‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Atlanta Casting Call for Security Guards
Spider-Man: Homecoming is now casting security guards in Atlanta, Georgia.
Tammy Smith Casting, the official extras casting director behind Spider-Man: Homecoming, is now casting male actors to play security guards, police officers or military officials for an upcoming scene. Producers are looking for guys ages 25 to 40 to work on the scene. Filming will take place on August 1st and August 2nd.

Heath Ledger’s Father Reveals His Son’s Last Words
Heath Ledger’s father reveals his son’s final words before he died.
In 2008, the tragic passing of Heath Ledger shocked the world. At 28 years old, not only was his death totally unexpected but it was made all the more shocking by two factors. He was at the peak of his career, and he was a recent father to a 2-year-old daughter who would grow up never knowing her father.
And, while much of the blame was placed upon the actor’s deep involvement in his role as the Joker in The Dark Knight, ultimately it was a lethal concoction of prescription painkillers that killed him.
Heath Ledger overdose
Eight years following his death, it still highlights the fact that celebrities tend to turn to prescription painkillers to cope with the pressures of Hollywood. And while the issue is not new, it remains undiscussed, which is something Ledger’s dad is now working on addressing. In an interview with Daily Mail Australia earlier this week, the 66-year-old recounted a devastating conversation his daughter, Katie, had with Heath the night before he was found, face-down in his NYC apartment, with a cocktail of oxycodone, diazepam, hydrocodone and doxylamine in his system:
“It was totally his fault. It was no one else’s – he reached for them. He put them in his system. You can’t blame anyone else in that situation. That’s hard to accept because I loved him so much and was so proud of him. His sister was on the phone to him the night before telling him not to take the prescription medications with the sleeping tablets. He said: ‘Katie, Katie, I’m fine. I know what I’m doing.’ He would have had no idea.”
One would think that the weight of the conversation is still shocking, but when dealing with something as addictive as painkillers, it can be almost impossible to rewire a person’s mind. After all, in the year before Heath’s death, for example, the prescription painkiller Fetanyl killed over 1,000 people and was found to be 30–50 times stronger than heroin.
Is it the film industry’s fault?
Heath Ledger’s father continues on by saying the pressure of the film industry on actors leads actors to start taking prescription pills just to do their jobs. “There’s so much pressure on them to perform so even though your body is telling you that it’s not good and needs time, it’s like “just take these painkillers and keep going”. That was the case with Heath. He had to be back on set to finish (the next day). They were doing night shoots in the freezing cold and he had a weak chest anyway. He’d caught this (cough) and just couldn’t shake it but he thought he had to because he wanted to get the movie done.”
Celebrity Drug Addictions
Heath Ledger is not alone. In 2001, Stranger Things’ star Winona Ryder was arrested for shoplifting. And while everyone was talking about the fact she stole clothes, many people didn’t know she also had eight variations of painkillers in her purse.
Ryder recalled the moment in a 2007 interview with Vogue: “Two months prior to that, I broke my arm in two places, and the doctor … was giving me a lot of stuff and I was taking it at first to get through the pain. And then there was this weird point when you don’t know if you are in pain but you’re taking it. Have you ever taken painkillers? It isn’t a reckless [state], like you’re out of your head. It’s just confusion.”
Even Matthew Perry, the Friends’ star became addicted to prescription pills. He told Larry King in August 2002: “I got into a serious problem with painkillers, a painkiller called Vicodin. And that was mostly just to not drink as much as I was. I was getting too hung over, so I tried other things that would try to balance me out.”

A handwritten legal document filed by a woman in Texas accuses Tyler Perry of using voodoo and witchcraft to invade her personal privacy.
According to the AJC, a woman named Helen White wrote a handwritten document saying she consulted with an attorney who refused to take her case.
From the AJC:
The filing, formally lodged against “The United States of America” sprinkles in a slew of other celebrity names including Oprah Winfrey, Kim Fields and T.D. Jakes although it’s not at all clear what anyone supposedly did. The filing includes no photos, witness statements, medical or technical documents or other evidence, only a slew of allegations.
“I want a trial before this year is up,” the filing says. That was a year ago and it looks like things haven’t progressed past an official court clerk’s stamp indicating the document was filed.
I’m pretty sure Tyler Perry never used witchcraft, or tried to spy on this woman. Especially when he’s working on several TV shows including a new TLC series.

