Kurt Russell Reveals He Auditioned for Luke Skywalker, Han Solo

Many roles in certain films it is hard to imagine any other actor playing the part. One of the best examples include the roles of Luke Skywalker and Han Solo. The Star Wars characters were played perfectly by Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford. But, did you know another iconic actor nearly landed one of the roles?

While speaking to press about his new role in the new Guardians of the Galaxy movie, Kurt Russell revealed that he was in close consideration for either part.

“[I was] interviewing for the part of Luke Skywalker and Han Solo,” Russell said. “On tape, it exists.”

“I didn’t have any idea what I was talking about,” Russell said. “Something about a Death Star and a Millennium Falcon. I was actually pretty [close], in the final running, but I needed to give an answer to ABC to do a western show. I asked George, ‘Do you think you’re gonna use me?’ He said, ‘I don’t know if I want to put you with him, or those two guys together.’ I got to go to work, so I did the western. Clearly, made the right choice.”

Ultimately, Russell took the TV role, and the Star Wars movies become box office hits. Still, Russell’s career hasn’t suffered since the decision.

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is in theaters now and is written and directed by James Gunn (Slither).

Instagram Model’s Bikini Photo Shoot Goes HORRIBLY Wrong – you won’t believe what happens next

Instagram blogger Mareen looks like she has the best job everywhere. Her Miss Everywhere account features a collection of photos showing her living the life.

However, it’s not always easy building an Instagram page with thousands of followers. Mareen, recently described an encounter with a shark swimming around her while she was in the Bahamas.

“My highlight on that day, besides the pigs, was swimming with sharks in Compass Cay, which was very fun until one got a little hungry and decided to bite me,” she wrote. “I cannot tell you the second of shock I felt when I saw this shark opening his mouth and grabbing my hand.”

That’s crazy. And here I thought posing in a bikini all day was the easiest job ever. According to Mareen, the entire experience was just as scary as you would think.

“People always tell you when a shark attacks you you should stay calm,” she said. “Let me tell you, in reality, when it happens, there is nothing like staying calm. You completely freak out.”

Thankfully, she survived the attack and just sustained a scar on her hand.

“My hand is okay again, and has a scar now in shark teeth shape that will forever remind me of that beautiful day in the Exumas,” she says. “It’s an amazing experience to swim with them and quite an adrenaline boost.”

Shia LaBeouf is Getting Sued After Calling a Bartender a “F–ing Racist B–h”

Shia LaBeouf hit with a $5 million lawsuit after calling a bartender “f*cking Racist B*tch”

A bartender, who filmed an argument with Shia LaBeouf in April, is now taking legal action after the actor was caught on camera calling him a “f—ing racist b—ch”

The incident started when the bartender, David Bernstein of Jerry’s Famous Deli, refused to serve LaBeouf a drink, allegedly because the actor was already too intoxicated. LaBeouf was caught on camera screaming at the bowling-alley employee, calling him a “f—ing racist.”

The employee, who believes LaBeouf was about to hit him, is suing the actor for assault and defamation. “[LaBeouf] yelled at plaintiff and appeared ready to physically confront him after plaintiff refused to serve him a drink because [LaBeouf] appeared to be intoxicated,” Bernstein’s lawyer said in a statement.

The lawsuit claims that Bernstein  “experienced significant emotional distress, anxiety and fear” following the incident.

After slamming his fist on the bar counter, LaBeouf “quickly proceeded around the corner of the bar and entered the bartender well area… while yelling at the top of his lungs and appeared ready to physically confront Mr. Bernstein,” the lawsuit states.

The claim that LaBeouf yelled that Bernstein was a racist after leaving the story has caused him “significant embarrassment and ridicule” because video of the incident has been published online and that Bernstein is now known as “the racist bartender” by fans of the actor online.

After Filming in Atlanta, The CW is Moving This TV Show to Vancouver

0

The new CW TV series Life Sentence is moving to Vancouver this summer after filming the pilot in Atlanta, Georgia.

Despite offering a 30% tax credit to qualified feature film and TV productions, Georgia will not be the home of the new CW TV series starring Lucy Hale. Instead, The CW plans to film the series in Vancouver, the same place where several other popular CW shows have filmed including Arrow, Supergirl, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Riverdale, and Supernatural.

Life Sentence stars Lucy Hale as a young woman, Stella, who is dying of cancer, but then learns she isn’t going to die after all. The news means she has to learn how to live with the choices she made when she was “living like she was dying,” including marrying a complete stranger. It also means she sees her family’s problems for the first time, after they finally stop pretending everything is OK to protect her and, for the first time, she sees the full impact her illness has had on those closest to her.

The show also stars Dylan Walsh, Gillian Vigman, Elliot Knight, Jayson Blair, Brooke Lyons and Carlos PenaVega.

The series is the first TV project after Pretty Little Liars, which will air their final episodes this summer on Freeform.

Oprah Held an Intervention To Save Jamie Foxx’s Acting Career

0

Speaking to Howard Stern on his Sirius XM radio show, Foxx revealed that after the 2004 film Ray was released, he was drinking a lot, and as a result, he was “f*cking up.” He then got a call from Oprah, telling him “All of this gallivanting and all this kind of shit, that’s not what you want to do. I want to take you somewhere, make you understand the significance of what you’re doing.”

According to Foxx, he goes to a meeting arranged by Oprah at Quincy Jones’ house. He sees a group of black actors from the ‘60s and ‘70s, just waiting for him to tell him how badly he was messing up his acting career and what he should do to stop it.

The impromptu intervention was done to tell Jamie Foxx to get his life together and start acting right. “I want to give you responsibility,” Sidney Poitier told Foxx. “When I saw your performance [in Ray], it made me grow two inches.”

Jamie then broke down in tears and told Stern that it is the most “significant time” in his life.

Kim Kardashian’s New TV Show is Now Casting

0

Kim Kardashian is one of the most powerful celebrities in Hollywood.

Kim Kardashian is now expanding her glam team, so she’s inviting the world to compete for a spot in her make-up entourage on a new Lifetime series Glam Masters. Kim Kardashian posted a casting call earlier this month looking for people to join her make up team.

Kardashian is currently looking for beauty bloggers, according to Lifetime’s casting website.

“Four lucky bloggers will go head-to-head on each week’s episode of Glam Masters. Only a few will make it to semi-finals and eventually finals, where one will become the Glam Master. The next big name in the beauty world could be YOU.”

The casting call asks questions such as “have you done makeup for events”, and “how do you respond to competition”.
