Jesse Eisenberg explains why he started acting and how he uses his anxiety on screen.

Jesse Eisenberg is probably most known for playing Mark Zuckerberg in the hit movie Social Network and most recently, playing Lex Luthor in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, but did you know Eisenberg suffers from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder?

In a recent interview with The Daily Beast, Jesse Eisenberg gave intimate details behind his acting process and how why he started acting in the first place. Eisenberg explains that he suffered from anxiety as a kid and struggled through school until he discovered acting, which gave him a more structured way to interact with other kids. That intense anxiety still persists in his life and he revealed he still suffers from OCD, and occasionally insomnia. However, Eisenberg reveals he uses the anxiety to his advantage.

“This is just the nature of my mind mixed with live theatre. But that’s also what makes it really exciting; you know, I discovered that I do my best when I’m worried about something. This is not a very healthy way to live necessarily, but it’s a nice rubric for me to know when I’m doing something that’s worthwhile; that means I get worried about it, it means I’m scared, it means I don’t feel like I’ve perfected it yet.”

When it comes to acting, Eisenberg says he prefers to play the bad guy and that he relates to evil people, because he can relate to them. “I’m not really in a position in my life where people are really horrible to me. I’m a kind of recognizable movie actor so just by virtue of that people seem to be kind of nicer to me,” he said. “Maybe because I don’t have that feeling of being oppressed in some way, maybe that’s why I don’t see people who are seen as oppressors as pure evil, because—I’m not a victim.”

Taylor Schilling reveals an Orange is the New Black fan followed her into a bathroom

Netflix’s ability to binge watch an entire season of a TV show can quickly make someone a die-hard fan in a matter of a few episodes. And one of the best shows to binge watch on the streaming platform is Orange is the New Black, a prison dramedy that focuses on the life and situations inside an all female-prison. The show has earned several acting awards and has catapulted the show’s leading lady, Taylor Schilling (Piper Chapman) to A-list status in Hollywood, which may be a gift and a curse for Schilling.

According to reports, the 31-year-old actress revealed that she doesn’t consider herself a celebrity but, realized that she may have to start hiring security guards. “In Spain recently, I was out at dinner and went to the loo and this woman knocked on the door,” Taylor recalled to U.K. Cosmopolitan magazine. “I was like, ‘I’ll be straight out.’ And she said, ‘No, no, I just want a photograph.’ She just wanted me to know she was there waiting!”

The actress revealed how her life has changed since the Netflix series premiered. She explains that she was broke and worked as a nanny to pay for her college classes at Fordham University in New York, where she studied drama. “I was so poor,” she sighed. “My agent once gave me money. I had zero dollars. Boxes of off-brand cornflakes were my diet.”

Orange is the new black

Taylor explains that she’s now in a comfortable position and her work allows her to travel around the world. But, her only complaint is the lack of sleep. “All cognitive faculties are shut down,” she said of her tiredness. “I can only describe it as (being like) a three-year-old trying to articulate themselves, but they don’t have it (the words). And it’s just like… meltdown.”

Snoop Dogg Tells Fans to Boycott ‘Roots’: “I’m sick of this S**T.

Snoop Dogg is calling for his fans to boycott the remake of the slave drama Roots, arguing that he is “sick” of all of the slave dramas.

The remake of the historical miniseries, which is based on Alex Haley’s 1976 book, Roots: The Saga of an American Family, premiered on Monday on the U.S. History Channel on Memorial Day, but Snoop Dogg will not be watching the series.

IN a video posted on Instagram, Snoop urges filmmakers, producers and actors to create new material about the success of African Americans instead of reminding audiences about their troubled past. “No disrespect but I can’t watch no motherf**king black movies where **** get dogged out – 12 Years A Slave, Roots, Underground, I can’t watch none of that s**t,” he argued.

“I’m sick of this s**t. How the f**k they gonna put Roots on on Memorial Day? They just gonna keep beatin’ that s**t in our heads in how they did us, huh?” Snoop fumed. “I mean, I don’t understand it, man. They just wanna keep showing the abuse that we took hundreds and hundreds of years ago.”

Snoop Dogg continued, “But guess what? We’re taking the same abuse. Think about that part. When y’all gonna make a motherf**king series about the success that black folks was having? The only success we have is Roots and 12 Years A Slave and s**t like that, huh? F**k y’all.”

Snoop then told his followers to boycott the new Roots TV show. “I ain’t watchin’ that s**t (sic),” he said. “I advise you motherf**king real n**gas like myself, f**k them television shows. Let’s create our own s**t based on today, how we live and how we inspire people today. Black is what’s real. F**k that old s**t.”

This is not the first time Snoop Dogg talked about racial issues in the entertainment industry. Earlier this year, Snoop Dogg called for a boycott of the Oscars over the lack of non-white nominees.

