CBS Big Brother 2018 to 2019 seasons are now holding open casting calls across the country.
States Big Brother Casting will be headed to include South Carolina, Oregon, Oklahoma, Michigan, Kentucky, and others. Big Brother is also accepting video auditions for the upcoming seasons.
Big Brother is a TV reality game show. The HouseGuests are completely isolated from the outside world and can have no communication with those not in the house. The contestants are competing for a $500,000 grand prize, with weekly competitions and evictions determining who will win the show. CBS also renewed the series for a 19th and 20th season. The 19th season premiered on June 28, 2017, while the 20th season is expected to air in the summer of 2018.

Starting 2018 to 2019 academic year, Brown University, whose alumni include Emma Watson, will provide scholarships to cover the full cost of tuition for all returning and future students in the Brown University / Trinity Rep master of fine arts (MFA) programs in acting and directing.
Not only will the additional funding ease debt for individual MFA students, Brown and Trinity Rep officials say, it will diversify the pool of actors and directors in training, encourage innovation and experimentation in art-making and ultimately redefine whose stories are being told through on-stage performance.
“In the theatre world, diversity is often hampered by the inability of low-income artists and artists of color to afford to be creators,” said Patricia Ybarra, chair of Brown’s theatre arts and performance studies department. “As one of the premier MFA programs in the country, we produce future leaders and innovators in the field. By expanding access to our program, we expand access to theatre world more broadly — ultimately redefining in really important ways whose stories are being told and by whom.
Traditionally, aspiring filmmakers and actors are unable to repay debt because their success is not reflected in their salaries, Brown University noted. As a result, prospective low-income and middle-income families do not apply to MFA programs, or aspiring artists live in debt for years.
“You cannot take risks and choose your own path when hampered by debt, and I am hopeful that we will see riskier and more innovative work as a result of this change,” Ybarra said.
The master’s programs were established in 2002, and provide students with three years of professional training and education. Students in each program hone their crafts working directly with professionals at the university and Trinity Rep, Rhode Island’s Tony Award-winning professional theater.
Along with full tuition support, students pursuing an MFA in acting will continue to be eligible for a stipend to cover living expenses. Students earning an MFA in directing will be offered teaching assistantships and proctorships, through which they will be compensated.
The goal is to bring young acting talent to the world. “The professional experience that our MFA students gain by acting at Trinity is invaluable to them, and they are equally valuable to our audiences and to the kind of work we can produce,” Curt Columbus, Trinity Rep’s artistic director, said. “This program is one of the best of its kind in the nation, and this investment by Brown makes us able to attract an even higher caliber of actor. “
Provost Richard Locke wrote a letter to Brown/Trinity students detailing the new policy, noting that the MFA programs were points of pride for graduate education at Brown.
“These additional investments ensure that all MFA programs at Brown are tuition-free and allow the University to continue to recruit exceptional graduate students in the arts, regardless of financial need,” Locke said. “These enhancements also reflect the centrality of the arts to the University’s mission.”

Starting out as an independent filmmaker not based in Los Angeles or New York, I found myself struggling to raise financing and find resources for my film projects, and it appeared that many contests were dominated by those who already had industry experience or access to better resources and crew. The Film Fund is designed to level the funding field, as no advantage is given to entrants based on industry experience. Effective storytellers should be able to succinctly convey the vision they have for their projects, and that is the basis of the contest.
Jennifer Lawrence has no regrets about quitting school at 14, insisting she made the decision because she believed in her dreams of becoming an actor.
The Hunger Games star revealed she left school without even picking up high school diplomat because she felt that it was important for her to pursue her acting career.
“I struggled through school,” she tells U.S. news show “60 Minutes.” “(I) never felt very smart and when I read a script and I felt like I knew exactly what it would look like if somebody felt that way (there) was a whole part of my brain that I didn’t know existed. (It was) something that I could be confident in and I didn’t want to let it go…

