Jimmy Kimmel presented a special NBA-themed edition of his popular “Mean Tweets” segment on Sunday night. Dwight Howard and Stephen Curry are among the several basketball stars reading and responding to the mean twitter messages written by fans and even haters.
Jeremey Lin had a pretty hilarious comeback for the person who tweeted the message: “Jeremy lin need to git the weight room.”

Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night aired at 7 p.m. ET prior to the ABC telecast of the NBA Finals’ Game 5. The San Antonio Spurs would later defeat the Miami Heat.

The coffee empire Starbucks has announced a partnership with Arizona State University to pay for the (online) college education of its 135,000 U.S. employees, according to the New York Times.
The program is open to any of the company’s 135,000 United States employees, provided they work at least 20 hours a week and have the grades and test scores to gain admission to Arizona State. For a barista with at least two years of college credit, the company will pay full tuition; for those with fewer credits it will pay part of the cost, but even for many of them, courses will be free, with government and university aid.
The offer even extends to Starbucks other companies including Teavana, La Boulange, Evolution Fresh, and Seattle’s Best.
The program is called the “Starbucks College Achievement Plan“. “Partners will have a dedicated enrollment coach, financial aid counselor and academic advisor to support them through graduation. The program also will include adaptive learning services to help students progress at the right pace for them, networking and community-building opportunities and additional resources to help students plan their educations. (Arizona State University)”.
Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz is promoting the new program arguing that it will increase performance and attract and retain better employees.
With degrees in the Arts such as Exploratory Humanities, Fine Arts and Design aspiring actors, producers, and directors have the ability to work on their career while employed.
Also, since the requirement is only 20 hours a week, this may be one of the best jobs for aspiring actors allowing them flexibility for auditions, head shots, and acting classes.

After 20 years in Hollywood, Samuel L. Jackson still remembers his famous “Ezekiel 25:17” rant.
During an appearance on BBC One’s “The Graham Norton Show” last week, the British host asked Jackson if he still knows the now famous “Ezekiel 25:17” monologue from the Quentin Tarantino film, “Pulp Fiction“.
Evidently, Samuel L. Jackson remembered the words by heart.

“Untitled Armor Car (a.k.a Loomis Fargo)” starring ZachGalifianakis and Owen Wilson posted a casting call for stand-ins in Asheville, North Carolina.
The movie centers on the 1997 Loomis Fargo warehouse robbery that occurred in Charlotte, North Carolina where a night guard at an armored car company organizes one of the biggest bank heists in history.
Zach Galifianakis plays a disgruntled armored car driver who teams up with a pretty co-worker and a group of inexperienced criminals to steal nearly $20 million from a bank vault. The thieves leave a trail of evidence as they go on an excessive spending spree buying mansions, sports cars and boats. To add insult to injury, the driver’s team double-cross him and leave him alone on the run in Mexico while they live the good life in the United States.
The movie is set to star Zach Galifianakis, Owen Wilson and Kristen Wiig.

‘The Sunday Horse’ movie posted a casting call for a huge scene filming in Conyers, Georgia (outside of Atlanta).
The Sunday Horse’ is a feature film that is inspired by the story of Debi Connor, a rider from the wrong side of the tracks who overcomes prejudice and a near-fatal accident to become the United States champion jumper on a horse that everyone dismissed as untalented.

