About Calvin Klein:

Calvin Klein is an iconic American fashion designer who launched his eponymous label in 1968. Today, the brand is known for its sleek, modern aesthetic and sexy advertising campaigns, which often feature famous celebrities and models. Calvin Klein collections include everything from ready-to-wear to underwear, fragrances, and home goods.

Klein was born in 1942 in the Bronx, New York, to Hungarian immigrant parents. His father was a painter and his mother was a housewife. Klein showed an early interest in fashion, and he began designing clothes for his sisters when he was just a teenager. After graduating from high school, he studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.

In 1968, Klein launched his first collection of women’s coats and dresses under the label Calvin Klein Limited. The following year, he debuted his first menswear collection. In the early 1970s, Klein gained notoriety for his unique take on denim jeans, which he began selling under the label CK Jeans. His jeans were particularly popular among teenage girls and young women, who loved the tight-fitting, low-rise style.

In 1982, Klein introduced his first perfume, Calvin Klein Obsession. The fragrance was an instant hit, and it helped solidify Klein’s reputation as a master of marketing and branding. In the years that followed, he released a number of other successful fragrances, including Eternity (1988), Escape (1991), and CK One (1994).

In the late 1990s, Klein sold his company to Phillips-Van Heusen for $430 million. However, he remained involved with the brand, serving as its chief creative officer until 2005. In 2006, Klein retired from the fashion industry altogether.

Today, Calvin Klein is one of the most recognizable fashion brands in the world. Its garments are sold in more than 110 countries, and the company has annual revenues of over $8 billion. The brand remains true to its roots with a focus on modern, minimalist design. Under the creative direction of Raf Simons, Calvin Klein has continued to produce chic and timeless clothing, accessories, and home goods.

About Netflix’s ‘The Electric State’:

The Russos’ upcoming film, The Electric State, was first announced in 2020 and is now set to be directed by the Russo brothers for Netflix. The project is filming under the working title “Stormwind”

Join Project Casting to access jobs you can apply to right now.

Stålenhag’s other graphic novel, Tales from the Loop, was adapted for Amazon Prime Video. The Electric State is an adaptation of Simon Stålenhag’s sci-fi graphic novel, which was released in 2018 and is known for its striking illustrations. Described as a mix between Stranger Things and On The Road, the book has garnered critical acclaim.

“Set in a post-apocalyptic 1997, The Electric State is the story of Michelle, who, accompanied by her toy robot Skip, sets out across the western United States in a stolen car to find her missing brother. Told in achingly melancholy, spare prose and featuring almost a hundred gorgeous, full-color illustrations, The Electric State is a novel like no other.”

AGBO is a filmmaking company established by Anthony and Joe Russo, who first acquired the rights to the narrative in 2017. In December 2020, Deadline revealed that Universal had bought the property from AGBO and that Stranger Things’ Millie Bobby Brown would be playing Michelle. The film will be directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, who was already hired as directors.

Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, who co-wrote The Avengers and Captain America with the Russo brothers, created the film’s plot. The movie will follow the book’s major events as they are told by a young girl named Michelle, who goes on a trip with her brother’s robotic companion.

The book’s hardcover is packed with evocative images, and the video below gives us a taste of what we could expect from a movie adaptation.

Now, it seems that the feature film will be released on Netflix instead of getting a theatrical release, as was initially planned.

According to our sources, the casting for The Electric State is currently seeking numerous parts, including Young Michelle and Christopher. The project has been called “Stormwind” under a working title.

Currently, production for The Electric State is keeping to the proposed timeline from the Deadline article. Cameras are set to roll between October 2022 and February 2023, and they will be filmed in Atlanta, Georgia.

Even though we’re now two years into the future, this is still the newest project Netflix has collaborated on with AGBO. Their most significant project to date is undoubtedly The Gray Man, which will be available on Netflix in July 2022. They are also working on the production of Extraction, which will have its second installment in 2023.

The company is producing the upcoming Noah Hawley thriller starring Regé-Jean Page, and earlier this year, we reported that Netflix was eyeing their optioned adaptation of The Whisper Man.

Given that Brown is still attached to the project, this Netflix endeavor is one of several significant projects she has in development.

Eartha May’s breakout role in Stranger Things is still ongoing, with the first season having released at the end of May 2022. She is filming Damsel for Netflix and set to appear in Enola Holmes 2, The Girls I’ve Been, and the yet-to-be-confirmed The Thing About Jellyfish.

We’ll update you on all things The Electric State as soon as we have more information.

Chris Pratt and Millie Bobby Brown Will Both Star In The Russo Brothers’ Upcoming Film, ‘Electric State,’ Will Be Released On Netflix.

The Russo Brothers may team up again with Chris Pratt for their next project, “Electric State.” Simon Stålenhag’s illustrated novel is being adapted for the screen, and Millie Bobby Brown is already attached to the star. The film was previously set up at Universal Studios. Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, the writing duo behind “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Endgame,” penned the script.

In an alternate future, “Electric State” follows a young woman (Brown) who discovers that her lost brother has sent her a strange but lovely robot. In an imaginative world of humans melding with robots, she and the robot pursue the brother, unearthing a vast conspiracy.

The film’s production is planned to start in the fall in Atlanta.

The Russos are producing the project under their AGBO banner with Mike Larocca–AGBO’s president of production. Chris Castaldi and Patrick Newall are also serving as producers. Angela Russo-Otstot, Jake Aust, Geoff Haley, Markus & McFeely will act as executive producers.

