CBS ‘Under the Dome‘ posted a casting call seeking extras for  a scene filming in Wilmington, North Carolina.

CBS Under the Dome is based on Stephen King’s bestselling novel about a small town that is suddenly and inexplicably sealed off from the rest of the world by a massive transparent dome.

NCasting is looking for a ton of extras to work several days in the popular TV series, ‘Under the Dome‘. Casting directors are looking for people that area available from 6/17, 6/18, 6/19 of next week and 6/25,6/26 of the following week.

Talents will be required to bring winter clothes, winter jackets, gloves, hats, and sweaters to portray a winter scene.

FOX’s Batman Series, ‘Gotham’ Open Casting Call in New York City

FOX’s new TV series, “Gotham” is holding an open casting call in New York City.

Grant Wilfley Casting is seeking people interested in working as background on the new FOX series GOTHAM.

The new TV series is based upon the Batman universe. Gotham, centers on the origin stories of Commissioner Jones Gordon played by Ben McKenzie, as a rookie detective in Gotham City, and Bruce Wayne after the death of his parents, and the villains that made Gotham City infamous.
Jada Pinkett Smith has also been cast to play Fish Mooney, a imposing, sadistic gangster boss and nightclub owner with street smarts.
The series is written and executive produced by The Mentalist show runner Bruno Heller.

Casting directors are looking for men and women of all ages and ethnicities. Filming begins in New York in July.

Martin Scorsese’s ‘Untitled Rock N’ Roll’ Casting Call for in New York City

The untitled drama explores the drugs and sex of the 1970′s New York music business as disco and punk music were on the rise.

According to Variety, the show will be depicted through the eyes of Cannavale’s Richie Finestra, a record exec trying to build a record label and find the next new sound.

Olivia Wilde is set to play Devon Finestra, Richie’s wife and former actress/model who attempts to deal with the Richie’s crisis as it causes strain on their family and relationship.

Martin Scorsese is set to direct the pilot, which is written by Terence Winter of “The Wolf of Wall Street” and George Mastras from “Breaking Bad” with Mastras working as the show runner.

Casting directors are looking for Caucasian men and women with long hair, African American men and women with afros, and men with beards and mustaches. Think 1970s hairstyles, and fashion.

Filming is scheduled to start on June through early August.

Reports: Vin Diesel has a Huge Problem with ‘Fast and Furious 7’

According to recent reports, Vin Diesel is a jerk to be around on the set of Fast & Furious 7

It’s not all motivational quotes, dancing to Katy Perry, and singing Rihanna songs for Social Media’s favorite celebrity.

According to sources close to The Hollywood Reporter, Vin Diesel has not been to easy to get along with on set of the upcoming Fast and Furious movie. The website even reports that “some on set have fantasized about using the facial-replacement technology being deployed to put Paul Walker in the film for Diesel as well,” which is like saying they wish Vin Diesel died in the car accident instead of Paul Walker. 

Here is what the insider said:

“Vin spent a whole day in his trailer one day,” says one insider. “The next day, they waited four hours for him. He called a meeting [May 28] of studio execs to his trailer for two-and-a-half hours to say, ‘What the f— am I doing here?’ ” The next day, work was done with doubles.

Another source reports that the crew is suffering from “low morale” and “progress on the movie has been frustrating”.

But, Universal Pictures chairman Donnal Langley says there is nothing wrong. “This production is working through some challenges that are historically unprecedented. The crew and cast, led by Vin, have been nothing but terrific under these circumstances.”

But, the probably may be due to the decision to continue filming the movie with Paul Walker’s photo doubles instead of writing him out of the movie. Previously reported on The Hollywood Reporter, shows how much longer it takes to film a movie with Paul Walker’s photo doubles.

Peter Jackson’s Weta is tackling the effects work using three cameras (in addition to the main-unit cameras) to capture Walker’s stand-ins for face replacement. “There is a massive amount of gear,” reports the source. “Everything they want with Paul gets done three times over. Three [actors] times seven cameras per shot is a clusterf— of money being spent.”

