Angelina Jolie to Sue Daily Mail over leaked “heroin addict video”

It has been a very bad week for Daily Mail. Recently, the gossip news site had to apologize to George Clooney after he accused the tabloid of making stories about his fiancee’s family, and is now reportedly being sued by Angelina Jolie over a video that was taken over 15 years ago by a guy who claims he was her drug dealer.

The video originally leaked by the National Enquirer by a former Hollywood drug dealer, says he would occasionally drop off drugs at Angelina Jolie’s apartment to drop off heroin and cocaine.

DailyMail ran the video attaching their logo to the footage, under the headline saying, “Bloodshot hollow eyes, emaciated arms and rambling on the phone: Haunting video of Angelina Jolie the heroin addict”.

The Times of London comments that Angelina Jolie has “started legal action” against the Daily Mail and feels the video was a violation of her privacy.

In the video it shows her talking to her dad Jon Voight over a particular family situation.

World Cup Fan’s Facebook Photo May Have Ended Her Modeling Career

Teen world cup fan’s hunting photo cost aspiring models’ modeling career.

It has been a tough week for blonde teenagers. Earlier this week, 19-year old hunter Kendall Jones had her photos of trophy leopards, elephants and rhinos removed from Facebook after a worldwide backlash.

Now the career of 17-year old Belgian model who was discovered in the crowd at the World Cup, may have her career ended before it even began due to her own hunting photos.

Axelle Despiegelaere, was spotted in the stands during one of the World Cup games and she quickly became famous as one of the “most beautiful football supporters” and was picked up by the cosmetics company L’Oreal.

Here’s the video she made with the make up company this week:

Now she is on hot water. Someone found Despiegelaere’s public Facebook page, where she posted a hunting trip with a dead oryx along with a very anti-American comments. Needless to say the response was not positive:

L’Oreal has “cut ties” with the aspiring model since the photos emerged, the company said the contract was a one-off deal and the deal has been completed and the model is not a World Cup spokesperson for the brand.

A rep told reporters that the company was aware of the photograph, but would not comment on whether it was the reason why they ended their relationship with Despiegelaere. Furthermore, L’Oreal pointed out that they do not condone animal testing or anything with dead animals period.

L’Oréal “no longer tests on animals, anywhere in the world, and does not delegate this task to others.”

Despiegelaere hasn’t commented on the controversy around her photo, but she has deleted her Facebook page.

Bolden! starring Jackie Earle Haley, Omari Hardwick, and Michael Rooker feature film casting call for a principal role in Atlanta, Georgia.

Recounting the jazzy life story of legendary cornet player Buddy Bolden, the film began its initial production in early 2007. It is the passion project of Hyatt Hotels heir and writer/director Dan Pritzker, who has reportedly funneled millions into the film.

Anthony Mackie (“The Hurt Locker”) originally was featured in the title role but will be recast before filming restarts, according to Star News Online.Pritzker will reshoot all the scenes with the main character now played by a new actor. Mackie bowed out of doing the performance again. He has been replaced by Downton Abbey’s Gary Carr.

 According to IMDB, Bolden! features Jackie Earle Haley, Omari Hardwick, and Michael Rooker.

Keeping A Lion As A Pet? Lion Attacks Filmmaker

A video has emerged showing a pet lion attacking a documentary filmmaker while the owners struggle to save him.The shocking footage, taken during a shoot in the Czech Republic, shows the crew member trying to escape the lion’s hold as it bites down into him.

The lion owner and producer then race to free him from its grip. Luckily the crew member is only left with scratches on his back and stomach.

Footage of the incident surfaced this week, but the incident was captured in November 2013.

Several ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ Scenes were Directed via Skype

Some Dawn of the Planet of the Apes Scenes were directed over Skype.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes director Matt Reeves recently spoke to /FILM about working with actors over Skype for the first time in his career, after realizing he wanted to try something different in a scene with Andy Serkis.

So we did a thing where Andy was in London and he was at [his performance capture studio] the Imaginarium. And we hooked up via Skype and I looked at a big plasma and I talked him through what was going on in that last sequence as he’s coming down those steps. And we basically did it over Skype.

This was not his only time he directed from a computer. Reeves also discussed a Skype session where he had to re-film scenes they’d already shot, during which his actors where in different countries:

And so Jason Clarke was in Rome shooting this Everest movie and he was in a hotel room after a day’s shooting. And we were on the Volume [in Manhattan Beach California] and he was performing the new version of the scene to Andy who was in a fluorescent room and he was on Skype. And they played off of Skype and then a few weeks later I went back and shot, I got Jason here in L.A. and I shot him and Keri Russell against greenscreen. And then I had Andy over Skype and they played to Andy on Skype.

He points out that he is not sure if he’s the first one to direct over Skype, but that he would be okay with taking credit for it.

Study: Jimmy Fallon Talks Less than All Other Late Night Hosts

According to a new study, Jimmy Fallon spends less time talking than anyone else in late night television.

The study was conducted by Stephen Winzenburg, a communications professor at Grand View University, and shows that Fallon spends only 37% of the time “talking” to his guests on his show. That is far less than Jay Leno or Johnny Carson.