“The Gray Man,” starring Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans, is next up for the Russos. It will premiere in theaters on July 15th, followed by a release to the streamer platform the week after. The Russos are repped by CAA, while Brown’s representation includes WME and Hansen Jacobson.

About Latto:

Latto, formally known as Mulatto and born Alyssa Michelle Stephens on December 22, 1998, is an American rapper. In 2016, she made an appearance on the reality television series The Rap Game. At that time, she went by Miss Mulatto and won the first season of the show. Even though winning the show gave her a record deal opportunity, she turned it down.

Latto signed with RCA Records after releasing her 2019 single “Bitch from the South”. The song debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 in August 2020, reaching number 95. A remix accompanied it with rappers Saweetie and Trina.

In 2020, Latto released the follow-up single “Muwop” (featuring Gucci Mane). Both songs were certified platinum and appeared on Latto’s debut album Queen of da Souf, which was released in August 2020. Latto’s mainstream breakthrough came with the release of “Big Energy”, the lead single from her second studio album 777 (2022). Latto’s highest-charting single to date, the song peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100.

Latto received nominations for Best New Hip Hop Artist at the 2020 BET Hip Hop Awards and Top Rap Female Artist at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards. She was one of the XXL Freshman Class in 2020 and won MTV Global’s Push Artist of the Month in February 2021. In 2022, she went on to win the BET Award for Best New Artist. At the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards, Latto was nominated for Best New Artist, Video For Good, and Best Hip Hop. “Big Energy” was chosen as Song of the Year at the 2022 BET HipHop Awards, with 777 earning a nod for Hip Hop Album of the Year.

Acting Tips

  1. Come prepared

One of the most important things you can do when auditioning is to come prepared. This means being familiar with the material and clearly understanding the character you are auditioning for. If you are given sides (a portion of the script) to prepare, make sure you spend enough time reading and re-reading them to understand the character’s motivation and objectives. It’s also a good idea to familiarize yourself with the work of the director or casting director so that you know their style and what they may be looking for in an actor.

  1. Be confident

It’s important to remember that confidence is vital when auditioning. Even if you don’t feel 100% prepared, you must be confident in your abilities. Casting directors are looking for actors who seem confident and capable, so even if you’re feeling a little nervous, make sure you don’t show it.

  1. Make strong choices

One of the best ways to stand out in an audition is to make solid and exciting choices. This doesn’t mean that you should go for the most outrageous or wacky option possible, but rather that you should be aware of the character you are playing and make choices that are true to that character. If you’re unsure what choices to make, asking the casting director or director for guidance can be helpful. They may be able to give you some insight into the character or the scene that will help you make more informed choices.

  1. Be flexible

Casting directors are looking for actors who can take direction and are willing to try different things. If they ask you to do something you’re uncomfortable with, don’t be afraid to speak up and explain your concerns. However, be open to trying new things and don’t get too attached to any one choice. The ability to be flexible is an essential quality in an actor, so it’s something you should showcase in your audition.

  1. Relax and have fun

Last but not least, it’s essential to relax and have fun when auditioning. This isn’t always easy, but it will show in your audition if you can manage it. Casting directors are looking for actors who seem to enjoy themselves and can relax and have fun with the material. So even if you’re feeling nervous, try to channel that energy into your performance and use it to your advantage.

Voice-Over Acting Tips

  1. Choose the right voice for your project

– First and foremost, you must ensure that your voice is well suited for the project you’re auditioning for. For example, if you’re trying to land a narration gig, it’s probably not a good idea to submit an audition that sounds like it was recorded for a cartoon character. Likewise, if you’re up for a role in an animated film, don’t submit an audition that sounds too serious or mature. The best way to find the right voice is to listen to other examples of work in the same genre or style as what you’re auditioning for and try to mimic that.

  1. Make sure your audio quality is top notch

– One of the quickest ways to kill your chances of getting a job is to submit an audition with poor audio quality. Before you hit the record button, ensure you have a good microphone and are recording in a quiet environment. If your audio is fuzzy or full of background noise, it’s not going to impress anyone.

  1. Practice, practice, practice

– As with anything in life, the more you practice, the better you’ll become at it. If you’re serious about becoming a voice-over actor, set aside time daily to work on your craft. Record yourself reading different scripts, and try out different voices and inflections. The more comfortable you are in front of the microphone, the more likely you will get the gig.

  1. Be unique

– In a world where anyone can be a voice-over actor, it’s essential to ensure that you stand out from the crowd. One way to do this is to create a demo reel that showcases your range and versatility. If you can show that you can play various characters, you’ll be much more likely to get work.

  1. Have patience

– Like anything else in the entertainment industry, becoming a successful voice-over actor takes time and patience. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t book a job right away or if you don’t land the role you want. Keep practicing and trying; eventually, you’ll get your big break.

How to Become a Film Hair Stylist

7 Steps How To Become a Film Hair Stylist

People working as film hairstylists are responsible for styling and taking care of actors’ hair in the film industry. They often have to collaborate with other departments to ensure that the characters’ looks go well together. If you want to become a film hairstylist, it can be helpful to learn more about what they do and how much they earn. In this article, we explain what a film hairstylist is, detail their responsibilities, describe the steps you need to follow to become one, list essential skills that are needed for this job, answer common questions about their work, and provide some valuable tips for people working in general in the film industry.

Join Project Casting to access jobs you can apply to right now.

What is a film hairstylist?

