Actor Ike Barinholtz Broke His Neck On Set of ‘The Pact’

The star behind Mindy Project Ike Barinholtz is currently recovering after breaking his neck on the set of his upcoming feature film The Pact, which shot in Georgia.

According to reports, Barinholtz injured himself after falling off a high platform while performing a stunt on set five weeks ago. The actor fractured two cervical vertebrae and has since had to reportedly keep his neck stabilized in a neck brace “for the near future.”

People reports that Barinholtz neck brace will also be incorporated into the upcoming season of The Mindy Project. He told People that a neck brace would be fantastic of this character Morgan Tookers because Tookers “could break his neck falling out of his bunk bed.”

There is no word whether or not the incident took place in Georgia. However, this news comes after a Walking Dead stunt-man died on set after falling and landing on his neck.

John Bernecker, The Walking Dead stuntman died after falling 25 feet from a balcony. According to TMZ, the stunt-man was bleeding from his head and nose after the impact.

The Pact centers on three parents who discover their daughters’ pact to lose their virginity at prom and launch a covert one-night operation to stop the teens from sealing the deal. The movie stars Leslie Mann and John Cena.

Is ‘The Walking Dead’ Moving to Europe?

Is The Walking Dead considering moving to Europe? Speaking at San Diego Comic-Con, Scott Gimple was asked whether we will ever get to see a group of survivors in a different country:

“I would say it is entirely possible that that could happen. I’m going to continue to give a long, ambiguous answer on that, but I would say it’s something… I’d say it’s something.”

The Walking Dead may only be around the 115th issue mark of the comic books, and Gimple has promised they will never overtake the source material, but there are big questions of where we could go next. Not that we are sick of the backwoods of Georgia, but a trip to a  different country could offer a new world of possibilities.

The idea of a worldwide pandemic is a pretty interesting idea. Especially considering what previous filmmakers have done with the concept in the past. Juan Carlos Fresnadillo’s 28 Weeks Later is a world famous take on a global zombie pandemic. In addition, Brad Pitt’s World War Z showcased the idea of a worldwide zombie outbreak idea as well.

The Walking Dead could travel to another country but, it is also possible that we could get another Fear The Walking show, where a prequel or sequel to the main show is released but set in Europe. Either way, there is still a long way to go before Rick and the gang pack their bags and head out to the European outback.

HULU’s New TV Series ‘The First’ Is Now Hiring Crew

According to Film New Orleans, HULU is now hiring crew members for the new TV series The First. 

Variety reports Hulu’s The First is a drama set in the near future about the first human mission to Mars. The series explores the challenges of taking the first steps toward interplanetary colonization.

Beau Willimon created and wrote “The First” and will serve as executive producer, alongside his producing partner Jordan Tappis.

“It’s a story about the human spirit,” said Willimon. “About our indomitable need to reach for unknown horizons. About people working toward the greatest pioneering achievement in human history. And about the cost of that vision, the danger and sacrifice — emotional, psychological, and physical — that’s required to achieve it. How ordinary, imperfect people band together and overcome a myriad of obstacles to grasp the extraordinary.”

AMC’s New TV Series ‘Lodge 49’ To Film in Georgia

According to Explore Georgia, AMC’s new TV series Lodge 49 will film in Georgia. Deadline reports Lodge 49 centers around a modern fable set in Long Beach, California. The show will focus on Dud, a deadbeat but charming ex-surfer who joins a fraternal order to obtain a simple, happy lifestyle he lost when his dad died. Through the Lodge and his connection with the members, Dud will find a new purpose in life and confront his deepest fears. The Lodge is from creator Jim Gavin, showrunner Peter Ocko and executive producer Paul Giamatti.

“Lodge 49 is a show that defies easy categorization,” said Joel Stillerman, President of Original Programming and Development for AMC & Sundance TV. “It is, at once, a show about a loveable loser, the idea that life can be magical if you look at it from the right angle, what it means to be on the fringe, and the importance of community. It’s also incredibly funny, poignant and truly entertaining”

About The Avengers:

Disney plans to release Marvel’s “Avengers: Infinity War” as one film with production expected to begin later this summer in Atlanta, Georgia.  Avengers: Infinity War is the upcoming sequel to The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron. The movie is set to hit theaters on May 4, 2018. Details surrounding the new Avengers movie have not been released. Must be comfortable being in the public eye, having photos taken and appearing on televised races. (You are only committing to one weekend.)
Duties include escorting the racer, posing for photo ops, handing out promo items, etc. Pay is $250 for the weekend (Saturday and Sunday) plus promotional model pass, snacks, drinks and lunch. Model must provide high-heeled black boots (no open toes).