If you have ever been on set, doing a scene twice can be frustrating enough but, seven times. Talk about a long and slow process to film a movie. Consider this a stop motion feature film animating all of Paul Walker’s parts.

‘Scouts vs. Zombies’ movie posted a casting call seeking extras to play zombies in a huge scene filming in Los Angeles.

Scouts vs. Zombies centers on the eve of their last camp out, three scouts discover the true meaning of friendship when they attempt to save their town from a zombie outbreak.

The upcoming feature film features Patrick Schwarzenegger as the popular high school quarterback who is a rival to the boy scout troop. Scouts vs. Zombies also features Tye Sheridan, Logan Miller, Joseph Morgan and David Koechner.

The movie is directed by Christopher Landon and is produced by Andy Fickman, Todd Garner, Bryan Brucks and Betsy Sullenger.

Man Arrested After Crashing Benz into CNN Headquarters in Atlanta

Someone drove a large Mercedes-Benz through the front window of the CNN Center in Atlanta at 4:15 Friday morning. CNN is reporting no injuries.

A man and woman were in the car at the time of the crash according to witnesses. WSB-TV reports that the man was taken away by the police.

Should You Put Extra Work on Your Job Resume?

Working as a background extra, you can fill up your resume pretty quickly.

The length of a background actor‘s employment on a production largely depends on the needs of the director and the scene(s) being filmed. Some background actors are needed on the set only for a day or two. Others may remain with the film for an extended period. On James Cameron‘s film Titanic, for instance, a group of 150 “core background actors” was hired to play the ship’s passengers. Those background actors were employed throughout the filming.

But, your job history will look unstable with multiple temp jobs. However, if you plan on applying for a job outside acting, you may not want to have pages upon pages of background extra work on your resume. Some production companies or corporations may be hesitant to hire you because they think you will quickly move on.

You can avoid this by bunching your temporary jobs together on your resume.

By listing these jobs as one entire work experience, you show that you have been consistently working and developing your skills rather than jumping from one job to the next.

On your job resume, you should put group all of your extra work together to show that you have been consistently working and developing your skills instead of working on small productions.

However, on your acting resume, try to focus on extra roles where you are featured in the production.

Duck Dynasty’s Ratings Continue to Drop

People are not watching ‘Duck Dynasty’ anymore

A&E’s ‘Duck Dynasty‘ continues its rating decline. The docu-drama series started their sixth season Wednesday with 4.6 million viewers. That is 46% decrease in viewers since last year. This is the seasons lowest rating since 2012.

Despite, the decrease in ratings, Duck Dynasty dominated the Wednesday night by a wide margin, according to Deadline.

Duck Dynasty had their highest ratings during their fourth season with 11.8 million viewers. The record for the highest amount of viewers for a reality series.

The reason behind why Duck Dynasty decrease in ratings is not really certain. The show is basically the same and promotion for the series has not really decreased.

Was it Phil Robertson‘s comments about homosexuality in December? Or the released photos, showing they are not really backwards hillbillies?

Whatever it may be, since the incident, people are not watching Duck Dynasty anymore.

Here are 29 TV shows people have just stopped watching.

FOX’s Glee used to be one of the most watched television series.Ratings were high, the show’s stars were featured on nearly every magazine cover but, now Glee is barely holding on. Glee is a teen musical comedy-drama series and focuses on the  William McKinley High School glee club.

Vulture has released a chart showing rating changes at network TV shows from 2012-2013 to 2013 to 2014. The graph points out that people currently watch less network television this year in comparison to last year and people don’t really care about Glee anymore.

TV Shows

Glee suffered a drop in viewership of nearly 45%. Glee is currently positioned between Raising Hope and Revolution, two TV series that were cancelled. FOX’s Glee most likely would have been cancelled this year, if it were not for the fact that last year FOX execs signed a two year contract guaranteeing two more seasons.

It comes to no surprise that most of these shows were cancelled.