A film hairstylist, also known as a make-up artist, is a cosmetology professional who works with directors to create and maintain the looks of films during production. They work alongside costume and make-up artists to develop character appearances that correctly represent the person and their actions, set the stage for events, and compliment dialogue and action. To keep consistent imagery throughout a movie, film hairstylists study hairstyle fashion from different eras and develop designs for fantasy and science fiction settings.

What does a film hairstylist do?

Depending on the size of the film and the position, a film hairstylist may have various responsibilities. For example, a film hairstylist in an entry-level job might only style hair. A director, on the other hand, may delegate duties and organize groups. These are some of the activities that a film hairstylist may accomplish:

  • Designing hairstyles that fit the scene
  • A hair and makeup team can be a great asset to have for any event.
  • Delegating hair styling tasks to professionals
  • Before actors begin, reviewing the various styles is a good idea.
  • Collaborating with professional make-up artists
  • Mulling over different scripts to choose the right type for each
  • Selecting images that accurately depict the desired style.
  • Refining styles and touch-ups
  • Instructing actors on how to care for their hair properly
  • Assist in the dismantling of complicated styles
  • Keeping track of and replacing caps and wigs for actors
  • Applying wigs and extensions to movie stars

How to become a film hairstylist

Follow these steps to become a film hairstylist:

1. Determine if it’s the right career for you

The first step in deciding if becoming a film hairstylist is the ideal profession is to evaluate if it’s suitable for you. Hairstyling in the film business allows you to try new designs and techniques, as well as allowing you to express your creativity. On the other hand, film hairstylists are frequently assigned to work in fast-paced environments where they use their problem-solving skills to solve hairstyle issues. Those who want more leisure and consistency at their job may consider alternative possibilities. This job may be perfect for you if you like being creative and using critical thinking.

2. Consider attending cosmetology school

On the other hand, a cosmetology education and license might not be necessary for film hairstylist jobs. Having these qualifications can help you compete with other professionals. Consider going to cosmetology school to enhance your hair styling talents and learn more about other areas of cosmetology, such as nail care and make-up application. Attending cosmetology school may also help you network with other students and meet hairstylists who could potentially work with you.

3. Gain experience as a stylist and hairdresser

Working on a film set may be difficult if you don’t have any experience as a hairstylist. Entry-level positions at low-cost salons are an option, or you might rent your own chair at a salon. You can improve your client base and learn more about complicated haircuts by offering wedding and school dance services. Consider renting out space in your chair to help you gain even more expertise in creating elaborate hairdos.

4. Study film and how hair interacts with the story

Although your primary skill is styling hair, studying film and how hair worked within past stories can help you become a better hairstylist for future films. This could involve learning about hairstyles and types in distinct cultures or comprehending the symbolic meaning of different styles throughout history. By designing styles for movies with this knowledge, you would be able to create more historically accurate character designs that also support the plotline.

5. Develop a professional hairstyle portfolio

As your experience as a hairstylist grows, take pictures of your best styles to add to a portfolio. For example, if you want to focus on historical films, fill your portfolio with hair powder wig installation or era-specific styles. If science fiction or fantasy is more interesting, create ambitious profiles that display dystopian futures or magical characters.

6. Pursue small hairstyling jobs to start

You may apply for little film hairstyling jobs to get started. This might include assisting with a day of filming or creating hairdos for short films and music videos. You can demonstrate your skills and abilities by successfully completing tasks, obtaining testimonials, and building your portfolio.

7. Apply for official film hairstylist positions

Applying for a permanent hairstylist position? Use your portfolio as part of the application process. When submitting materials, think about which companies you’d most want to work with, and tailor your resume and cover letter to each role. Practicing ahead of time can help you be ready to answer common questions during interviews.

Skills every film hairstylist needs

Some of the most essential talents for film hairstylists are:

Creativity

Creativity is an essential talent for film hairstylists, who use it to invent distinctive and character-specific updos. A film hairstylist creates each aspect of how an actor’s hair appears in a movie, from the form of a haircut to the color and details. Hairdressers with strong creative talents may also assist them to solve hair styling difficulties.

Communication

Because they are the first and last department actors visit on set each day, hairstylists must be excellent communicators. In addition to solving problems with actors, they also use active listening skills to understand what an actor may want for their hairstyle.

Fine motor skills

Film hairstylists work with hair, so having strong fine motor skills is essential. They braid, twist, and pin strands of hair to create a style using their hands, so it’s critical that they can move the hair quickly. Hairstylists are frequently required to handle many instruments simultaneously while multitasking, so hand and arm strength are also crucial.

Organization

Brushes, combs, hairsprays, gels, finishing sprays, pins, clips, bands, curling irons (wands), wigs, wig glue (balayage), bald caps (hairpieces), straighteners, and blow dryers are just a few of the tools that hairstylists utilize. Depending on their haircuts, film hairstylists may also use specialized equipment or materials to produce styles that stay in place. Because they work with a variety of tools and materials every day as part of their job requirements, it’s important for film hairstylists to have good organizational skills. Organizational skills can also assist them in managing their time efficiently.

Confidence

A film hairstylist may develop new designs and work with various clients and actors, depending on their job responsibilities. As a result, the stylist must be self-assured in their skills and designs. Confidence might help actors to feel at ease while also enhancing performance. Confidence can make all the difference between getting a film hairstylist position and not.

If you want to make more money as a film editor, here are some things you can try.

There are a few things you can do to make more money as a film editor, for example:

Earning a degree

Although experience in the film industry may be more valuable than formal qualifications, a film production or editing degree can provide you with essential skills and valuable connections.