Fallon spends about 21 percent of his time on his monologue (not considered “talk”), just as Leno did, but Fallon spends 23 percent on comedy bits and 14 percent on music, both significantly higher than what Leno was doing as host of the show.

With 37 percent of his show dedicated to talk, Fallon is way below his peers. Craig Ferguson is next lowest at 43 percent; Jimmy Kimmel is at 48 percent; Seth Meyers and David Letterman are each at 51 percent; and Conan O’Brien is at 53 percent. [via]

Winzenberg argues that Jimmy Fallon does not have great interviewing skills and instead uses his Saturday Night Live background to make the show work.

“Fallon may have made the changes to downplay his weak interviewing skills and better utilize his Saturday Night Live background. But he also abandoned the edgy political humor of prior Tonight hosts in favor of song parodies and celebrity beer pong.” … “His relatively small amount of talk time is closer to that used by Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert…. The Tonight Show has become successful by looking more like a comedy variety series than a traditional talk show.”

And this entire time, I thought silence was golden.

HBO’s ‘True Detective’ Will Now Have Four Lead Roles

HBO’s ‘True Detective’ will have four lead roles.

HBO’s True Detective must have a good time manipulating the emotions of his fans. But, he has a lot to celebrate. His TV show received 12 Emmy nominations on Thursday, including a nomination for Pizzolatto himself for outstanding writing for a drama series. His show recieved nominations for Matthew McConaughey, Woody Harrelson, and a nomination for outstanding drama.

But, when it was first believed that the show would only have . It is now reported that the show will have four central roles. He recently spoke with the Daily Beast on what he plans to do with HBO’s ‘True Detective‘ Season 2. “That ballooned a little bit. I would say there are four central roles,” he says now. And we’ll have to “wait and see” if any of the leads are women, so that is an exciting development.

It’s still set in California, though. But, depending on how quickly these changes are happening. Nobody really knows for sure what is going to happen. Only, Nic Pizzolatto and he is holding out more than LeBron James and ‘The Decision 2014‘.

‘Fast and Furious 7’ finishes filming and writes open letter to fans

Vin Diesel has been working hard to keep his fans entertained and in the loop during the filming of ‘Fast and Furious 7.’

“Fast and Furious 7” has officially finished filming and is set for release in theaters next April.

Production of FF7 has released a message to fans on its Facebook page on Thursday, thanking them for their support 0f the movie.

Since Paul Walker passed away, ‘Fast and Furious 7’ producers have been really open with fans throughout the entire filming process.

We made it.

Today we completed the last shot in the production of FAST & FURIOUS 7.

We wanted to take this moment to express how thankful we are for your support. We felt the love and strength from our fans throughout this journey, and it’s because of you that we got here.

There was a time when we didn’t know how we could go on, or even if we should. But we listened to you, and you inspired us not only to keep going but to try and make the best FAST & FURIOUS movie yet.

Our FAST family has been together for almost fifteen years now and has grown a lot in that time. From the start, Vin has been our leader who feels what’s right for FAST in his gut and in his heart. When we had to stop production last year, Vin gathered us back together and moved us forward when we needed it most. He led us to this day.

Some of us have been here from the very beginning. Vin, Michelle, Jordana and our producer Neal all go back to that first little movie we shot on the streets of LA. We came back to LA in FAST 7, and it was an especially emotional homecoming for those who’ve grown up with each other since that first shoot.

There are those we count as brothers who we gathered along the way and are with us again: Dwayne, Tyrese, Luda, Lucas and our writer, Chris. We’ve got some new additions this time in Jason, Kurt, Djimon, Nathalie and our director, James. Caleb and Cody joined us to honor their brother and help complete his work.

Our family is big and strong but it won’t ever quite be whole again without Paul.

All of us — those who’ve been here from the start and those whose first FAST film is 7 — wanted to create a special film for him and for you. We believe we have.

Thank you for being there for us. You are the biggest part of our family, and we couldn’t have gotten here without you.

MTV’s ‘Finding Carter‘ Casting Call for featured roles for scenes in Atlanta, Georgia.

“Finding Carter” centers on a teenage girl who was abducted at age three and finds herself reunited with her long-lost blood relatives.
‘Skins’ actor Kathryn Prescott stars as Carter. Alexis Denisof, Milena Govich, Cynthia Watros, Anna Jacoby-Heron and Zac Pullam co-star in the new MTV series “Finding Carter”.

Casting directors are looking for new talent to work on a scene filming in New Orleans, Louisiana. Caballero Casting is looking for extras work on a scene filming in the French Quarter. Producers are looking for people with scooters and bicycles and looking for street performers and pedestrians.

Now casting ONE more day on Pitch Perfect 2 shooting in NOLA for NEW FACES! 
Works on Friday July 18 (day) in the French Quarter……we are not anticipating a long day however please do not double book yourselves please.
This is NOT a large cattle call.

According to NOLA, “the film, which was put on the production fast track to take advantage of Sofia Vergara’s “Modern Family” summer hiatus, is described as a buddy comedy about a police officer (Witherspoon) who goes on the run in Texas with the wife of drug boss (Vergara). In pursuit: a legion of lawmen — and lawless men.”

Casting directors are looking for men and women with vehicles older than 2002 to work an overnight scene filming in Raceland, Louisiana.

Filming will take place on Friday, July 11th.