Roots features Laurence Fishbourne, Forest Whitaker, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Anna Paquin, Anika Noni Rose, Malachi Kirby, and rapper/actor T.I. The original 1977 series won Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe and a Peabody Award, and spawned two sequels. The finale is still the third highest-rated U.S. TV show in TV history.

Johnny Depp’s Daughter Defends Her Father

After allegations of domestic abuse, Johnny Depp’s daughter, Lily-Rose Depp is now defending her father.

According to reports, Lily-Rose has come forward to support Johnny Depp against allegations of violence and abuse from his wife, Amber Heard. And while the accusations are disturbing, and few people have step forward saying the actor is even able to lay a hand on anyone. This includes Johnny Depp’s own daughter. Lily-Rose Depp posted several photos on her Instagram in support of her dad and bashed Amber Heard.

The caption reads:

My dad is the sweetest most loving person I know, he’s been nothing but a wonderful father to my little brother and I, and everyone who knows him would say the same


Unfortunately for Johnny Depp, Lily-Rose’s character references may not be able to save Johnny Depp’s acting career whose last movie flopped in the box office.

Director Bashes Keira Knightley’s Acting Skills

Director John Carney bashes Keira Knightley’s acting in Begin Again.

Rarely do you ever hear a director bash an actor’s acting process, especially after they have worked together. However, writer-director John Carney didn’t hold back his words when he recalled working with Keira Knightley on the 2014 movie Begin Again. 

Keira Knightley is one of Hollywood’s biggest actresses. She is known for her roles in Pirates of the Caribbean, The Imitation Game and Pride & Prejudice. You would assume she would be an amazing actress. But, one director thinks she’s a horrible actress.

“I’ll never make a film with supermodels again,” the Irish director told the UK’s Independent in a recent interview, saying the model turned actress was a distraction on set.

He went on to criticize the two-time Oscar nominee’s acting skills. “I don’t want to rubbish Keira, but you know it’s hard being a film actor and it requires a certain level of honesty and self-analysis that I don’t think she’s ready for yet and I certainly don’t think she was ready for on that film,” Carney said.

Carney is currently promoting his new movie musical Sing Street, which is in select theaters. During the interview he said Knightely became “disenchanted” during the production of Begin Again. 

“…Not that I didn’t enjoy ‘Begin Again,’ but Keira has an entourage that follow her everywhere so it’s very hard to get any real work done,” he said, adding that he yearned to return to Ireland to “make films that nobody cared about.”

According to Carney, Knightley’s “real problem” was that she did not know how to sing or play guitar. “It’s very hard to make music seem real if it’s not with musicians. And I think the audience struggled a little bit with that in ‘Begin Again.’”

Carney did say he loved working with Mark Ruffalo calling the actor “fantastic” and said Adam Levine was “a joy to work with.”

But he also took poked fun at Knightley: “Keira’s thing is to hide who you are and I don’t think you can be an actor and do that… It’s not like I hate the Hollywood thing but I like to work with curious, proper film actors as opposed to movie stars.”

Why Hollywood May Start Turning Their Back on Johnny Depp

Johnny Depp’s Alice Through The Looking Glass just flopped in the box office and it may be the end of the A-list actor’s acting career.

Prior to the Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s divorce controversy, Disney’s Alice Through The Looking Glass was expected to be a hit movie in the box office. However, the latest Alice in Wonderland movie flopped in the box office which has many people asking the question: Is Johnny Depp’s acting career over?

According to reports, Alice Through The Looking Glass was expected to earn $116 million dollars in the box office but, the Johnny Depp flick is only expected to earn only $35 million in the box office over the long weekend, which is a decline of about 70%.

The Hollywood Reporter points out that the bad numbers maybe directly correlated with Amber Heard’s divorce.

Box-office observers attributed the movie’s weak performance on opening day more to bad notices rather than to the headlines surrounding Depp, but said that if estimates kept falling off throughout the weekend, it indeed meant the news about the actor was starting to have a chilling effect.

And if this divorce continues to escalate in the press, it may just ruin Johnny Depp’s acting career.

 “These allegations, if true, pose a serious threat to the box-office longevity of Johnny Depp. Obviously time heals all wounds, but this is certainly having a toll on Depp and Alice,” says analyst Jeff Bock. “‘Alice in Blunderland’ is more like it.”

This all started after Amber Heard filed a restraining order after alleging Depp assaulted her. Heard claims Johnny Depp abused her throughout the course of their relationship in a court petition she filed on Friday, when she was granted a temporary restraining order against her estranged husband.

“During the entirety of our relationship, Johnny has been verbally and physically abusive to me,” Heard, 30, alleges in court documents revealed by ET. “I endured excessive emotional, verbal and physical abuse from Johnny, which has included angry, hostile, humiliating and threatening assaults to me whenever I questioned his authority or disagreed with him.”

