim Akil and Mara Brock Akil signed a major deal with Warner Bros. Television in May which delayed the renewal of Being Mary Jane. Consequently, it is unclear who is going to step in and take over Being Mary Jane.
Being Mary Jane will join Zoe Ever Afterand Real Husbands of Hollywood as the third scripted series on BET.

Saved By the Bell Lark Voorhies says she is no longer black after posting a photo with lighter skin.
The actress that played Lisa Turtle on Saved By the Bell, Lark Voorhies, is apparently no longer an African American. In fact, she’s no longer brown. The former Saved By The Bell star allegedly underwent a skin bleaching process and dyed her hair beach blonde.
A photo posted by Lark Voorhies (@thelarkvoorhies) on
In the new photo caption, she wrote, “No, I am not black. I am American! I was born in America. I was not born in Africa, therefore I am not african. Africans are not african-americans! LV”
In the past, Lark’s mother has claimed her daughter suffers from bipolar disorder.
But, it is important to point out that Lark Voorhies is not the only actress saying they are no longer black. In fact, Raven Symone and Taye Diggs both said they don’t identify with being black.

HBO has just announced their plans to end Girls after season 6.
According to reports, the end of Girls is in sight. Lena Dunham and Judd Apatow’s comedy will end their run after season six.
This news comes after Lena Dunham has just finished filming her fifth season and commented on the future of Girls. “I think America has a tendency to push shows past their due dates,” Dunham said early last year. “I like the British model – in and out.”
Dunham also explained that she thought about the series finale a long time ago. “We spent a lot of time talking about where these girls will end up. We definitely have a distinct idea of where we want to see them. I even sometimes focus on this final image that I see, but between now and then, anything can happen.”
The show premiered in 2012 and launched the career of Lena Dunham into super-stardom, becoming known as the talented creator, actor, and writer of her generation. Though Girls hasn’t had very many viewers, the show has brought attention to HBO whose goal is to bring subscribers and not viewers.
In 2012, Girls was nominated for several Emmys. In fact, the series won for best comedy and actress Lena Dunham won a Golden Globe in 2013, since then Adam Driver and Lena Dunham have been nominated for several awards.
But, what will happen to Lena Dunham? Well, according to Variety, Dunham could still work with BO, as she has a new TV pilot in development. The TV pilot, which filmed in NYC late last year, will be directed by Dunham and executive produced by the team behind Girls. Max, is a single camera series that centers around the struggles of women in the second wave feminism focusing particularly on Maxine Woodroof, an ambitious writer played by Lisa Joyce. According to Deadline, “Maxine is an enthusiastic, if misguided, low-level magazine employee who stumbles into the forefront of a civil rights movement both she and the world may not be ready for.”

Background actors are pissed with Matt Damon after ‘Bourne 5‘ latest casting call.
After we broke the news that Matt Damon’s new movie Bourne 5 wasn’t going to pay background extras to work on several scenes filming in Las Vegas, the Internet went wild. Fans and background actors have bashed the latest production calling for Matt Damon to forgo his pay on Bourne 5 and use it to pay for the background actors in the movie.

Some people found it hard to believe, while others bashed the film industry for always putting background extras at the bottom of the totem pole.
Here’s a brief look at some of the responses to the latest Bourne 5 casting call:
It’s interesting to point out that Matt Damon and Ben Affleck both started out as background extras in the movie ‘Field of Dreams’.
Details surrounding the new Bourne 5movie have not been released however, Matt Damon did share details about Bourne 5. “There’s been the financial collapse, the great recession, all these issues of cyberwarfare and civil liberties,” he told EW. “We find him in a dark and tortured place.”

Samuel L. Jackson just bashed the latest Star Wars movie.
Despite breaking box office records nearly every day this week, inspiring fans to see it several times, and earning nearly a 100% positive reviews, and now that the initial hype is over, Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been found to become the center of controversy.
Samuel L. Jackson played Jedi Master Mace Windu in several Star Wars movies and when he sat down with Peter Travers to talk about his new movie The Hateful Eight, Quentin Tarantino’s Western, the subject of Star Wars popped up. When asked about his thoughts on the new movie, Jackson was clearly diplomatic in his word choice but, he said: “I think the kids need to go to lightsaber fight school, but… that’s just me thinking out. They got time to get better.”
But, Samuel L. Jackson is not alone. Many people believed the light saber fights in George Lucas movies were more intense and featured more skill. While Jackson is right about the lack of lightsaber action, there is a good reason for the differences.
During the time of the prequels, Jedis were everywhere and they trained in the ways of using the Force. By the time we saw any of them fighting, they have been using lightsabers for nearly their entire life.
While in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Rey obviously had some combat skill of her own, but lacked any real training.
While we don’t know exactly what to expect from Star Wars moving forward, now that Rey has found Luke Skywalker, many assume that she’ll wind up getting some additional training with a lightsaber, among other things. So she most likely will essentially go back to lightsaber school.