“It was just an overwhelming feeling of, ‘I get this, this is what I was meant to do!’ And to get people to try to understand that when you’re 14 years old, wanting to drop out of school and do this… your parents are just like, ‘You’re out of your mind’.”
Jennifer Lawrence never returned to school to finish her education, but she explains that she will never look back.
“I dropped out of middle school,” she says. “I don’t technically have a GED (General Educational Development) or a diploma. I am self-educated. I wanted to forge my own path. I found what I wanted to do and I didn’t want anything getting in the way of it. Even friends, for many years, were not as important to me as my career.”
Lawrence’s determination paid off when her break-out role in 2010 drama Winter’s Bone won her international acclaim, her first of four Oscar nominations and a leading role in the Hunger Games movie franchise. She later picked up an Academy Award in 2012 for Silver Linings Playbook.
Jon Bernthal shares his approach to acting, and why he loves supporting roles.
Since The Walking Dead, Jon Bernthal has become one of Hollywood’s biggest leading actors. Now, Bernthal is working on possibly his biggest production yet, The Punisher. Bernthal stars in the Marvel Netflix series as a take-no-prisoners anti-hero. In an interview with The Independent, Bernthal spoke about his approach to his acting craft and how he gets invested into his character in order to have a better performance.
Ultimately, Bernthal says his biggest concern to a character is authenticity.
He explains, “For me, this job, what I do, I strive for authenticity. Not just for the movie watchers but for people who the story is about. During Fury, I hope people who are tank operators would look at that and relate. When I play a small-town police officer in a Georgia town, I want those police officers to buy that. What that requires is being granted access to the people who are like that. Some of the best relationships I’ve made in my career are with those people filmmakers bring on board, to teach you the tricks of the trade. There are cops in LA that I’m still super close with, a best friend who’s a Navy seal who I worked with. When somebody opens up their life like that, it’s unbelievably humbling.”
He explains that it is a time-consuming experience. But, that is a sacrifice that Bernthal is willing to make to make his acting stand out from his competition.
He continues, “I’m enormously busy, no question about it. I do this for a living and I’ve built a home from it. My mantra is ‘be where you are while you’re there’. So, when I’m making a movie, I’m in 100 percent. I don’t stop for anything. I don’t take breaks, get drunk, go to bars. I’m packing things in the whole time. When there are people to meet to build that authenticity, I’m there. Same when I’m with my family. There is no cell phone, no meetings, half-in, half-out, I’m with them 100 percent. That’s the only way I know how to live right now. My own personal happiness is dictated by how much I’m with that philosophy. If I’m not living that, I’m unhappy. ‘
Even though he landed a major leading role on The Punisher, Bernthal is known for his more supporting roles. However, he does not see a difference between the two.
He explains,“What I got to do in Wind River, in Sicario – where I pop up for just one scene – I’m just as grateful for that as Frank Castle in The Punisher. I came from the Moscow Art Theatre School where they coined the phrase ‘there’s no small part for a small actor’. What I love about these small parts is they really have a sense of history to them, a sense of you can believe this character existed before the scene and will exist after – unless they get killed! These characters really add to the tapestry of a film, and if you can bring something authentic you make the world seem real.”
Bernthal sees the fact he can play a supporting role in so many projects helps him not get typecast.
He says, “There have been some things that would have been splashier, bigger projects career-wise. There’s nothing I have done that I regret, nothing I wish I had. Honestly, I’m not here to make a huge splash. One of the drawbacks of playing The Punisher would be the high exposure. There’s a real downside to that as an actor… Having those splashier roles can be the enemy sometimes. You have to reinvent and challenge yourself.”

The Last Jedi was part of a new trilogy of movies announced after Disney’s acquisition of Lucasfilm in October 2012. The movie went on to gross over $1.3 billion worldwide, making it the highest-grossing film of 2017, the 6th-highest-ever grossing film in the United States and the 9th-highest-grossing film of all-time.
But one of the biggest surprises to the movie was young actress Kelly Marie Train, who played the role of Rose. Rose seems like a minor member of the Resistance who becomes an important part of the plan to take down the First Order in the movie.

• The writer, director, cast, or theme of the short must be diverse, either: ethnically, culturally, or of a diverse voice or community. Examples of diverse and inclusive backgrounds, including female writers & directors, the LGBTQ community, and artists who are differently-abled.
• Short films must qualify under one of the following narrative genres: Comedy, or Drama. We strongly encourage Comedic Pilot Presentations and stand-alone Web Series episodes. Any Documentaries, Animations or Music Videos are not eligible.
• Projects must be 2-22 minutes in length. All others are not eligible.
• Submitted works must have been completed no more than 2 years prior the submission date (no earlier than February, 2015). Any film completed over 2 years prior is not eligible.
• Submitting parties must hold complete ownership and rights of submitted product.
• Submitting parties must be able to grant screening rights and online streaming rights.
• Only original works are accepted. Submissions are disqualified if based, in whole or in part, on pre-existing material, fictional or nonfiction, produced or un-produced, published or unpublished, unless such material was originally created and published/produced by the applicant, in another medium.

About The Good Cop:
The Good Cop is an upcoming television drama created by Andy Breckman. It will consist of ten episodes and will be released on Netflix. Written by Breckman, who serves as showrunner, The Good Cop centers on Tony Sr. (Danza), a disgraced former NYPD officer who never followed the rules. He lives with his son, Tony Jr. (Groban), an earnest, obsessively honest NYPD detective who makes a point of always following the rules. This “odd couple” become unofficial partners as Tony Sr. offers his overly cautious son blunt, streetwise advice on everything from handling suspects to handling women.

Syndicated TV court show is now hiring production assistants in Atlanta, Georgia.
According to the Georgia Help Wanted Hotline, an Atlanta-based casting company is seeking a freelance Audience Production Assistant/Wrangler to work with the audience members for the tapings of a nationally syndicated daytime TV court show. The Audience PA/Wrangler will assist the production team with all aspects of the audience – sign in and sign out the audience, make sure that all the paperwork is filled out completely, seat, rotate, and prep all audience members.
Requirements:
-Must currently reside in Atlanta, GA
-Minimum 10 months TV/Film set experience

CBS Films has set its lead female cast for Hellfest, the Gregory Plotkin-directed, Gale Anne Hurd-produced genre film about a masked serial killer who turns a horror-themed amusement part into his own personal Halloween slaughterhouse. Amy Forsyth (The Path, Rise), Reign Edwards (MacGyver, Snowfall) and Bex Taylor-Klaus (Here And Now, Arrow) will play the three friends who race to save patrons who believe the gore is all part of a thematic scare show.