“Miles Ahead” starring Don Cheadle is currently seeking extras in Cincinnati, Ohio.
“Miles Ahead” is the latest movie starring Don Cheadle (Iron Man 2, Iron Man 3, House of Lies) and centers on the jazz icon Miles Davis. The feature film is described as an in depth look into the musician’s life as a young man and his struggle to overcome adversity and drug addition.
Don Cheadle will star, produce, and direct “Miles Ahead“. The story centers on a few dangerous days in the life of Miles Davis, as he emerges from a quiet period to the time he conspires with a Rolling Stone writer to steal back his music.
According to Deadline, Don Cheadle put a lot of his own money in “Miles Ahead”, a movie he has been wanting to get made for years.
Don Cheadle, recently set up a campaign with IndieGoGo to raise money for the production.
“Most studios don’t make these kinds of movies anymore, so we are doing it independently,” Cheadle said in a statement. “I’m personally putting a big chunk of money into our budget as well as putting all my fees back in. But the extra money we hope to raise on Indiegogo will help us re-create the multiple time periods we’re dealing with and with the logistics of incorporating all the music. We are excited to get people talking about the movie early, raise awareness, and set into motion the groundswell of support we hope will continue through to the film’s release.”
The movie is currently casting adults who are 21 and older with reliable transportation who would be available for filming this summer starting this June and into August. “Miles Ahead” is in search of local actors who have older cars to be used in the film.

Rick Rubin told BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe that he is currently “looking at vocal ideas” for Kanye West’s next album.
Rick Rubin previously worked with Kanye West on Yeezus, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
Last June, the producer commented that there was a possible second installment of Yeezus. During his last interview, Rubin commented that Kanye West sought his help in completing Yeezus with only 5 weeks prior to the scheduled release date. At that point in time he planned on including 16 tracks.
Rubin countered, “Maybe you should make it more concise. Maybe it is two albums. Maybe this is just the first half.” According to Rubin, West took to this idea with enthusiasm, leading to the final version of Yeezus containing just 10 songs.
There’s still no official word yet on when West might release his new album. But only months after the release of Yeezus in June 2013, Q-Tip noted that he and Rubin would be producing West’s follow-up release.
Recently, during the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival on Friday night, Kanye West commented on his previous performance in 2008. Wearing a face mask for 20 minutes into the show, Kanye West commented on how he was “offended” by the criticism of his 2008 performance.
Accusing the press of distorting the facts from the 2008 incident, West said “I did Bonnaroo six months after my mom passed. Pearl Jam went on three hours long. Where the press at? You gonna write about all these motherf—ers putting their hands in the air?”
Kanye West continued, “When I’m in the studio or doing an interview or making a T-shirt, I give everything I got. And when I talk that shit, it’s so you can talk that shit. If you’re fan of me, then you’re fan of your motherf—ing self. I promise you as I stand here, 37 years old, this is only the beginning. I ain’t concerned about anyone who’s living. I ain’t going after no one on the radio. I’m going after Walt Disney, Howard Hughes, Shakespeare.”

‘Teletubbies‘ are set to return to BBC with 60 new episodes.
Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa, and Po, who became worldwide sensations in the late 1990s will return for new episodes on BBC.
During the late late 1990s and early 2000s you could not go anywhere without hearing about the ‘Teletubbies‘. They were one of the most popular pre-school TV series and caused parents to search stores across the country in order to get their child a Teletubbie doll.
Although the program is aimed at children between the ages of one and four, it had a large cult following with older generations, mainly university and college students.
The mixture of bright colours, unusual designs, repetitive non-verbal dialogue, ritualistic format, and the occasional forays into physical comedy appealed to many who considered the show as having psychedelic qualities. Teletubbies was controversial for this reason. Other critics felt the show was insufficiently educational.
Teletubbies was also at the centre of a controversy when American televangelist and conservative pundit Jerry Falwell claimed in 1999 that Tinky Winky, one of the Teletubbies, was a homosexual role model for children.
Now, BBC is planning on reviving the TV series with 60 new episodes. The new TV series will be broadcast on a replica set of the original but, will feature enhanced CGI graphics to give a modern look and feel. According to the BBC, new episodes will premiere on CBeebies, BBC’s child network.
“I think that now is the right time to create new episodes of this much-loved, iconic show for the current CBeebies audience,” said Kay Benbow, controller of CBeebies.
New episodes will be produced by Darrall McQueen, a UK production company that has also produced “Baby Jake” and “Topsy and Tim” for CBeebies.
Maddy Darrall, executive producer for Darrall McQueen, said, “To work on the new evolution of ‘Teletubbies’ is like being handed the television crown jewels. ‘Teletubbies’ changed the landscape of children’s television and remains a much-loved pre-school series.” Darrall continued, “Our creative focus is on respecting the legacy and the heritage of the original and giving it a little creative scrub-up and technological sparkle to match the viewing expectations of a new generation.”

