Indie TV pilot is now casting lead roles in Atlanta, Georgia.

Several background extra reveal the secrets of what it’s like to work on set.
There are hundreds or even thousand of background extras that make a movie or TV show come alive. But, what is it like to work as a background extra? Well on /r/AskReddit several background extras shared their stories about working on set of your favorite TV shows and movies and it’s pretty interesting.
AfroMidgets described what it was like working on set of the hit movie ’42’. Saying “I was in one baseball scenes for 42 and when they say action you cheer and cheer until you hear ‘cut’. It’s fun the first few times but then it gets stale really quickly and they try to do whatever they can to get you excited again.” AfroMidgets added “Also, you run into people who are very pretentious and call themselves ‘Background Artists’ who “breathe life into the scene”.”
But it’s not all peaches and another person explained what it’s like working on set as:
Wait around, wait around, wait, wait, maybe do something. Nope. Wait.
You are prisoner to the production assistants. Is that a movie star?
Nope stand in. Wait. Do something. Wait. End of day.
Another background actor worked on set of Wayne’s World II and he found that Mike Meyers was a jerk.
Was an extra in Wayne’s World II and spent an entire early morning through late night at the LA Forum filming the Aerosmith concert scene. Lots of waiting around.. Fantastic craft services.. And was kind of neat getting a chance to see, meet, talk to Dana Carvey. Mike Myers, however, just seemed like a dick.
Want to know what it’s like to work on set in Australia? One Australian reveals what it’s like to work as a background extra “Down Under.”
I’ve had small walk on parts and extra work on productions here in Australia. You get there in the morning sit in the big eating area, get put into make up and then costume. Then you go back to sitting there in the eating area, and try to make small talk with all the other extras and bit part people. Then you wait some more, then in the arvo you might get called to set. This is kind of cool, as you can watch them filming stuff. But then you wait just off set, then usually around four to five hours after you turned up originally, they bring you on set proper. You might run the scene a few times for blocking and lines, then they film it.
The you go back to the costume and change, the 1ST AD gets you to sign out and that’s it. Oh they give you make up wipes to take with you
Film making is super boring. Though they feed you really well.

Japan is hoping to hire six full-time ninjas to promote tourism to the region and educate the public about what being a martial artist is really about.
The BBC reports that the jobs are available to anyone older than 18 and willing to live like a ninja. Of course, anyone applying doesn’t just have to have ninjas, but must be able to show off their physical fitness and acrobatic skills.
The pay comes to about $1,600 a month and the job includes both public displays of skill and power as well as radio and television work. Oh, and also the excitement of telling people that you’re a full-time ninja employed by the government.
Ideal candidates should “enjoy being under the spotlight even though he or she is a secretive ninja,” Satoshi Adachi of the prefecture’s tourism promotion unit, told AFP.
As the troupe will sometimes perform in English, Japanese language skills are preferred rather than essential, Mr. Adachi said, although a passion for history and tourism is a requirement.
Applications closes March 22nd and the chosen ninjas are expected to start performing at the end of April. Anyone applying should know that a big part of the position is correcting the public’s misconceptions about ninjas.

Casting director reveals the creepy text messages from an “aspiring” actor.
Everyone always asks ‘what’s the key to getting cast?’ While that is a mixture of hard work, dedication and luck, there are a few things you should not do.
Well, one casting director decided to share what one actor decided to do to try and get cast on an episode of “Arrow” and needless to say it was completely creepy.
This is just so cringe worthy and so creepy in so many ways…

Just remember, it’s never a good idea to stalk a casting director, producer, or the director for a job. It’s pretty damn creepy.

While it was never outright stated in the 1990’s hit TV show that Xena:Warrior Princess was gay, but there was plenty of hints and clues that was given to those who watched the show religiously. Well, in the new Xena reboot she will definitely be gay.
Fans pretty much concluded Xena was gay on their own. For example, just check out Gabrielle and Xena’s most intimate moments below:
And in a 2003 interview, Lawless described Xena as “definitely” gay: “There was always a ‘Well, she might be or she might not be’ but when there was that drip of water passing between their lips in the very final scene, that cemented it for me,” says Lawless. “Now it wasn’t just that Xena was bisexual and kinda liked her gal pal and they kind of fooled around sometimes, it was ‘Nope, they’re married, man.’”
The second time around, there won’t be any subtle clues about Xena’s sexuality and relationship with her partner Gabrielle. Xena will definitely be openly gay in the series, according to the show’s executive producer Javier Grillo-Marxuach.
“There is no reason to bring back Xena if it is not there for the purpose of fully exploring a relationship that could only be shown subtextually [sic] in first-run syndication in the 1990s,” Javier Grillo-Marxuach wrote in a Tumblr response. “It will also express my view of the world—which is only further informed by what is happening right now—and is not too difficult to know what that is if you do some digging.”

Oprah Winfrey’s new show Queen Sugaris now casting migrant workers in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Caballero Casting is looking for Hispanic men to play migrant workers on the new OWN series Queen Sugar in New Orleans, Louisiana. Filming will take place in March.