Negotiating for better salaries

If you’re a film editor, chances are you’re a freelancer working on negotiation terms for your salary. The great news is that if you advocate well enough for yourself, you have the potential to make more money than those who settle for less. To be successful in negotiating, one needs confidence and excellent communication skills to explain why their work deserves the requested amount.

Working efficiently

The hourly rate of a film editor is primarily determined by the amount of work they can complete within that time frame. Film editors who perform quickly gain a reputation for their efficiency, which may help them command greater salaries. With time, film editors become more efficient and strategic. However, staying focused and practicing good time management can also improve efficiency.

Working to your deadlines

Maintaining a good reputation is key to success as a film editor, and one way to do that is by hitting your deadlines. Whether setting your timelines or working within someone else’s parameters, ensure you know when things are due. If you’re unsure how long something will take, keep track of your time on other projects so you can better estimate the future.

Being proactive about finding work

If you want to be a consistently busy film editor, apply for a wide range of projects and accept available jobs. The more experience you have and the connections you make, the easier it will be to find work.

Joining the Motion Picture Editors Guild

To join the Motion Picture Editors Guild, aspiring film editors must first gain experience working on non-union productions. However, even after being placed on the Industry Experience Roster, there is no guarantee of guild membership.

The East Coast chapter accepts filmmaker members living in the New York or tri-state area. It does not employ a roster system, but it encourages applicants to speak with its representatives before deciding to join. Applicants must pay an entrance fee, and members can enroll in training courses to help them further enhance their abilities.

Gaining certification for editing software

When you become certified in film editing software, you demonstrate your proficiency in these programs. You can get certification for many of the most popular software programs used by professionals, including Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and Media Compressor. Film editors with certificates often make more money than those without it.

Understanding modern trends

The film editing industry is constantly evolving, so it’s important to stay up-to-date with new techniques and technologies. This will help you identify areas where you can improve your skills. The highest-paid film editors are always aware of what’s happening in their sector and keep up with current developments that influence their job.

The Follower: This AI Can Find You Based on Your Instagram Photos and Open Surveillance

Influencers in Trouble! A new AI named “The Follower,” A Deadly Stalker is on the Way!

“The Follower” project is a collection of AI-generated art that follows Instagram influencers’ photographs.

Join Project Casting to access jobs you can apply to right now.

Influencers may be compelled to seek attention by their work, but a new AI experiment shows that they aren’t always in command of their fans’ gazes. On social media, Belgian artist Dries Depooter unveiled The Follower, a project incorporating the AI surveillance video. It’s part of his project, The Follower, which he revealed on social media. In this way, it offers a peek into the terrifying potentials of automated monitoring. It feels like witnessing something private yet also shameless when individuals are caught unaware and unguarded. Depoorter analyzed public cameras’ feeds for material for his project, The Follower.

The new project, which will use open-access cameras and Instagram celebrities, will seem too real. Dries Depoorter is a Belgian artist who previously piqued our attention by monitoring political figures with smartphones at work. An artificial intelligence system that uses open-access video footage from security cameras located worldwide to identify individuals was created by Depoorter. However, The Follower arose due to boredom for Depoorter, who watched another person’s habits remotely from afar. Although we may not feel much sympathy for influencers seeking attention, anyone can be targeted by AI surveillance.

The Follower is a chilling art project that uses available cameras and artificial intelligence to follow Influencers and reveal how they created their Instagram photographs. Weeks of footage were recorded. He then scraped Instagram for photos tagged with the camera locations. After that, he crossed all Instagram pictures with the open cameras’ locations and used AI software to compare them to the recorded film.

The Belgian artist used software to focus on Instagram influencers with over 100,000 followers. They then matched these people to the film of their Instagram photos. The concept works by recording a selection of available cameras for weeks and using AI to scan through all Instagram photos tagged with locations corresponding to where the open camera recordings took place. By making this side-by-side comparison, possible shots are captured perfectly(and how much thought/time goes into bringing them).

Depoorter’s project, The Follower, initially seems to make fun of the mundanity behind picture-perfect Instagram posts. However, Depoorter has bigger aspirations than that; he wants to target the dangerous aspects of social media influencers. His project launched on September 12th, and he released his first video Monday with footage from only ten days worth of collecting videos. He could use AI video analysis to identify which scenes in the videos were taken by influences and show them publicly.

For weeks, Depoorter recorded video footage from open access cameras. He is an artist who tends to create installations, apps, and games that focus on privacy, artificial intelligence, surveillance & social media. Although his monitoring system might not seem as bad compared to what companies are already selling to governments, the most concerning part is being surveilled by these available cameras, which anyone can access.

How to Become a Model in Paris Fashion Week

How to Become a Fashion Model in Paris for Paris Fashion Week.

There are few things more exciting for a model than working in the picturesque and romantic city of Paris, France.

Join Project Casting to access jobs you can apply to right now.

Models are renowned for working with some of the world’s most famous and fashionable fashion houses, including Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, Hermes, Lanvin, and Christian Louboutin. Modeling in Paris is the ideal and greatest destination for all professional models.

Stats for Fashion Models

Paris female models should be 5′ 9″ to 6′ tall with a bust, waist, and hip size of 34-23-33 (5’10-5’10 ½ is even better). Male models must be a minimum of 6′ to 6′ 2″ and wear a 38 to 40 Regular jacket. Each season, designers make their clothing in one size, or what is called a sample size. This means that the designer rather than vice versa creates the model-fitted clothes. With each collection usually having a plentiful amount of items, it’d be impossible for the designer to make every piece fit perfectly for each model.