According to ET documents, Amber Heard claims in the filing that the 52-year-old actor has issues with drugs and abuses alcohol.

“Johnny has a long-held and widely-acknowledged public and private history of drug and alcohol abuse. He has a short fuse.” She adds, “He is often paranoid and his temper is exceptionally scary for me as it has proven many times to be physically dangerous and/or life threatening to me.”

Amber Heard continues: “Johnny[‘s] relationship with reality oscillates, depending upon his interaction with alcohol and drugs,” it continues. “As Johnny’s paranoia, delusions and aggression increased throughout our relationship, so has my awareness of his continued substance abuse.”

Amber Heard alleges her last physical confrontation with Johnny Depp happened this past Saturday and she alleges Depp threw a cell phone at her causing her to get a bruise near her eye. “He was inebriated and high,” Heard claims in the filing.

“Johnny then grabbed the cell phone, wound up his arm like a baseball pitcher and threw the cell phone at me striking my cheek and eye with great force,” Heard claims. “He then forceably pulled back my hair as I attempted to stand from the sofa … Johnny continued screaming at me, pulling my hair, striking me and violently grabbing my face.”

Amber Heard says she lives in “fear that Johnny will return to the residence unannounced to terrorize me, physically and emotionally,” according to the documents.

However, it’s important to point out that in 2010, Alice in Wonderland earned $1.025 billion for Disney. But, since then, Johnny Depp has not been able to pull in big audiences to the theaters in a very long time. In fact, outside of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011) and mob pic Black Mass (2015). Depp has suffered several box office disasters, including Dark Shadows (2012), The Lone Ranger (2013), Transcendence (2014) and Mortdecai (2015).

Is Johnny Depp’s acting career over? It may be too soon to tell but, Depp is definitely not having a good Memorial Day weekend.

Steven Spielberg’s new movie is looking for artists to work on the new movie.

Do you want to work with Steven Spielberg? Well, the producers and creative team behind Spielberg’s new movie, Ready Player One, is now hiring artists to design graphics for the new movie.

According to reports, Ernest Cline’s novel about a virtual reality game embedded within an 1980s pop culture references is ramping up production after casting directors hold a worldwide casting call for the lead roles in the movie. Now Cline is inviting artists to create and submit their own 3-D avatar renderings for potential use in the film.

Producers over at Warner Bros., the studio behind the movie, will choose up to five winners whose work may appear in Ready Player One. Read the contest rules for details about the submission requirements, and note that the top five artists selected will receive exposure via Ready Player One’s marketing and social media campaigns, as well as $1,000 in exchange for assignment of all rights.

Jackie Chan Nearly Drowns On Set of His New Movie

Jackie Chan reveals he nearly died on set of Skiptrace.

Jackie Chan is the king of action movies. By performing his own stunts, Chan blurs the line between reality and fiction. However, Jackie Chan may want to consider hiring a stunt double as he nearly drowned on set of Skiptrace. 

According to reports, Jackie Chan was performing a stunt on a raft when the raft overturned him and the film crew was unable to get to him. The actor said he only managed to save himself when the water turned the raft back over. “It was horrifying.”

It’s important to point out that in 2014, a cinematographer was killed on thes ame production when a crew boat capsized and the filmmaker was unable to swim to safety.

Jackie Chan is no stranger to acrobatics. He has taken considerable risks throughout his acting career creating highly entertaining action sequences, often involving death-defying stunts and comedic fight scenes. In fact, on set of Armor of God in 1986, Jackie Chan performed a stunt that involved leaping from a tree to a ledge. Unfortunately, the stunt went wrong and the actor cracked his skull open and required emergency surgery.

James Franco’s new HBO series The Deuce is looking for actors, models, and talent to work on an episode filming in New York City. Casting directors are looking for Asian actors to play Korean male waiters. Filming will take place between June 9th through June 15th in NYC.

In addition, casting directors are looking for “unattractive” guys to play gay bar patrons for a scene filming on June 22nd in NYC.

Also, producers are looking for men and women to work on a nude photo shoot for the HBO series. Photos will be polaroids or stills that will be used in the show for props or set dressing purposes. Talents must feel comfortable with appearing fully nude in the photos. The photo shoot is scheduled for June 9th in New York City.

Denzel Washington’s new movie Fences is now casting little league teams and high school marching bands in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to work on a scene in his new movie. Filming will take place in on June 14th.

About Fences:

Fences is the story about a former baseball athlete who struggles to provide for his family as a trash collector in the 1950s Pittsburgh after being denied to join the Major Leagues due to being African American. The original movie took place in 1987 with James Earl Jones as the lead role. Denzel Washington won a Tony in 2010 alongside Viola Davis. Denzel Washington will star alongside Viola Davis in the HBO film adaptation.
