About Lady and the Tramp:

According to reports, Lego Ninjago director Charlie Bean will begin filming sometime this September in Atlanta and Savannah, Georgia. The studio will also be filming the upcoming Disney movie ‘Jungle Cruise’ in Georgia this summer 2018. Disney has planned on having ‘Lady and the Tramp’ ready for release on their streaming platform in late 2019.

Lady and the Tramp is a 1955 animated musical dreamed produced by Walt Disney. It was the 15th Disney animated feature film and is based on “Happy Dan, The Whistling Dog” by Ward Greene. The movie centers around the story of a female American Cocker Spaniel named Lady who lives with an upper-class family, and a male stray dog called the Tramp. When the two dogs meet, they go on a romantic adventure and fall in love. The movie grossed $93.6 million in the United States and Canada and $187 million worldwide.

The Resident Casting Call

***THE RESIDENT***
Brandi is looking for a male/female couple to play a “make-out” couple at a Halloween party scene. You do not need to submit in costume, but you must look in the 20’s to 30’s age range, and be young attractive, fit, sizes. I would prefer that you submit as a “REAL” couple, but if you are an individual male or female, who looks the right age range, and you are attractive and fit, and you are totally ok with making out with another background actor, you can submit as an individual.

Unfortunately I do not have the work date or location at this time, so the more open and available you are the better.

Chicago Background Actors Are Now Getting Paid $12/Hour

Background actors in Chicago are getting paid $12/hour.

On Thursday, New Deal Casting announced that NBC’s hit TV series Chicago PD will begin paying background actors $96/8. “The new base rate for general background is now $96/8hrs,” the casting company announced on Facebook. Filming for the new season of Chicago PD is expected to start filming shortly.

NBC’s Chicago PD centers on the Intelligence team located at the District 21 of the Chicago Police department. This team fights the city’s major offenses including organized crime, drug trafficking, and high profile murders.

This news comes after a report in January that background actors in Atlanta were reportedly going to receive a pay increase. Tammy Smith Casting of Atlanta, posted a Facebook message breaking the news. “we (the entire extras casting director community of Atlanta) are in the process of getting the productions to raise this rate.” While that was exciting news, Tammy Smith there have been no reports as to a pay increase for background extras in Atlanta, Georgia.

Chicago Fire Casting Call

Casting Alert! Local to the Chicago Area only! (plus surrounding suburbs and states) Searching for men and women, ages 20 to 70, to play business types in our season opener action sequence! You will need to have business suits. In order to apply you must be fully available for filming that could take place any day from July 19th thru July 30th. This includes shooting on two of the Saturdays during this time. We probably will need you to work a total of 4 or 5 days. There most likely will need to be a wardrobe fitting. There will be movie smoke (non toxic) and your clothes might be dirtied with movie dirt and on face and hands.