Age Requirements

In countries like France, the minimum legal age to work any job is 16 years old. However, most top model agencies possess a special license that permits them to employ minors. Even so, these child models have incredibly restricted working hours. Therefore, agencies typically avoid recruiting young talent from other nations.

Learn Style, Class, and Sophistication

Paris is not a market where new models can build their portfolios or gain experience. Before attempting the sophisticated market of Paris, models should have worked in Asian regions such as Tokyo, Singapore, or Taipei. Other excellent markets to try before going to Paris include Germany, Milan, London, and Australia. Once a model has mastered the business basics, they are ready for the ultimate goal: Paris, where they will serve the most glamorous and sophisticated clients.

Employment Status

In Paris, models are hired as employees instead of independent contractors like in other modeling markets. They receive a monthly salary, and the model still gets paid even if the client doesn’t pay.

In France, the government taxes businesses and individuals heavily to fund social programs like unemployment benefits, healthcare, and retirement pensions. This means that models only take home about 33% of their total earnings from each job. For example, if a model books a $1000 job, they will only receive $300 after agency commissions and taxes are deducted.

Not only are taxes and agency commissions high in Paris, but also the costs of living. It can be an expensive place to learn the ropes of modeling. Therefore, models should only travel there if they have a real chance of booking runway, editorial, or high-end advertising work; that’s where the good opportunities and money are. Furthermore, most experienced models go to Paris specifically for the “Collections” season and then leave for greener pastures when it ends.

Arriving in Paris

Don’t expect the agency to pick you up in a limo or meet you at the airport. Paris agencies demand that models have some experience and be professional; thus, they expect them to get from the airport to the agency or apartment independently.

Travel and Accommodation Expenses

However, most modeling agencies will charge the model an advance on their airline ticket and apartment costs to secure the job. Once they begin working, the model will be expected to reimburse this amount. Models should budget for their airfare, housing, food, cabs, and exams ahead of time.

Work Visa Requirements

For models who are citizens of Canada, the United States, and most European countries, no special visa or work papers for France are needed. The agency will have to file government forms for international models, but it won’t affect the model’s ability to work in any way.

Signing to an Agency

Having a manager or “mother agency” is integral to a fashion model’s career in Paris. A mother agent will be knowledgeable of the best agencies that match your look and manage your long-term career goals.

Instagram is Testing a New Repost Feature

Instagram Beta Testing New Repost Feature.

Finally, Instagram’s long-awaited “repost” functionality will be available soon. But not for everyone. A Meta representative told TechCrunch that they would soon begin testing the repost function with a small group of individuals. This impending feature has yet to be announced by Meta publically.

Join Project Casting to access jobs you can apply to right now.

So, how did this information reach the public? Matt Navara, a social media consultant, screenshotted Adam Mosseri’s Instagram profile to his Twitter followers on September 7th.

Based on the screenshot provided as evidence, it looks like users will get a Repost tab on their profile page. This tab will include all the reposts a user has shared to their account.

With more research, others could find the introduction screen for users selected to test the feature. This was introduced months ago by Alessandro Paluzzi.

This news becomes relevant again, as it seems that Adam’s profile is the first to be spotted with the Reposts feature. Instagram may have been planning this for quite some time and is quietly rolling out the Beta test now.

Keeping Up With Other Platforms

Instagram’s repost function has been a long time coming if it is alive. Users may already post stories on Instagram but not in the feed.

For years, Twitter has had a Retweet feature that allows users to share tweets from other users on their own Twitter feed.

TikTok is testing a feature that would allow users to share content with their followers, similar to other social media platforms. TikTok’s current Repost feature shares specific content but doesn’t show all of the user’s shared posts.

Why Is It Important?

Up until now, reposting on Instagram required using a third-party app, which sacrifices privacy and security. Users may remove unwanted 3rd-party applications and repost natively by utilizing the Repost feature. Reposting within the feed, rather than in stories, has also been added to Stories. This enables users to reshare material directly inside their feeds instead of via their stories features.

From a content standpoint, the Repost feature allows content producers to be discovered more quickly. It credits the source since users may now share material directly to their feeds.

Reposts Are Scheduled To Roll Out

Instagram has not given any indication of when this function will be available to all users it plans to do so.

This article will be updated with more information about the feature as it is shared.

Instagram is Stepping Back from Shopping Features

Instagram Steps Back from Shopping Features.

Instagram is currently seeking to scale back some of its newest features as it enters the fourth quarter, following a trying year of aggressive growth. In recent AMAs, CEO Adam Mosseri acknowledged that they had gone “too far into video,” implying a reduction in the platform’s unpopular focus on video material. This week, The Information reported that Instagram was considering eliminating shopping capabilities from the app.

Join Project Casting to access jobs you can apply to right now.

“Shifts in company priorities” is the reason for this move, as distributed to company staff in an internal memo on Tuesday, reported by The Information. Instagram plans to replace its current shopping page with a simpler and less personalized e-commerce feature called “Tab Lite.” The memo described the shift as “a new Northstar… for the commerce organization that (is) more directly tied to advertising revenue for Meta”.

According to CNBC, Instagram’s new location for its first-ever physical store will be in New York City. The decision appears to match up with Meta’s efforts to scale back its e-commerce activities, as Facebook’s “Live Shopping” feature will be phased out on October 1st. Despite this, a Meta spokesperson told Insider that commerce is still critical for Instagram and that the company has ideas about how it can continue integrating e-commerce into the app’s features.

This comes on the heels of last week’s news that Meta would be testing paid features across its platforms, including Instagram, in an effort to boost income after the company’s first revenue decline and loss in profit earlier this year.

