It stars Grant Show as Blake Carrington, Nathalie Kelley as Cristal Flores, Elizabeth Gillies as Blake’s daughter Fallon, and James Mackay as his son Steven. The pilot, which was announced in September 2016, was ordered to series in May 2017. Dynasty will premiere on October 11, 2017.

‘Game of Thrones’ Nathalie Emmanuel Reveals What It Was Like to Film a Sex Scene

Being an actor has its perks. But, as many actors have pointed out, performing nude scenes in front of a camera and crew is not really a highlight for any actor.

Two Game of Thrones characters consummated their relationship in the second episode of Season 7, Stormborn. The Queen of Dragons’ savvy advisor Missandei (Nathalie Emmanuel) and the commander of her Unsullied army Grey Worm (Jacob Anderson) solidified their romantic tension. Grey worm is being dispatched to seize the Lannister stronghold of Casterly Rock, a mission which would easily mean his death.

But, in an interview with EW Nathalie explained what it was like to film the sex scene.

“When I read the script the first thing I thought was that it’s a big deal for these two characters and also it’s a nude scene and you can’t help but think about that,” she says. “You’re like, ‘Okay, I’m getting naked.’ And that was really strange for Jacob and I because we’ve danced around that scenario and we’ve become good mates and now we got to be naked around each other. But it was fine and, obviously, done really respectfully. Whether you’ve done it many times, or none at all, it’s a big deal. You feel like you’re giving something quite vulnerable and, yes, it’s hard.”

Emmanuel explained that her fellow actors helped her by giving her anecdotes about shooting their first nude scenes. “It’s never a comfortable thing to do but if you trust your director and actors and the people on set, it’s fine,” she says. “It was treated very well and very respectfully and I feel like we had a really great day showing these two characters being completely vulnerable with each other. And it sort of helps the scene to actually feel very vulnerable and exposed. It’s good to use that energy and it made it so much better.”

Here’s How Much SAG-AFTRA Executives Really Get Paid

Want to know how much the SAG-AFTRA executives get paid?

According to a new report by Deadline, SAG-AFTRA, the union organization for actors and other fields in the entertainment industry, reportedly makes well over six figures.

Deadline reports that the SAG-AFTRA’s National Executive Director got a $40,798 raise last year and now makes $600,458 a year.

From Deadline:

The 10 highest-paid executives received more than a half-million dollars in raises.

Overall, the guild paid its employees $38,816,923, and despite the big raises for its top executives, that’s only $55,565 more than last year.

Like salaries for most careers, the amount of money that actors make each year, for the most part, are not public knowledge.

Even though Forbes investigates and lists the biggest earners in Hollywood, little is known for the other actors in the film industry.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistic, it is not nearly as much as Channing Tatum, Jennifer Lawrence or Robert Downey Jr.

In their latest report on employment and wages, the Bureau of Labor Statics released the average salary for several jobs within the entertainment industry including actors, producers, and directors.

Of the 155,740 actors, directors and producers included in the survey by the Department of Labour; the average person made about $89,000 in 2013, which equates to about $42.80 an hour.

The median is quite lower at $30.48/hour. But, it gets worse for actors.

According to the report, the median hourly pay for an actor is about $22.15 or $52,000.

320 Movies and TV Shows Shot in Georgia in 2016-2017

Georgia’s film industry is on fire.

Gov. Nathan Deal announced that Georgia filmed feature film and TV productions generated an economic impact of $9.5 billion during the fiscal year 2017.

In fact, 320 feature films and TV shows shot in Georgia resulting in a $2.7 billion in direct spending in the state.

“Georgia’s film industry supports thousands of jobs, boosts small business growth and expands offerings for tourists,” said Deal. “As one of the top places in the world for film, Georgia hosted a remarkable 320 film and television productions during the last fiscal year. These productions mean new economic opportunities and real investments in local communities. We are committed to further establishing Georgia as a top film destination and introducing film companies to the Camera Ready backdrops available across Georgia.”

One of the reasons for the influx of new films and TV shows in the Peach State is linked to the Georgia Film Academy, a workforce development program to train aspiring filmmakers to work in the film industry.