Hollywood Producer argues that Atlanta film crews lack experience and passion.
According to a recent article from AJCBuzz, a producer speaking at a Los Angeles panel discussing movie industry asserted that Atlanta-based film crews lack experience and passion.
Ellen Schwartz of Black Label Media was quoted saying that Georgia’s growing film industry is mostly due to the tax incentives and not due to the quality of film crews.
“There’s a lower quality among crews in incentive-heavy states such as Georgia because of their lack of experience. ‘That’s my biggest problem with chasing incentives. In Atlanta, this is all new to them. They have no passion and they think they know it all.’”
Black Label Media filmed “The Good Lie,” a movie starring Reese Witherspoon which filmed throughout metro Atlanta. “The Good Lie” centers on Reese Witherspoon as a brash American woman assigned to help the Lost Boys.
While filming, “The Good Lie” Reese Witherspoon was arrested in Atlanta for disorderly conduct, after her husband was pulled over for drinking under the influence. Watch the video below:
After Reese Witherspoon‘s arrest, production was delayed for an entire week, EOnline reports.
Perhaps, Ellen Schwartz‘s feelings regarding Atlanta were biased because of Witherspoon’s actions, or, the quality of the crew she hired was not what she expected. Regardless, during the panel discussion in Los Angeles, she did not further comment on experience in Atlanta. But, she did shed light on the Sarah Jones accident arguing that film crew members should always feel safe to raise safety issues without the fear of losing their jobs.

’22 Jump Street’ Trailer Replaces Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum With Their Stand-Ins
“22 Jump Street” has released a version of the film’s trailer featuring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum‘s stand-ins.
Ivan Hoey Jr. served as Jonah Hill‘s stand-in,while, Brad Cookus served as Channing Tatum‘s stand-in and it looks like they did a pretty good job.
Phil Lord and Chris Miller directed the hit sequel, which is expected to make $62 million this weekend, which is the second highest opening ever for a an R-rated comedy.
The trailer is basically identical to the original, but features the stand-ins as an alternate cast.

“Ashby” Starring Mickey Rourke, Emma Roberts and Sarah Silverman is now casting stand-ins in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The comedy-drama Ashbyfollows the relationship between a high school student, to be played by Nat Wolff , and a retired CIA assassin who only has months to live.
Tona B. Dahlquist Casting posted a casting call looking for actors to work as stand-ins the upcoming movie, Ashby. Casting directors are looking for Mickey Rourke’s stand-in as well as Emma Roberts.
A stand-in for film and television is a person who substitutes for the actor before filming, for technical purposes such as lighting.
Mickey Rourke had supporting roles in several films, including The Rainmaker, Buffalo ’66, The Pledge, Get Carter, Spun, Once Upon a Time in Mexico and Man on Fire. In 2005 Rourke made his comeback in mainstream Hollywood circles with a lead role in Sin City, for which he won awards from the Chicago Film Critics Association, the Irish Film and Television Awards, and the Online Film Critics Society. In the 2008 film The Wrestler, Rourke portrayed a past-his-prime wrestler, and received a 2009 Golden Globe award, a BAFTA award, and a nomination for an Academy Award.
Emma Roberts is the daughter of Oscar-nominated actor Eric Roberts, and the niece of Oscar-winner Julia Roberts. Her first movie role came in Blow (2001), where she played the daughter of Johnny Depp‘s character. Various small parts followed, until she was cast in the lead role of Addie Singer in Nickelodeon’s “Unfabulous” (2004).
More roles followed in various projects, including the eponymous heroine in Nancy Drew (2007), Hotel for Dogs (2009), 4.3.2.1. (2010) and Scream 4 (2011). In her 2013 return to television, she took on the role of Madison Montgomery in American Horror Story: Coven, the third season of the American Horror Story series.