Tabs Lite, a sleek new version of Google’s mobile search app, is now available to download via the Play Store. On Wednesday, public tests began and will continue in the months ahead. The company has tentative plans in place to remove the button that takes users back to the original shopping page by March 2023.

Julia Roberts Shares Acting Advice for Aspiring Actors

0

“I would say to any actor is don’t take advice from actors. It would be the worst thing to do because we all have our unique experience.” – Julia Roberts.

Julia Roberts, an Academy Award-winning actress less visible on the screen recently, is still one of the most famous American actresses. Julia Roberts attended Cannes to present this year’s Chopard Trophée, and she spoke with Variety about her career at the event.

Roberts believes that actors should not ask other actors for advice. she says: “When people say, ‘What advice would you give to an actor?,’ I would say the first thing I would say to any actor is don’t take advice from actors. It would be the worst thing to do because we all have our unique experiences.”

Roberts argues that not every “failed” audition for an actor is a failure. She uses the example of “opportunities” she missed which may have negatively affected her career. She recalls, “I’m so deeply thankful for all the jobs that I didn’t get because I auditioned for a lot of really terrible commercials and not quality television. And so, I think it was a lot of good fortune that no one wanted me. I look back on it with real good feelings now.”

She also claims that she doesn’t maintain her character during filming but enjoys seeing others do it. She says, “No way. Are you kidding? It is too much. You have to put the bag down… I mean, I admire people that do that. It looks exhausting to me and I secretly think: ‘Oh, I wish I could do that. I wish I could be that intense.’ I’m just kidding.”

How Much Money Do Instagram Models Make?

Becoming an Instagram model might be a lucrative profession, allowing you to share your career across the globe and connect with other prominent individuals in the field. You may do it all on your own time without having to deal with an agent.

Join Project Casting to access jobs you can apply to right now.

You’ll need to devote a significant amount of energy to Instagram to get there, which might imply relying on it as a full-time job. That raises the question: how much do Instagram models make? You’re probably intrigued about how much money you can earn daily with the increasing number of influencers and models.

It is debatable. The influencer market on Instagram, which includes individuals with large followings dedicated to marketing a brand and creating content for it, is worth around $2.38 billion.

What is Instagram?

Instagram is a popular photo-sharing app that allows users to share photos and videos with friends and followers. The app also includes filters and editing tools users can use to improve their photos and videos. Instagram is available for free on the App Store and Google Play.

Instagram is a great way to stay connected with friends and family and a great platform for sharing your photos and videos with the world. If you’re new to Instagram or looking for ways to improve your photos and videos, check out our tips below.

1. Use filters to improve your photos and videos

2. Edit your photos and videos using the editing tools

3. Use hashtags to help people find your content

4. Connect with other users by following them and liking their content

5. Share your photos and videos on other social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter

How do Instagram models make their money?

Many people don’t know how Instagram models make their money. The answer is quite simple: Sponsored posts. Companies and brands will pay popular Instagram users to take photos of themselves with the product or at a specific location. This job is very lucrative, as some sponsors can spend hundreds or thousands of dollars for one shoutout!

Why is it that some Instagram models make more money than others?

While some Instagram models make a killing, others don’t seem to earn as much. Several things will affect how much money you can bring in as an Instagram model:

  1. How many people follow you? Your follower count is the most important thing to consider when determining how much money you’ll make as an Instagram model. The larger your following, the more you’ll be compensated to advertise a product or style line. This is a typical marketing strategy for Instagram since the brand wants to utilize a model with the most significant reach possible.
  2. Your niche. The amount of money you can make as a model largely depends on the particular niche you choose to participate in. Different places are better suited for additional payouts. Consider your style, network, and interests when deciding which one is best for you.
Suppose you’re a high-fashion model working with high-end companies or luxury jewelry, for example. In that case, you’ll probably be paid for higher-value items or with more money. Other sectors may pay less but are less competitive and easier to succeed in.
If you have modeling experience, you know what strengths and weaknesses you carry. However, if this is all new territory for you, spend some time investigating the different modeling genres so that you can begin auditioning confidently.
  3. Your level of influence – You probably have a lot of sway over your fans if you have as much name recognition as celebrities like Hailey Bieber or Gigi Hadid. Although few people have household names, successful Instagram models are usually pretty well-known among their fans. That way, you can more easily communicate with your target market and be persuasive about what you’re modeling. Also, when companies know that you have a devoted following and a high influence, they’ll probably pay you more to promote their products. Your level of authority is primarily determined by the number of people who follow you. We’re back to talking about followers now.

Instagram Model Potential Earnings

Up until now, you have been reading about different aspects that could affect your earnings as an Instagram model. Now, it is time to set some expectations for yourself. You are probably thinking, “okay, but where are the NUMBERS?!”

Here they are, after looking through as many Instagram models’ accounts as we could get our eyes on! Here’s what we can tell you about how much money you might earn based on the data from all of those Instagram models’ accounts:

  • Fewer than 10,000 followers: When an Instagram model’s account has more than 6,000 followers, she or he may start earning a lucrative living. So if you’re below 10k followers, don’t worry; you can still make money! With this kind of following, you may earn around $88 per Post on average.
  • Between 10,000 and 100,000 followers: If you’re a model with more than 10k Instagram followers, brands will be interested in working with you because you can use the “Swipe Up” feature to link directly to their products. With such a large following, brands will come to you looking for modeling opportunities instead of the other way around. Models at this level can typically earn $200,000 per Post.
  • Between 100,000 and 1 million followers: There’s an implicit rule that models with more than 100,000 followers can charge $10 per 1,000 followers. Once you’ve reached 500,000 followers, you can make up to $650-$700 for each Post.
  • More than 1 million followers: There’s no end to what you can do. If your follower count is in the millions and you’re a real account, you have free reign to charge whatever you want. For example, Kylie Jenner (the most lucrative Internet influencer) earns approximately $1 million for each sponsored Post.

