ABC’s Quantico season 2is now casting extras in New York City

ABC’s Quantico is now casting actors, models, and talent to work on scenes filming on July 12th in New York City. Producers are looking for same sex kissing couples and attractive business types for a club and bar scene in NYC. PRoducers are looking for talents between the ages of 25 to 45 years old in the scene.

About Quantico:

This drama from executive producers Josh Safran and Mark Gordon explores the lives of young FBI recruits who have come to the Quantico base in Virginia for 21 weeks of training to become special agents. The recruits have been thoroughly vetted and are considered the best and the brightest — but each one possesses secrets, including hidden reasons for enlisting. One recruit is harboring the biggest secret of all, and ends up being suspected of masterminding the biggest and most deadly attack on U.S. soil since 9/11.

Kevin Hart shares amazing advice for aspiring comedians and actors.

While everyone knows who Kevin Hart is now, he has been working in the film industry and comedy circuit for years before ever making it big. In a recent interview, Hart lamented his thoughts on his acting career and comedic career with The Hollywood Reporter. 

Hart revealed some inspiring and powerful acting advice for aspiring comedic actors in the film industry. He explains that his best advice is to be yourself.

“A lot of people want to get into comedy and talk about it, but you don’t realize the first step to getting into comedy is actually going to do it,” he said. “You can’t do things that you don’t put actions behind. So sit down, take a piece of paper, write out your thoughts and then go to an amateur night and try them. If it doesn’t go well, see what worked, what didn’t work and go back and try it again. But don’t be a talker, be a doer.”

Hart goes on to explain what it was like to work with Dwayne Johnson saying, “he’s a positive guy that wants to see good for people. I’m the same, man. We believe in love, we believe in laughter, and we believe in living right. When you find yourself with a person like that, that attitude becomes contagious, and together, you spread a lot of that positive energy. That’s what we’ve done.”

‘Friends’ Fans Bash This Background Extra Acting Skills [VIDEO]

Everyone is trying to figure out what this Friends background extra is chewing on.

On Wednesday, comedian Nick Turner noticed something peculiar going on with one of the background extras in an episode of Friends. The background acting in the scene probably hits an all time low.

After Nick Turner posted this photo on the video on Twitter, fans shared their thoughts on the background extra.

I have worked on several TV shows and movies filmed in Atlanta, Georgia over the past 5 years as a background extra. And one of the most common things you have to do as a background extra is to pretend to eat or drink for hours as the actors go through their lines. But, did you know those background extras are not actually eating any food at all? They are just moving their mouth up and down. So, for hours I would move my mouth up and down like I’m eating a delicious sandwich when I was secretly starving waiting to run to the crafty table. Needless to say, after seeing the cast screw up their lines for hours, starving on the inside while I drink from an empty and watching bad acting tends to get contagious.

Louisiana Film Industry is Down 90%

Louisiana’s film industry hits rock bottom as 90% of productions move to Georgia.

Louisiana’s film industry is down 90 percent as film crew workers, actors, models, and talent move to Atlanta, Georgia.

After getting rid of the film tax credits in Louisiana their film industry has flopped harder than a Brendan Fraser movie. Now, crew workers are picking up their bags and moving to Atlanta, Georgia in hopes of landing a job in Atlanta’s thriving film industry. In fact, according to Ellie Hensley, film business in Louisiana is down 90%.

Louisiana previously offered up to 30% production tax credits. But when legislators found that the tax credits had cost the state $1.4 billion dollars over the past eight years and studies showed that the money was not being reinvested into the community, legislators capped the program to only $180 million a year.

North Carolina did the same thing last year and their film industry has came to a complete stand still with only two minor productions filming at a time.

Despite a major push to end Georgia’s film tax program, Georgia’s film industry is booming with 33 movies and TV shows currently filming this month. And Marvel unofficially calling Atlanta their primary filming location for all future movies.

STUDY: 75 Percent of Couples Say Binge-Watching Helped Their Relationship

Couples that watch TV together report a stronger relationship.

The couple that binge-watches together, stays together. According to a new study, which was first reported by TheWrap, shows how watching TV can have a serious impact on your relationship.

Propeller Insights and Xfinity surveyed 1,935 adults 25-49 about their interactions over television and found the following stats (From TheWrap):

  • 66% of couples say watching TV together has strengthened their relationship; for millennial couples, it’s almost 75%
  • 55% of parents have put their kids to bed earlier or later so they could watch their favorite TV show together
  • Almost 30% of couples have canceled a social engagement to watch their favorite TV show
  • 50% of couples admit to “TV Cheating”, or watching without their partner
  • About 30% of single millennials have chosen not to date someone based off of their TV viewing preferences

Researchers Discover When Robert De Niro ‘Stopped Caring’

Researchers are trying to figure out when Robert DeNiro “stopped caring”.

Robert De Niro is considered one of the best actors in the film industry. His film credits include Mean Streets, The Godfather Part II, Taxi Driver,The Deer Hunter, Raging Bull, The King of Comedy, Brazil, Goodfellas, and Cape Fear, which are some of the best movies in the last 50 years. But, recently Robert DeNiro’s movie choices have taken a bit of a noise dive.

So researchers are trying to figure out when did Robert De Niro stop giving a ****. Using Rotten Tomatoes scores , Twitter user @chapmangamo says he has discovered the “exact moment that Robert De Niro stopped caring.”

According to this chart, De Niro gave up in 2002, when the Eddie Murphy buddy-cop comedy Showtime, City By the Sea, and Analyze This sequel Analyze That came out.

Many people argue that Robert De Niro’s age is forcing him to work on really bad movies. Either way, let’s hope his new movie with Martin Scorsese is better than all of our expectations.

Toronto International Film Festival is partnering with Instagram for a short film contest

Are you an aspiring filmmaker, actor, model, or producer? If so, here’s your chance to showcase your filmmaking skills and put your abilities to the test in a new Instagram Short Film Festival competition.

The Toronto International Film Festival is partnering with Instagram to launch a digital short film competition. The TIFFxInstagram Shorts Festival will showcase new and established filmmakers from around the world. TIFF is asking filmmakers to upload original 60-seconds-or-fewer film shorts, using Instagram. TIFF judges will select 30 finalsts to be showcased on the film festival’s website and an Instagram channel in August before a six-person jury selects a Judge’s Choice award.

The jury includes the director of Selma Ava DuVernay, Mommy filmmaker Xavier Dolan, music video director Nabil Elderkin, and stop-motion animation artist Rachel Ryle. Online audiences will also have the chance to vote with likes on Instagram to select a Fan Favorite short film.

“Our collaboration with Instagram is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the work of filmmakers from all over the world and discover up-and-coming talent through the world’s largest creative digital community, showcased by the world’s largest public film festival,” TIFF director and CEO Piers Handling said Wednesday in a statement.

#TIFFxInstagram Shorts Festival is a new digital shorts competition from @tiff_net and @instagram. We’re calling all aspiring and established filmmakers from around the globe to share their original works. To submit your short: 1. Upload to Instagram before July 20th 2.