NBC’s Chicago PD is looking for extras to work on an upcoming episode filming on Monday, August 1st through Thursday, August 11th. Casting directors are looking for extras to work on “Neighborhood community scenes, Basketball courts, Kids playing in water, Gang Hang out, Crime Scene, etc.” set in Southside, Chicago.

Applicants should be tough/intimidating looking and be comfortable being in a tank top or shirt-less… The director will be selecting some people to be featured on camera, so please send clear, well-lit photos to increase your chances of being on camera! Report: Harrison Ford Could Have Died in ‘Star Wars’ Accident
Star Wars’ Harrison Ford could have died in on set incident.
Harrison Ford could have reportedly been killed when he was crushed by a hydraulic door on set of the on set of the Millennium Falcon spaceship while filming the most recent Star Wars movie, according to reports.
While filming at Pinewood Studios in London Ford was reprising his role as Han Solo in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Two years ago he was knocked to the ground and the heavy door of the Millennium Falcon crushed the actor. Ford sustained severe injuries from the incident, including a broken left leg. The company responsible for the accident, Foodles Production, pleaded guilty to two charges.

However, Milton Keynes magistrates court heard how the hydraulic spaceship door was operated by another person and that as the actor passed beneath it, he was hit hard in the pelvis and pinned to the floor. Ford was then airlifted to hospital in Oxford.
Andrew Marshall, prosecuting, said the breaches had caused a “risk of death” and that if the emergency stop had not been pressed in time, it could have been a very different outcome for Ford. “It could have killed somebody. The fact that it didn’t was because an emergency stop was activated,” he said.
Last December, Ford explained what happened. Ford said: “Now we had lots of money and technology and so they built a fucking great hydraulic door which closed at light speed and somebody said, ‘Ooh I wonder what this is?’
“And the door came down and hit me on my left hip because I was turned to my right. And then it flung my left leg up and it dislocated my ankle and as it drove me down to the floor, my legs slapped on the ramp up to the Millennium Falcon and broke both bones in my left leg.”
Ford later recovered from the injuries in time to complete his role in the film.
Foodles, which is owned by Disney, is expected to be sentenced on August 22nd. A spokeswoman said the company had cooperated fully with the investigation. “The safety of our cast and crew was always a top priority throughout the production,” it said.

Warner Bros. To Increase Film Production Outside of the U.S.
Warner Bros. is going to release the number of feature films made in South Korea.
While film production in Los Angeles, Atlanta and New York still dominates the film industry, Warner Bros. is interested in filming outside of the United States.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. is going to increase the number of productions filmed in South Korea. In fact, “Warner Bros. will release two South Korean films in the country this year and up to four in 2017 as part of its long-term commitment to making Korean-language films for the Asian market,” sources told THR.
Jay Choi, a Korean producer, investor and distributor told The Hollywood Reporter that filming locally has created better productions for Korean Audiences. “We are aiming to make Korean movies for Korean audiences,” said Choi. “There was a lot of creative freedom, and all we had to do was translate the script [from Korean to English]. For Age of Shadows we went into production last year and are releasing it this year, which is very efficient for any industry standard. In fact, there was actually a lot more creative freedom compared to Korean studios, because Warner Bros. has less [in terms of] stereotypes about the local market and [less pressure to export films to neighboring markets like China].”
This news comes after Netflix announced their plan to produce more content for international communities. Recently, Netflix’s CEO, Ted Sarandos told an audience at an event in South Korea that their new mission is to provide streaming content around the world and in the process, increase diversity.
“We’re very proud that Netflix shows are among the most diverse in the world,” he said. “Just looking at Marco Polo and Masters of None, they have an enormous Asian cast.”
Technology is making the world a smaller place and in effect bringing more job opportunities to other places around the world.