High-earning Instagram models to follow

Here are some of the best Instagram models to follow for inspiration:

Kylie Jenner (@kyliejenner)

  • Followers: 147 million
  • Engagement Rate: 2.3%
  • Earning per Post: $1 million+
  • Content: Luxury fashion and beauty

Kim Kardashian West (@kimkardashian)

  • Followers: 149 million
  • Engagement Rate: 1.1%
  • Earning per Post: $900,000
  • Content: Beauty, cosmetics, wellness

If you want to become an Instagram model, remember that it’ll take more than just posting popular content. You have to be strategic with who you follow and interact with if you want a chance at becoming the next big thing. Use these examples to inspire your account and see how far persistence takes you!

How to Audition for a Disney Channel TV Show or Movie

Are you looking for Disney Channel Auditions? You’ve come to the right place.

Many children aspire to see their names in lights on the Disney Channel. It’s not surprising why this is such a popular dream – many famous people have gotten their start on the Disney Channel and gone on to have great careers. Some well-known names include Selena Gomez, Zac Efron, Miley Cyrus, Justin Timberlake, Demi Lovato, and Ryan Gosling.

Join Project Casting to access jobs you can apply to right now.

Many people are auditioning for the Disney Channel, so how can you make sure you stand out? We know it’s not easy to get an audition with the Disney Channel, but it is possible. Don’t wait for your big break — take action and go after what you want.

Are you wondering how to audition for Disney Channel? Here’s a helpful tip – start small!

Some individuals jump into a Disney Channel audition without investing the time to develop their talents.

Although you may have to wait a little longer for your audition, it’s worth it to be fully prepared and have your skills polished. After all, wouldn’t you rather wait a few months or years and increase your chances of getting the part instead of going in sooner but not having as good of an opportunity?

Here are some ways to start small:

  • To truly hone your craft, take classes in as many different performance art styles at your local Arts school.
  • Take part in as many community theater productions as you can.
  • Find an agent who is well-versed in the area of acting you want to pursue.
  • Take as many roles as you can for commercials or tiny parts in films/television shows.
  • Before branching out to national networks, create your local one.

If you want to audition successfully for a role on the Disney Channel, try honing your skills, building confidence, and gaining experience through these methods before taking on an audition.

Learn New Skills from the Disney Channel Auditions

They can’t teach many skills, but plenty more that supplement talent very well.

Learn how to “make moments” in a scene. Learn when it’s appropriate to make people laugh. Learn how to utilize the energy in a space. Take musical theater, dance lessons, and other classes to help you become a more well-rounded artist.

If you want your child to stand out during their next Disney audition, make sure they have these different skills under their belt. With literally thousands of other kids trying out for the same roles (for example, over 1,200 girls auditioned for the part of Hannah Montana), giving them every advantage possible is essential.

Yes, this is easier said than done. However, you’ll be well-versed with these abilities by attending classes and practicing as much as feasible before your audition.

How To Audition on Disney Channel: Prepare Yourself

There is no such thing as being overprepared for an audition — but it’s difficult to say when you don’t know what to anticipate or what casting agents want from you. As a result, make sure you have everything ready. But don’t worry; this isn’t as daunting as it appears.

Make sure that what you prepare reflects your talents by practicing and practicing more until you are competent and relaxed in delivering it. Make sure that everything you create demonstrates your strengths. Create 30-60 second clips of singing, dancing, and acting performances that showcase your range, show off your voice and communicate with your target audience.

Having pre-prepared clips is great for when you need to share them with agents or casting directors. But preparing those clips also means you’ll know them well enough to perform them on the spot if asked during your audition.

Disney Channel Auditions: Let Your Personality Shine Through

Casting experts are searching for qualities beyond your expertise when evaluating potential actors. They want to understand who you are by seeing how you speak with your pals and family.

Here are some tips for making your audition memorable:

  • Instead of simply giving a yes or no answer to questions, provide as much detail as possible.
  • Although you want to appear professional, make sure your outfit choices reflect who you are as a person.
  • Trusting your instincts when reading an audition script is essential and allowing your intuition to lead you. When a casting director senses that you’ve made a personal connection with a character, they will be more likely to develop them throughout the rest of the audition.
  • Not only what you say matters, but also how you carry yourself. Make eye contact and smile with confidence to project the image you want.

Casting directors are experts at spotting actors trying to act vs. be their authentic selves, so resist the urge to pretend you’re someone else during your audition. Instead, focus on presenting your best self.

Know All of Your Choices for the Disney Channel Auditions

The Walt Disney Company is the world’s most extensive entertainment business. While this makes it one of the most desired and competitive jobs, it also means that there may be more opportunities than you realize.

Disney owns hundreds of networks and channels. As a result, rather than restricting your objectives to Disney Channel Original Movies or shows that air on The Disney Channel, it’s a fantastic idea to audition for one of the networks Disney owns. Here are some of the companies (at least partially) owned by Disney:

  • Touchstone Pictures
  • A&E
  • The History Channel
  • Lifetime
  • Hollywood Records
  • Pixar
  • ABC
  • ESPN

Therefore, if you’re trying out for a part on any of these networks, you are essentially auditioning for Disney. After nabbing a role with one of them, getting cast in the positions at Disney that you have always dreamed of having will be much simpler.