Jennifer Lawrence tells all in a new interview with Glamour magazine.
Jennifer Lawrence is everyone’s favorite actress. The highest paid actress in Hollywood is beloved for her acting skills, her trips down the red carpets, and her open discussion of smoking weed before the Oscars.
For her new cover of Glamour, the Hunger Games actress definitely had the charm and humor turned up to the max. Here are her top 6 quotes from that interview:
On her style:
“‘Slutty power lesbian.’ That is literally what I say to a stylist. [Laughs.] I don’t know if that’s offensive…. You don’t see me as a slutty power lesbian on the red carpet a lot, because I’m embodying the Dior woman, which is an honor.”
Why she’s not on Social Media:
“Because then that’s more exposure — that’s just more me. I want less me. I want people to have less me.”
“Because then that’s more exposure — that’s just more me. I want less me. I want people to have less me.”
On her “lumps”:
“But [also] I’ve got tits and an ass. And there are things that are made for skinny people — like a lot of embroidery, or it covers a lot—and those make me look fat. I have to show the lumps. If you have boobs, you have to show, like, ‘These are boobs. This isn’t cellulite.’ [Laughs.] Not that there’s anything wrong with that.”
Debby Wong / Shutterstock.com
About Emma and Adele:
“I love Emma. She cracks me up; she’s so ‘theater.’ She’s so adorable. And Adele and I met, like, a year or so ago. Adele and I are a bit harsher; Emma’s never had a bad thought about anybody in her life. It’s so weird; I don’t like new people. But these two women—and Amy — they’re really lovely.”
“I don’t feel like I’m misunderstood. I feel like I’m over-paid-attention-to. I’m not trying to be a GIF. I’m not trying to be a picked-up-on-Twitter quote. All I’m trying to do is act.”
If she thinks she is misunderstood:
“I don’t feel like I’m misunderstood. I feel like I’m over-paid-attention-to. I’m not trying to be a GIF. I’m not trying to be a picked-up-on-Twitter quote. All I’m trying to do is act. And I have to promote these movies. And I am, at the end of the day, I guess, a f—king lunatic. So if you record what I’m saying, it’s gonna be goofy.”
On her life with Amy Schumer:
“Amy’s always wanted to live on Martha’s Vineyard, and we saw this house, and we’re like, ‘This is where we’re gonna Grey Gardens, and we’re gonna grow old and crazy together.’ That’s our life plan.”

It’s official: Disney has confirmed Indiana Jones 5.
Only a few days into 2016 and we have some huge movie news: Disney has confirmed a 5th Indiana Jones movie. Bob Iger, the Walt Disney Company chairman and CEO, mentioned that the movie is happening during an interview with Bloomberg.
We all know that Disney acquired Lucasfilm a few years ago for a few billion dollars, which includes Lucasfilm’s intellectual property -things like, Star Wars and Indiana Jones. Iger spoke about the huge success of the recent Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and how that opened up the possibility of several more sequels. Especially one for “Indiana Jones, by the way, which will be coming.”
There have been plenty of rumors surrounding the movie up to this point. Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn has indicated his support reviving the film. And Director Steven Spielberg has said he’d like to keep the series going with Harrison Ford.
“As long as there’s more adventures out there, I’ve got a bullwhip, a fedora, a leather jacket and a man on a horse who knows how to get the job done,” Spielberg told Screen International. He made sure to add that it’s “certainly not [his] intention to ever have another actor step into [Harrison Ford’s] shoes in the way there have been many actors that have played Spider-Man or Batman.”
For whatever reason Harrison Ford doesnt return for the rol, Chris Pratt has been rumored to star in the upcoming feature film. Nothing has been confirmed. The film would not be the same without the original Indiana JOnes himself, but Chris Pratt sounds like a pretty good match for the role. Especially since he led Guardians of the Galaxy, Jurassic World and The LEGO Movie.
But, this begs the question, is Disney going to bring Shia LaBeouf back?