Do Your Research on the Disney Channel Auditions

If you believe that waiting for the ideal opportunity will come to you, you are sorely mistaken. You have to be proactive in your approach to a Disney audition, and doing your research is the most acceptable way to go about it.

Look up open casting calls in other cities for your research. These might be found in local papers or on Disneychannel.com. If you discover an open casting call for a smaller, less populous city, you have a better chance of being chosen. Additionally, they are more affordable because local casting calls do not require as much travel and money as heading to Los Angeles.

If you haven’t already, you should also be looking up casting directors for the current Disney series. You may submit your headshot, resume, and any footage you have to them. It’s possible they won’t respond to you, but they will know who you are if you receive an audition before them.

How to Audition on Disney Channel: Pursue your dreams and don’t give up on them!

The most difficult — but also the most crucial — part of your Disney Channel audition is over. It will take dedication and perseverance to make your wish come true, but it’s only possible if you don’t give up. Take pleasure in the process of obtaining your audition. Create smaller objectives along the road so you may never forget that the trip is as important as the destination—in this case, the Disney Channel!

Robert Downey Jr. to co-star in drama series adaptation of Viet Thanh Nguyen’s ‘The Sympathizer’ for HBO And A24; Park Chan-wook is directing the film.

According to Deadline sources, Robert Downey Jr. has found his next significant role after finally putting down the Iron Man suit in Avengers: Endgame. According to sources, HBO has ordered a drama series adaptation of Viet Thanh Nguyen’s Pulitzer Prize-winning book The Sympathizer with Robert Downey Jr.

Join Project Casting to access jobs you can apply to right now.

The novel is an espionage thriller and cross-culture satire about the struggles of a half-French, half-Vietnamese communist spy during the final days of the Vietnam War and his resulting exile in the United States. A worldwide search is underway for the lead role and the rest of the predominantly Vietnamese ensemble.

The book, called a “blistering examination of identity and America,” is regarded as a new classic of war fiction and has been compared to works by Kafka, Orwell, and le Carre.

Execs now will look to cast the title character, who will co-star opposite Downey.

The series is a co-production between HBO, A24, and Rhombus Media in conjunction with Cinetic Media and Moho Film. It will be directed by Park Chan-wook, the filmmaker of the film Oldboy. McKellar will also serve as showrunner alongside Don Downey, Susan Downey, and Amanda Burrell for Team Downey. Kim Ly will executive produce through Rhombus Media, while Niv Fichman exec produces through Rhombus Media. In association with Cinetic Media and Moho Film, HBO, A24, and Rhombus Media collaborated on the project.

It is the first project Robert Downey has taken on since he wrapped up his role as Tony Stark/Iron Man, and since he’s an Oscar nominee, he’s been quite selective. (He started filming for 2020’s Dolittlebefore Avengers: Endgame came out.) Several enticing offers are on the table. Sources say what made this role irresistible was the chance to display his versatility as an actor. According to insiders, he is tapped for multiple supporting roles as the main antagonist, representing a different segment of American society, including an ambitious Orange County congressman, CIA agent, and Hollywood film director.

How To Be An Actor?

There are a lot of different ways to be an actor. You can find work in movies, television, theater, or even video games. However, becoming an actor is generally the same, no matter what field you want to pursue. Here are the few steps you need to take to become an actor:

  1. Get training. While some actors are natural talents, most have had some training. You can take acting classes at a local community college or university or participate in online courses. Many acting schools around the country offer specialized training.

Commercial Acting Tips

As an actor, commercials can be a great way to get your face out there and earn extra income. But nailing the audition and landing the role is only half the battle – you also need to know how to act in a commercial.

Here are some acting tips to help you make the most of your commercial gigs:

  1. Be natural

The key to acting in a commercial is to be natural. You want to be genuine and relatable, so don’t try to overact or force anything. Just be yourself and let your personality shine through.

  1. Know your lines

Of course, you need to know your lines before you step on set. But it’s also essential to be familiar with the commercial’s script so you can understand the overall message and tone of the ad. This will help you deliver your lines with the right inflection and emotion.

  1. Connect with the camera

When acting in a commercial, it’s important to connect with the camera. Make eye contact and speak directly to the viewer as if you’re having a conversation. This will help create a connection and make your performance more believable.

  1. Be animated

While you don’t want to overact, it is essential to be animated in a commercial. Use your body language and facial expressions to convey your character’s emotions. This will help bring the commercial to life and make it more engaging.

  1. Take direction well

Commercials can be fast-paced and chaotic, so you must take direction well. If the director asks you to make a change, don’t hesitate – just go with it. This will help keep the flow of the shoot moving smoothly.

Commercial Acting Tips

Commercial acting can be tricky- you have minimal time to capture the viewer’s attention and deliver a message. Here are a few tips to help you make the most of your commercial acting gig:

  1. Make sure you understand the product or service that is being advertised. If you don’t know what you’re selling, it will be challenging to sell it to someone else.
  2. Be enthusiastic! Even if the product isn’t something you would typically use, pretend like it’s the best thing in the world- after all, that’s what you’re being paid to do.
  3. Be natural. The more relaxed and comfortable you look, your performance will be more believable.
  4. Remember that less is more. Don’t try too much- sometimes, the most straightforward delivery can be the most effective.
  5. Have fun! Commercials are supposed to be entertaining, so it will show if you’re not enjoying yourself. Smile and enjoy the ride!
